A bike carrier hitch failed on my vehicle while I was driving at highway speed. The carrier and bikes came off, landed upright, and spun around in the roadway. This could have caused a major accident. Jose, who happened to be nearby, avoided hitting it, stopped traffic, and took control of the situation. He carried the hitch and bikes to the side of the highway and then helped me safely navigate backing down the shoulder so I could retrieve everything. He had absolutely nothing to gain by helping me. In fact, he put himself at risk to protect other drivers and help a complete stranger. I tried to give him $50 as a thank-you, and he refused to accept it. All he asked was that I leave his business a good Google review and refer customers to him. Jose is a prince. Honest, brave, calm, and decent. This could have had a much worse outcome, and we were very lucky he was there. Based on his character alone, I would trust him and his business completely. People like Jose are rare, and he deserves every bit of recognition and support. I took a picture of him to remember him by.

We agreed on a price/date. On the date/time the work was supposed to be done, the guy doesn't show up and states he's doing another job right now. That's fine, I get it. Shit happens. Should have given me an update at the very least, no? Especially since I told them I had another company that was willing to do it but I chose Barricella once they were able to meet the price. The least they could do was show some courtesy here and give me a heads up so I could plan accordingly. I live in NJ and drove to NY and canceled some plans expecting work to be done but they weren't even going to show up. Because it's in NYC and I needed the super of an apartment behind my home to allow for easy access for the removal of the tree, the super (who wasn't a live-in super) had to travel to the building only for me to tell them, face-to-face, Barricella wasn't going to show up. Nice. No apology, no nothing. Just a "We can't show up." Totally disregarding other people's time. I ended up just calling the other company and within a few days, they completed the job. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously. Edit: To prove how even more unprofessional this business is, they sent me a message claiming I was posting a fake review. I responded by uploading a photo of our conversation. The owner is now claiming that the photo is also fake. Not only is this immature and unprofessional, it tells me they are taking zero accountability for their mistake and are doubling down on being unprofessional.

He said he'll send his other worker Yucute. He came the next day to give us an estimate and said he can come back in a few days (this week). We were impressed because the other places we called had up to a 3 week wait. Yucute did the work for us yesterday. Our front yard went from looking like the entrance of a haunted house to perfectly pruned/trimmed. Our back yard is no longer like a jungle. We have more work that needs to be done so Pat Landscaping will be the company we go to. We need some ivy to be removed so i can start a garden. Yucute said he can pull all the ivory and put some top soil down for the garden. That's really nice because this is my first time trying a garden and i wasnt even thinking about top soil. I'm sure my garden will be successful with Yucute's help. Great customer service and awesome results. Definitely go with this place.

Some companies ask for ridiculous amounts of money. And just as bad, they are difficult to deal with. One company wouldn't give me a price without coming to see it. That part is fine. But then they wouldn't come unless I met with them. For what?? It's in front of the house. There's no gate. Just go look at it! Josue from Premier Arborworks came, looked and got back to me. He said it's not even a tree. Just a tall bush (I'm blind). And he gave a reasonable price. He asked if I also wanted to have my magnolia tree pruned. Yes! It was really overgrown. We did haggle a bit. But we settled on a price for the 2 things that worked for us both. He came with an assistant and took care of it. No drama. When I went out to say hello, he pointed out that there were actually 2 that were falling over and one good one. Asked if he should take both that were leaning. I said yes. He didn't charge extra! That is such a wonderful surprise in 2026 when there are people who want to charge you for giving you your bill! This was fast, reasonably priced and most importantly, NOT stressful
