I called Treat's to have someone come out to see if we needed to upgrade or replace our AC unit. We have had issues with cooling our 3600sf home and were looking for options. Jodie came out and within a short time determined there were no upgrades we could make. Yes, we could spend a bunch of money on a new unit, but the ducting was already maxed out. Even with a larger AC unit, we really would not gain a lot of benefit. We could add another unit to pump air into other areas of the house, but that would be a lot more money. Turns out there were other ways we could keep the house cool and we were doing many of them. In short, she talked me out of adding anything at that time. We were currently doing everything we could and the 10+ year old unit was still working. She was open and honest, and I was incredibly appreciative of her time. They try to get someone out for service as quickly as possible. Daniel came out yesterday to check our non-working thermostat. We have had him out before for the same problem and he was able to coax it back to life. But, time It has to be replaced. They gave us an estimate on a new one. I have been having issues with my heat pump not operating properly since mid summer. One of the major local companies refused to look at it as he was here for a follow up on another issue. The company that installed the unit came out with 3 bids ranging from 14,000 to 18,000 on a new unit and said that 12 years was pretty old for a heat pump. I was at Enumclaw parade this winter and was given a card from one of the sponsors, Treat's. I decided to give them a shot. The technician was professional and friendly. He got right to work and found the issue on the board rather quickly. He also reprogrammed my thermostat as the installer that sold it to me programmed it for gas and I have electric emergency heat. Incredibly responsive, easy to work with and fast to respond. We were lucky enough to get Kat for our technician. She was on time, understanding and very clear on the whole process. With my lack of knowledge with this sort of thing, I thought our furnace was SHOT and needed to be replaced. They could have easily told me that and I would have signed on for a replacement. But no, the problem was relatively minor and Kat was honest from the get go. On top of that, the final price to repair was a fraction of what I thought it would be. We called Treat's to have them come by and service our furnace. Nick, the technician, was super helpful and friendly. He was able to figure out that we needed to replace the inducer motor assembly. Definitely 5 star service from Nick. Afterwards, Kate from the service department, was the person we had to deal with to get the rest of the service scheduled. According to my wife, Kate had terrible customer service over the phone. From the beginning of contacting Treat's to the follow up of trying to schedule the rest of the work, we couldn't believe that someone can talk to someone over the phone the way she does and expect to keep their business. So we decided to not continue with Treat's because of how rude Kate was over the phone and will look elsewhere to complete the repairs. 0 stars for Kate. read more

Nick called ahead and arrived on time. He was courteous and thorough. He checked our furnace, measured for CO in the heat outlet registers, measured the gas pressure, and examined the flames. He wore little plastic booties when needing to enter the house. Seeing that there was no flame rollout he opined that the heat exchanger was OK. He gave some helpful advice on nighttime temperature settings and keeping outlet registers free of blockage. The charge was reasonable. We would use Treat's again. read more

Slept so poorly when it hit the upper 80s in June 2021 because our Heat Pump wasn't working. After the first night in this unbearable heat, we had two choices, call for repair or get a hotel room. We are glad we chose the second option because Treat's had us up and working well before the next day of upper 80s heat. Now we are so cold (a good thing) that even ice cream won't melt! Tonight's sleep will be extremely pleasant and without the sweats. Treats did a remarkable job servicing our unit and a super fast turnaround too! Our home heating and cooling is served by two heat pumps. The first floor failed after 18 years of service. Treat's replaced the Trane with a more efficient Carrier unit 19 months ago. Last week Treat's replace the upstairs unit with another Carrier unit, again more efficient. What is nice is the new Corr thermostats that can be managed from my smartphone from anywhere. I am sad to say that this company's competency and customer service is going downhill. I had a "top of the line" Carrier as described by Treat's servicemen installed in 2016. During the recent cold snap in the Maple Valley area with frigid temps in the teens, my furnace failed. Two different technicians gave me two different diagnoses of the problem, but despite the frigid temps I had to call Treat's back to find out if they had ordered my part. I was handled by a woman named Kate who treated me brusquely and was condescending with an attitude and I could not get a straight answer from her about my part. My request to speak to the manager was ignored. All I knew was my replacement part was going to cost me over $400 even though my "high-end" furnace was still under warranty. The bill was not itemized but I was told I was being charged a "trip charge" even though it is fifteen minutes from Enumclaw to my house in Black Diamond, and some "re-diagnosis charge" and an outrageous labor fee. I am being nickel and dimed on a machine that should still be working well 7 1/2 years after installment. And worse, when the technician returned with the ill-fated part he said he had to shut down my furnace because it was leaking CO. And the price tag for the next chapter on my lemon furnace was going to cost me over $1000 in labor! I am done with Treat's incompetency, poor workmanship and lousy customer service. I am switching to Washington Energy Services. I either received a lemon or it was installed incorrectly. Treat's tried to blame me for lack of maintenance but the technician admitted today he has never seen the top of the line have complete failure like this. And in my book, you can't blame the customer for that. read more

Used this company when smaller for many years. I Called having an issue with the heat pump that had just been serviced two months prior I was told by their tech all was fine. Shortly after he left my unit said malfunction called him and he was on his end of day and hung up. Received a receipt for the visit and a quote that should fix my issue for over 4K but without any itemization. I requested 3-time itemization and was told by Kate she was working on it. I was not satisfied with how the lack of identification of the issue happened and the non-itemized invoice. Called a different co that determined the root cause of the issue and repaired it with an itemized invoice for 50+ percent than they wanted to charge me. My advice request an itemized invoice, and demand they find the root cause. I will educate seniors on this and address with the powers to be this trend of not giving itemized invoices. I hope this saves you money! Sad this is happening! read more
