Our Cummins Onan whole house generator has broken down numerous times and is not reliable. Newmans will fix it but charges $130 an hour for drive time and service calls. They changed me over $700 in service hours to replace a $103 plug-in sensor. Then added on extras for rags, cleaners, etc... Just a rip-off!

FPL had a short in the main power line feeding our house. The result was several circuits to our appliances were dead. Rich, with his considerable expertise, was quickly able to diagnose the problem. A transformer in the transfer switch assembly was blown and it affected some of the load shedding units. Parts we're ordered and everything was fixed within a couple days. We also had an issue with the generator kicking in and running even when there was no power outage. The generator would run until manually turned off. This made it impractical to leave the generator in standby mode. Rich was able to fix this, too. As an added measure for peace of mind we installed Mobile Link, on Rich's recommendation, to keep us advised 24/7 on the status of the generator. Works perfectly. Our 11 year old backup generator works better than when it was new. We strongly recommend Star Generation for all your generator service, maintenance and installation needs.
