I first used Pro Tech during Covid when my refrigerator died. I found one refrigerator for over 2000 dollars in red. I just didn`t want a "programmable " refrigerator. I called Pro Tech and Brian had a new, white reasonable frig in my home the next day. My dishwasher died yesterday. Today, new one installed that will probably out last me. Thank you again Brian. UPDATE: Stackable dryer died 93 days after purchase which cost $500 to fix. Recently the washer hose busted however there was no model number for the washer portion (they are two separate units) in which to order a part as it had worn off plus none on the receipt. Whole unit was trash at that point as there was still only one cord for both feeding the washer cord into a box on the back of the dryer; I had no choice but to purchase a whole new laundry tower. Please understand this was a used unit! I get that! However when your business is appliances you should probably have a model number to refer to for this very reason! SMH ‍ Handle broke off the dishwasher months ago, thankfully it still works. Microwave going strong. I bought a new refrigerator and range last year as the others were seriously outdated. I would have much rather spent my money at a local small business I had established a relationship with. Sadly the customer service was so disappointing and the owner so dismissive I will tell anyone who is willing to listen to stay away from this business. read more

Purchased a used dryer that I am very pleased with. Recognizing a problem with the ice maker I spoke to P-T A's representative and picked up the solenoid for the ice maker of my refrigerator and ordered the flap/door for the ice maker. I left my phone number. I waited 2 weeks and did not hear a thing. Thinking/hoping that they misplaced my phone number I returned to the store and was told it had not come in.. Waiting an additional 4 weeks I returned to the store and they still did not have the part. Returning home I ordered the part online and will have it in 2 days. Rather than praising their work, I do not recommend shopping there because you cannot trust what they tell you. read more

If you need your dishwasher repair. Maybe you should buy yourself a new one or look for another company. I called on Friday morning to have someone to repair my dishwasher. The first available appointment avail was Tuesday. After they get my billing address and info. Never said anything else. I never had my dishwasher repair before so I had no clue. They showed up On Tuesday. I thought they would fix it there and then. They said no. They just diagnosed it and charged me 99.50 for. If I want to have it fix. It'll cost almost 150 for parts plus labor fee on top of 99.50 that they charged. What in the world Why I going to pay over 300 to fix an old dishwasher. If they told me they'll charge 99.50 to diagnosis it. I would have just bought a new one. They said if I want to buy the appliance from them. They'll credit some money back. What a scam. read more

WASHER REPAIR. REQUESTED A REPAIR AS WASHER HAD BEEN PROGRESSIVLEY MAKING NOICE AND NOT RUNNING WELL OVER THE LAST MOTH CULMINATING IN THE LID LOCKING SHUT. Repairman determained the cylinder for lid was the problem. Total bill was over $200.00 I ran the machine and the front fell off. I called Pro-Tek and they told me to call GE. GE said the machine required a service call. a comepting repair service informed me the transmission on the washer was shot! Another %00.00 plus 2 hours labor. I called Pro Tech. I provided extensive info. they wanted to know when the unit was bought. They wanted me to consult GE again. It appears they fixed the only half of the problem and did not address the real problem. either way, I gave them +$200. for a washer that won't run and still have to find a washer. No discount could be offerred. Ruined a loyal customer. read more

Called for a quote ... took time to listen and the husband went over to buy a icemaker but they wouldn't sell it and told us how to fix the one we have. Honest and knowledgeable. I bought a Whirlpool washer/dryer (still under warranty) from Pro Tech for a condo I own. After approx. 3 mo. of use, the washer showed an A 10 error. I rent this condo for the season, and the tenants now have no washer. Pro tech came to look at the unit previously about 3 weeks earlier and said it needed a new control panel. They called back 3-4 days later and scheduled an apt. to put the part in and never showed up. 5 days after that they called and said they were having a problem getting the part. After 3 weeks of waiting, I called back and was told their supplier was having difficulty finding the part and told ME to call Whirlpool. When I asked to speak to the owner that day, although cordial, he said he would call me back with a solution. After waiting several hours, I called to discuss this issue with him, and was informed by his receptionist that there was nothing they could do until Monday and that he was with a customer. The old the check is in the mail type response. They fail to back up their products. This unit cost $1600. And I would expect it to work, and if not, a new washer to replace it. Very disappointed Jim! Update: after having the new whirlpool washer and dryer hauled away and spending $1200. for a new GE unitized machine, the same drain problems still existed. When the GE service man came to look at the GE unit he said he has seen this problem thousands of times. This man had 35 years of GE and repair experience. The drain line was simply too long.....he shortened the drain line and went on his way. The new machine I spent $1200 for worked fine and I got rid of a perfectly good and new Whirpool set that cost me $1800. due to the stupidity and inexperienced service people at this appliance dealer. Use a company that cares about their customers, unlike this one. read more

A bit pricey for just an install but they were able to meet my timing and did a great job! Replied promptly to my request thru yelp. Installers were very nice, courteous and were knowledgable. No issues installing... it went quick. Arrived when promised. Cleaned up after themselves and hauled away all the packaging and old microwave. Good experience. read more
