We stopped by for their Wicked themed menu. However, we weren't too impressed by the venue or decor. Although music was playing, it wasn't Wicked theme. We thought it was a missed opportunity to capitalize on the theme they were promoting. After a few drinks, we left since the music was a bit loud. With that said, I would definitely come back for a night out.

Ended up here while waiting for a reservation... drink prices were a little high. Interesting crowd too. Definitely an instagrammable type spot with all the Halloween decor. Don't see myself coming back, unless in a similar situation of waiting for reservation nearby, but glad I experienced it once!

If Jack Skellington and Sally ever opened a bar together, it would 100% be Tree House Chicago. From the cobwebs to the glowing skeletons hanging from the ceiling, this place nailed the spooky-chic vibe -- equal parts eerie and electric. Themed cocktails? Oh, they don't play. My drink looked like it was straight out of a Tim Burton dream -- one came in a glass box with fairy lights and a spider (because why not?), and another was bright green with a gummy worm hanging off the rim. Creepy? Yes. Delicious? Also yes. The menu keeps the fun rolling with dishes like "Oogie Boogie Beef Rolls" and "Frog's Breath Dip." Honestly, even the food names had me grinning before the first bite. Bonus points for the bartenders who were fully in character and totally leaned into the Halloween magic. Every corner is Insta-worthy -- from the giant Jack and Sally setup to Oogie Boogie himself lurking in the corner. It's the kind of place where you can sip your drink, hum "This Is Halloween," and pretend you're part of the movie. So if you're in Chicago this spooky season, head to Tree House and step into Halloween Town. Trust me, it's a frightfully good time.

This place is very cute especially for this holiday or seasonal pop ups. I went to their Valentine one this year and Halloween Town one as well. It wasn't really crowded at around 9pm on a Friday but after a couple of hours it did. You can reserve a table online or head over to the bar. We walked in and got seated at a table. There is a lot of cute background you can take pictures with and very cute. We got their mocktails and it was pretty good and refreshing. Our waitress was so nice, she kept checking up on us.

My husband and I went here to watch the Bears versus Packers playoff game, and it exceeded my expectations. This wouldn't have been our first choice, but I'm glad we ended up there. There was room for us to sit at the bar shortly before the game started, the drinks were reasonably priced, as was the food. We got buckets of beer and a pizza and cheese curds. All good. The bartender who served us was very friendly and helpful as well. They still had Christmas decorations up, which was fun to see.

Lots of fun holiday decor and themed festive drinks! Food is above average bar food fare. Drinks are novelty and on the sweeter side. I enjoyed one of the mocktails. We were surprised by the waffle fry seasoning which had a BBQ taste. They do autogratuity for large groups and add a 3% staff fee too. Servers were attentive with water, but dishes piled up on our table. Ambiance was loud making it difficult to chat. Great if you are looking for an Instagram friendly holiday themed night!

The tree house is a fun place. The staff is friendly, the decor fits the theme perfectly and the food is decent bar/finger foods. The drinks are strong but they are tasty. Some nights have entertainment. Unfortunately the night I went did not. I gave three stars because for a Saturday night, it would of been nice to get a themed experience and the menu could have a bit more options on it. It is a small menu. I did order the fish and chips which has a nice crisp on it.

Tree House is always super busy and hard to order a drink and get to the bars, but they do a really good job with holiday decor. They knocked it out of the park with Halloween decorations, and their Christmas and New Years decor is also great too, especially considering what a large space they have to fill.

We only drank so I can't speak to the food but drinks were really good. This place was decorated so cute for Halloween . We had great service from Vinny at the bar . Such a great environment.

Really great, friendly environment with a fun vibe. The staff was welcoming and the drinks were definitely the highlight -- they more than made up for the food, which was okay but not amazing. The only downside was the automatic 18% gratuity. Not that the service wasn't good, but it was a bit of a downer considering it was a non-busy day and they were only serving two of us. Overall, still a solid spot for drinks and atmosphere.

Went for their Emerald City pop-up, which was Wicked themed. They played regular pop and hip hop rather than the Wicked sound track. They were definitely busy! Vibes were immaculate, you can tell they put so much effort with the giant clear balloons, and the space was decked out into green and pink. They have trendy photo ops at the back! The pot o gold chicken nuggets came crispy and quite tender chunks with lots of waffle fries underneath. I wish there were more nuggets and less fries, but it's fine. Pop-u-lar pizza was a classic pepperoni pizza with no frills. $20 "we can't all come and go by bubbles" nonalcoholic drink, was a yummy pink lemonade base with a rock sugar candy wand. The emerald city drink was priced at $65 and easily shareable by 4-5 people, pretty yum!

