We had maintenance pest control at our home in CA, and we knew that we wanted it for our home in Star. I solicited a few estimates from local companies. Prices for the service were about the same, though one company recommended an initial treatment, a follow-up treatment 30 days later, and every two months from then on, for a total of 7 treatment in the first year, for a total annual cost of $880. They claimed that, since we lived close to the Boise River, we would really need extra protection from bugs and critters. In contrast, Phil from Custom Care recommended quarterly service, stating the they could always go to every other month if needed. I liked this approach better. I didn't feel like they were going for my pocketbook. Total annual cost the first year: $520. Aaron, the technician, contacted me right away and set up and appointment for the following week. He showed up as scheduled, explained his process, and went right to work. This included interior and exterior treatment, and he even set some mousetraps in the garage, saying that with the construction going on around us, this would be extra protection. I appreciated that. I signed up to pay for a premium service. This week, on Monday, we had dozens of centipedes in our basement. So we call for an additional service which they do include at no charge. Our sales guys said they would usually come by in 24 hours, sometimes 48. THEY SCHEDULED ON SATURDAY. Then, the day before they were supposed to come out, THEY MOVED IT TO MONDAY. One week to get a respray because the most recent one wasn't effective? Worst pest control service I have ever had. It's not worth half what I was paying. My old service. Let alone double. So I called today. Dealt with their crappy AI phone service and finally got someone on the line. They said they were so so sorry and would have the operations manager call me. Never happened. This business sets the bar really high, then finds a way to go as far under it as possible. They are not even in the stratosphere of setting the expectations they set for themselves. My sales guy said most of the bad reviews on here were from guys ignoring no solicitation signs. That might be true. But rest assured, their service is very deserving of the one star rating they got on here. When the Aptive guys come knocking, send them away. They suck.
