As well as a good selection of pedals and amps. As would be expected, they also sell PA equipment, drums and mixers, as well as a pretty hefty selection of used gear. The store also has six (I believe) teaching rooms, and a number of guitar and bass teachers. My former guitar teacher is now working there. As expected, they do repairs on musical equipment. There are a couple of reasons I am giving them four stars instead of five: 1)Their pricing isn't too competitive. 2)The owner does not like "random jamming" on the guitars, because they wear on them a bit. While this is a perfectly valid point, every other music shop I've been to will let anybody borrow a cable and pick and play with their guitars whenever they want. Why? Because they'll buy sooner or later. 3)The brother of one of my neighbors bought a Les Paul guitar there, and brought it in for service on something that was under warranty, and they would not honor the warranty. While I certainly don't know the whole situation, it's still something to consider.

When I got them back, all three sounded immediately better. The biggest change I noticed was in a Takamine P2 that Is my primary acoustic. Not only did the work get done flawlessly, but they took the time to explain why it was better. In addition to the Takamine, they worked on my father's vintage Martin and took great care of it. I would trust Artifact Guitars with any instrument. It's clear they can make a basic guitar great and a pro guitar amazing. In addition, I live 60 miles from the shop. My experience was a mixed bag. I brought in an old Les Paul bass with a broken headstock and a…read morebridge missing parts. Jes did an amazing job fixing a headstock no other luthier would touch, and also gave it a nice fret job and installed an aftermarket bridge. They made me pay in advance and then proceeded to take several months to complete it, I had to buy the bridge myself and deliver it to them, and then told me they were unable to figure out how to wire it up. So after hundreds of dollars and many weeks I ended up picking up a bass that STILL didn't work. I felt they should have gone the extra mile for me and researched it to make me happy, because a 5 minute Google search gave me the wiring and I just did it myself. They do nice work and Jes was friendly but I felt like I was not a priority.