I love how TreeHouse went all out with their decor for Spooky Season this year. If you're a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas you're going to love this pop up! They even have food and drinks that are so cute to go along with their theme! The food was phenomenal, my drink was a little weak but it was still a vibe! I love that it's also kid friendly before 8pm. I know my teen enjoyed it! Definitely worth checking out to get into the Spooky Season spirit!

Went to Chicago for a mini girls trip and stumbled upon this place. We were intrigued by the Alice and wonderland theme and it did not disappoint!! You can tell the amount of effort and hard work that went into this pop up. It was perfectly executed. We ended up going with the patron tower margaritas, we ordered the strawberry, passionfruit, blueberry, and mango. They were delicious!! What truly sold us and caused for the five starts was our waitress Gabby!! She was so sweet and helpful. Truly the best, this was our first night of our trip and we could not stop thinking about her and talking about her for the rest of it! Two things to note: upstairs is a nightclub called the tunnel we also had a blast up there, again totally unplanned. We walked in thinking we would walk right out after a drink or two at the bar and didn't end up leaving until hours later. Although the menu says that 20% is automatically taken from your bill for tip, this is untrue. They no longer do that so your total DOES NOT include a tip. Overall we had a blast, again shoutout to Gabby for being so amazing! Wish I was a local so I could come more often and check out the next pop up they have planned :))

If you're a more distinguished skater, you might want to bring your own skates, but I have a feeling you'd be doing that anyway! The bumper cars were surprisingly funny and I had a good time figuring out the control configuration that would let me optimize rear-ending my sister as much as possible. The things they have on sale, nutcrackers, candies, hats and sweaters, were surprisingly well priced. The food and drinks were also well priced. In Fulton Market, at a pop-up, you become a little cynical and expect insane pricing but it actually was quite fair. I picked up some cute cookie tins as a last minute gift. All in all, the Jack Frost pop-up was a lovely surprise and with its excellent location in Fulton Market, you have plenty of dinner options for later! I do highly recommend a weeknight to avoid crowds!

So I came by one Sunday before opening and was surprised that there were only about five people ahead of me in line shortly before they opened. They threw the doors wide open precisely at noon. Asa, the proprietor, clearly has a passion for the work she does. She's a bit of a cross between a poet and a pastry chef--check out the descriptions she writes of her pies if you don't believe me! Each slice is unlike any pie I've ever tasted. She had a pie with fig, and that was the closest to a conventional pie she had (if you can call it that--as I said, I find it hard to describe her offerings). All were creamy, decadent, and unique in the true sense of the word. Her crusts were amazing. Also unique is the way she runs her business. She is based out of a little counter in the Poke San that's on the corner of Wells & Huron. The hours she keeps are minimal. And it's a total of two people--her father, who takes payment, and her. Her passion comes out in the care that she takes with each slice: She bakes the pies, of course, but then she adorns them upon ordering. You will wait several minutes once you've ordered your slice, and if you are in line you will be waiting for a while depending upon your place (being 5th or 6th in line, I was finished about 15-20 minutes after the shop opened). It's clear she sees this as artistic expression, and honestly that is plain to see in how she finishes each slice: A brûlée'd top on this one (caramelized whilst you watch), decorating that one with local--real--flowers. It's an experience and if you like to try new things, or just taste something that is fairly unlike other local offerings, you should consider giving it a try before she moves on to new ventures.

Got the second one which is creamy cinnamon flavor with a brûléed top. There's some poured rice and cinnamon crème fraiche on the top. It wasn't overly sweet (huge compliment), and the crust was very flaky. How it works: -you can order at the window and there's little menus that are handwritten with the four pie options -the base pie is already done, and she will finish and add the decorations and toppings after you order Packaging is beautiful and very high end. Service was very fast (no one in line on a Sunday afternoon). Definitely will be back!

Everything was fine but to be frank the Shrimp Cocktail was the best thing we ate, simple and perfectly fresh. The service was pushy, when a server wants to take you order less than 3 minutes after sitting down, it feels like you're on a conveyor belt. We felt the prices were way out of line, with tip I spent almost $500 for a bottle of cava and appetizers for two people, for that, the food should have been more memorable. I wouldn't fault the restaurant for the drink or dessert taste as I know others really enjoyed theirs. Our server was most attentive and very helpful.
