a variety of chocolates in a display case
Christina S.

Adorable chocolate shop located in a quaint building. Beautifully decorated and with so many options. There is typical chocolate shop options, bagged candies, chocolate-dipped nuts and caramels, and then the showcase.. oh my. To the right are a huge assortment of truffles.. amazing! They look small but they pack a huge punch. So rich and decadent To the left are chocolate dipped confections such as almond bars, coconut, pretzels and interesting items like honeycomb. For each dipped ingredient, you have a choice of milk or dark chocolate. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and professional. The chocolates were packaged in a beautiful red box, perfect for gifting or as a special present for yourself.

I found this little shop while walking down Main Street looking for a restaurant to eat dinner. The shop itself was kind of neat looking so I decided to stop in. The restaurant was very clean and the display looked fantastic. the girl behind the counter was very friendly and willing to offer suggestions on which things to try. I have paid $2 per chocolate on several occasions and I've never been disappointed, but this time it was just okay. The flavors were not that varied and unless you chose a berry vs ganache vs caramel filling, they tasted a lot alike. Overall just an average chocolate experience. I purchased 10 pieces for $21. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible.

They had some interesting looking thick quiches, things like croissants, cakes, tarts and macarons (the girl behind the counter corrected my friend by saying "macaroon" which is technically incorrect). I'm a sucker for a good bread pudding but i should have reconsidered since that was the thing they seemed to have plenty of. They didn't heat that or the pear Tartlett up; eating them both cold was unsatisfactory (I know we should have said something but then a line was forming) and I felt sick after eating the bread pudding (perhaps too rich and just too cold and sad). I didn't feel very comfortable in the space, as I was expecting something more quaint and charming vs. old and in need of a makeover and cleaning. This was one experience so I would give it another shot, maybe earlier in the day. Metered street parking or there's a municipal lot around the corner.

They came in a nice gift box and inside were smaller boxes - each one contained an individually wrapped gourmet pretzel. It was coated in white chocolate and covered with lavender nonpareils. I stopped in after work and was greeted by the friendly staff at the counter, who helped me choose and answered my questions about their different fillings. All the treats are displayed in a glass case, and let me tell you, they taste just as amazing as they look. I went with the strawberry cheesecake, dulce de leche, and Samoa cookie cupcakes. I also got a massive slice of their Italian Rainbow Crumb slice(it felt like half a pound!)--so moist, soft, and packed with flavor. Not to mention, I grabbed a 1/2 lbs chocolate chip cookie and three doggie treats (my pup Abbie gives them 5/5 paws!). They even offer a 4% discount for cash payments, which was a nice perk. As you can see from the pictures, everything looks incredible, but one bite proved it's not just about appearance. The flavors are bold, the icing complements the cake perfectly, and the cupcake cream is luxuriously rich. If you're looking for delicious, fun cakes that won't disappoint, I highly recommend Caked Up Cafe 5/5 stars!

They were delicious so I figured that I would finally stop in and try. So many adorable options ! Almost an overwhelming amount. I ended up choosing a Mallomar Cupcake, Half Baked Cupcake, candy corn cupcake, and a hostess style cupcake. They were all quite good. I will say that the chocolate cake was a little bit drier than I feel that it should have been. The vanilla cake was perfect. I do like that all of the cupcakes were filled into the center. My favorite of those that I purchased was the Hostess style. All of the cupcakes were thoughtfully decorated. 4 cupcakes cost just over $17. Each is priced somewhere between $4.25 and $4.95.
