I was referred here and I am extremely thankful. The doctor and the staff were all 100% amazing. I had to get a root canal retreated due to its age and that dentist used a rather large post. So let me be clear this office had to contend with what many including this office say this is the bigger post they have ever seen The procedure took two visits over 6 total hours. They kept me comfortable and at ease the entire time. The doctor said I won't give up until you want me to and he never did. To that end he was able to successfully retreat my root canal. I was very worried about getting my first root canal. I'd been dealing with tooth pain for 4-years and my dentist referred me. The staff at Treasure Valley Endodontics made the process smooth and virtually painless. My recovery was quick and hassle free thanks to very good instructions and a caring doctor who even called me to check up on me the evening after the procedure. I would highly recommend this place. I had to get a root canal redone. I know sounds like a blast. The staff was super friendly and explained everything. Dr. Stanton was a great guy he walked me through my x rays and explained treatment options. After my root canal treatment I was told I could have discomfort for up to two weeks. The very next day I felt great did not feel any tooth pain or sensitivity. Was just a little sore where the shot to numb me went in. By day two I was at 100 percent. Highly recommended. All staff members were fantastic and Dr. Widmer explained everything from X-rays to what was happening along the way. 1,000,000 5 star reviews is not enough for this location but I am taking the time to contribute my stars. After my normal dentist referred me to seek the help of a competent endodontist I found Treasure Valley Endodontics. Upon meeting Stanton and his staff I was confident that my absessed tooth would be resolved and taken care of. 8 hours after procedure I am able to chew and eat in comfort. I did not have dental insurance and I paid out of pocket. I found this location to be very affordable. With the confidence that I have in the work that was performed it was actually a pleasure to write the check for what I was getting. Stanton explained the entire procedure and presented every option and kept me well informed regarding what he was doing. I felt at ease in the procedure chair and never imagined things going so smoothly. A tooth pillow relaxed my jaw and I was never gripping the arm rests in discomfort. A+++++ read more

Dr. Widmer was very nice to me, but the front counter has been coarse since day one. She might not like me because I am Hispanic in an office full of caucasian employees. I have been treated extremely rudely by Lee. Due to covid and the lack of work, I have been paying them as much as possible. Lee, the office manager, has not worked with me on any payment arrangement and the way she collects is savage. My procedure was a lot more than expected and what they quoted me. If I knew it would be a lot more, I would never have done the work. I recommend that all my Hispanic community think twice before you come here as you will be treated poorly by the front desk Manager Lee. My tooth still hurts, and I can not go back to get it corrected per office manager Lee and the discrimination I feel at this location! read more

I have a cracked tooth that has given me trouble for years now despite being fixed twice. I was ready to have it pulled and be done with it, and never be able to chew on my left side again. Dr. Widmer and his staff were very thorough and fully explanatory about my options. They did not lord over me with their professional opinions of what I should do, but instead took the time to empower me with the knowledge to make an educated decision. Coming from a person that mistrusts doctors in general, they earned my trust within minutes of talking to them. I opted to have a root canal performed and I am very satisfied that I made the right choice. From start to finish I felt at ease with the professionalism and know how that they displayed. I also must take my hat off to Dr. Widmer for having all the attributes of a great leader. The procedure was painless and not even that uncomfortable. I was very surprised after hearing many horror stories about root canals. Their equipment is cutting edge, yet they charged way less than I expected. That reminds me, they even went through the overall costs of each procedure with me, then stood back and gave me complete control over the decision with seemingly no indifference on their part. I am completely blown away by my experience. I only wish they could give seminars to other business owners on how they should conduct themselves. The world would be a better place. read more

Dr. Widmer provided excellent service for my eleven yr old daughter who was in need of a root canal. She had had an abcess and was seen by two other endontists who both wanted to give her two root canals. Dr. Widmer obviously looked closer and went above and beyond in suggesting we try giving her only one root canal since it was his feeling that the appearance of two infected teeth was just the infection of the one having spread over the other tooth in x-rays. He tested the teeth and only one tested dead whereas the other Endo tested them and found the two teeth to be dead (which I found very interesting). Thanks to Dr. Widmer my daughter only needed one root canal. Indeed he was completely correct in his suspicions about only one tooth needing the procedure, and the abscess that had been draining her infection has now, a few months later, entirely healed up. He could have gone for more money but instead he did what was genuinely best for my daughter and did so in a most caring, professional manner. To think if I hadn't gone to him for a third opinion we'd be out a lot more money and my daughter would have two dead teeth instead of just one, I am beyond grateful to have gone to Dr. Widmer. I heard about him through my dentist who told me he is the only endodontist in the treasure valley to have a state of the art machine that sterilizes the root canal pocket before it's filled. This was very important to me because I'd done research and learned that these root canal pockets are almost impossible to sterilize and can breed a constant supply of dangerous pathogens that get through into the bloodstream and over time destroy health. I would highly recommend Dr. Widmer to anyone needing a root canal. He is worth the drive to Caldwell and is a truly caring, trustworthy doctor and a true professional. It was a scary time for us but he put my daughter and I at ease and took great care of her. Beyond impressed. read more
