I have used Vanguard for six years and they have serviced every house I have lived and my rental. They come out quarterly to do a full service and make sure that all areas are covered. If issues arise between services, just give them a call and they will send someone out to take care of you. Tim was sent on this last visit and he was fantastic! He was helpful in educating how some of the sprays work and how to further prevent some of the issues between services if needed. But he very much made sure that if we needed anything between services, to call and they will get him or someone else out. Highly recommend using them! read more

We hired this company for pest control with our franchise food business, and all was well until summer came. I now have continuous problems with flies outside the restaurant, and that leads to more inside than is acceptable. Vanguard came out an extra time recently to put out extra product to deal with this problem, and just days later it was worse. We called in again and the receptionist told us to wait a week and see how it is, never mind the fact that its in the contract that they are supposed to come out as needed for additional problems. Bad customer service, and thus far sub par work from this company, we will be looking for someone else to do this job. read more

We have been very please with Vanguard Pest Control. We have been with several pest control companies throughout the Valley and these guys are the best! They are willing to come out on Saturday, which works best for us because we need to bring our dog inside while they spray. They have also come back out a couple of weeks after spraying if we ever have an issue. We are customers for life! read more

An interesting break from reviewing restaurants....but this place screamed for a 5 star review! We had been noticing several wasps entering the siding by our slider in the back of the house...no big deal...hey, they live here as well and only about 2 or 3 were going in and out...probably building a nest...not bothering us...guess it's OK...Hmmm....About two days later, my observant neighbor dropped by to tell us that swarms of wasps were coming into the house via the roof vent on the side and leaving out the garage vent...How did I miss this??? A quick call to Vanguard was in order (really good reviews on Angies List...)...Was greeted on the phone by a very pleasant young lady who assured me that a technician would be over that afternoon....and he was...about an hour later! WOW! Prompt service. The technician was a young very polite fellow who examined the entire house...listened carefully to my 'complaint' and gave me a price for the 'fix'...OK...fair price...and reasonable follow-up....I remember having a pest control contract in New York and this was basically the same type...made good sense to me. "Will start the process tomorrow...what time is good for you?" Decided on 9AM ....and 9AM it was...on the button! A VERY nice, professional, knowledgeable technician named Bobby Davis arrived and assessed the situation per his co-workers notes. Told him to please feel free to come in without knocking since he would be working both inside and outside the house...And he did...I noticed he removed his shoes when he came in...Nice! Very considerate and professional! He proceeded to explain what he was about to do...discussed the materials he was going to apply inclusive of their effectiveness and their safety factor and what to expect. Very thorough and exacting! Completed his work without disturbing anything either inside nor outside the house...After completing his work, he again reviewed the process and the follow up visits to come....also exchanged several pleasantries regarding fishing and some local 'hot-spots'...a nice end to a professional job. Highly recommend these folks...EVERYONE was polite, professional and learned about their job...nice to find this old-fashioned service, something that seems to be lacking in just about everything these days... read more

The technicians have always been kind and professional and have always done a great job each time they come out. We had a company come to do pest control. They told us what they'd do and it sounded great. We hired them and the tech came and we thought they did what they were supposed to do. VANGUARD came by a couple days later and when I told them we just had it done Austin pointed out to me that the job was not complete and showed me several areas that were not taken care of. He said what he would do for us which was to come out for free and do it again just to get our business. We called the other company to give them a chance to rectify the situation and they didn't return our call. Vanguard sent Chester to take care of things. I just had my first check in after the initial spraying and have been very pleased with Vanguard. Two different technicians have come out and both were very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Even after the first preliminary spraying we've experienced a significant reduction in the amount of spiders and earwigs in the house/basement. It's a little pricey ($89 every three months, +$350 a year) but they'll come out any time between the quarterly visits for no additional charges if the product breaks down and bugs start getting in. And you can make some money back with referrals. Best part was they were very mindful of the honey bees we had in the garden on the back of the house and didn't spray on the first visit, since the first "real" visit was going to be in cooler temps and the honey bee activity was reduced. read more
