I was in town for a bachelorette party. We had intended to go elsewhere but it was closed during the Memorial Day weekend. Wah wah. Alas, a member of our bachelorette party suggested Tre Rivali, and boy did it not disappoint. Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday (8 AM-2PM) We were seated right away. The ambiance inside felt posh and oozed charisma. But the menu pricing overall was very reasonable. Can't beat that! I ordered the Avocado Toast -- marinated cherry tomato, radish, fresh sourdough, basil, everything bagel seasoning with an egg. Delish. The perfect portion. I also savored a cup of La Colombe Coffee. (NEVER disappoints.) Additionally-- we shared the Artisanal Cheese & Charcuterie Board. So fresh and delightful! I am still dreaming of that mustard... as well as the fruit compotes, pickles, honeycomb and cheeses. Word to the wise. ORDER THE PANCAKES. So light and fluffy: a true Tre Rivali staple. The hotel attached to this restaurant hosts many NBA teams when they're in MKE. That is a fan favorite. (Allegedly some of them even take dozens to-go, back home.) Overall, the only low note was our waitress was a bit slow and not super knowledgeable. But-- I wouldn't hold it against the restaurant. It happens. Love coming here for brunch whenever we are in Milwaukee. We enjoy their omelettes, and find them super filling. I always get the mediterranean one and my friend gets the farmers omelette. Personally like my eggs a bit more cooked but still pretty high on the omelette ratings list. It's usually pretty busy but we came by on a saturday and had no issues getting a table. I finally tried out Tre Rivali during a girls' night and was impressed. The atmosphere is stunning - feels intimate yet airy somehow. The food is also delicious. I got the Dirty Za'atar Martini which was a fun and flavorful twist. We split a few different items: Focaccia, Whipped Farmer's Cheese, Hummus, Ricotta Dumplings, and Woodfired Branzino. The focaccia was dry and lackluster, but everything else was incredible. I particularly loved the Whipped Farmer's Cheese which was the perfect combo of sweet, salty, and savory. My only gripe? We got asked if we wanted more bread with our cheese. We were charged for the additional bread - and another $5 for "bread service." read more

If I could do brunch on a daily and spend my days outside on the patio with perfect weather I would enjoy eating food from Tre Rivali. It was my first time in this state and honestly, I'm glad we randomly found this spot by walking around in the city center. The seating was spread out and tables were spaced accordingly due to Covid. The wait staff here was super friendly and nice and honestly one of the tastiest brunch spots I've ever had. It was busy on a Sunday morning but we were able to get a table for five by waiting a few minutes for them to set up the table. You can eat inside and outside whichever you would like at the moment. Decided to pick the inside because during that time even though the sun was out it was still a little chilly. I ordered the salmon bagel and the presentation for this was super cute! It had a lot of different vegetables on the board with the bagel that was filled with a lot of salmon. Our table all ordered different items but each one enjoyed it. We came as group to try out this place and we really were not disappointed. We started with a couple of appetizers (Lamb Kafta and Meatballs) and that put us in a really good mood. We then moved to entrees: Campanelle, Spice Rubbed Half Chicken, Lamb Shoulder Tagine, and Hanger Steak. Overall the 4 entrees were fantastic but the weakest was definitely the chicken; not because it was bad but it was standard. The pasta was delicious, creamy, and full of mushrooms. The Tagine was nutty and full of bold flavors that i never experienced before and we truly enjoyed it. The steak was great but they needed to take it back to get it to the right temperature and that of course messed with the juiciness but it was still great. We ended the meal with 2 desserts: Tiramisu and Toffee. I'd definitely be getting the toffee again and again but probably not a huge fan of the Tiramisu. Our server was attentive and friendly. Started with cocktails up on the rooftop bar (The Outsider) as we were early for our reservation, which I would recommend to check out! Atmosphere at Tre Rivali is so warm and welcoming! Would be great for couples, friends, family or a big group too. Started with a G&T cocktail, which was delicious! The juniper berries gave it a fun flavor too. We tried the chicken liver mousse, which was really good with their grilled bread and the blackberry compote on the side. Super rich though, definitely plan to split with at least one other person! The star of the night was the cheese and charcuterie board!! 5 cheeses and 5 meats, the 3 of us could barely finish it! Accoutrements were amazing, and it's worth every penny. We did order entrees, which we could barely fi ish, but leftovers were good too! The pizza with grapes, Brie and pork belly was outstanding, the rosemary charred slightly in the oven which really made it perfect. Others at the table got the octopus which was cooked to perfection, and ended up being very light, so a nice option for an appetizer course to share too. Only downside was the service was a little slow- we asked for the check after waiting with empty plates for 15 min, took 5 min to get to go boxes, and then it took another 10 min to get the bill processed and taken care of. This place didn't pop up on any Yelp collections or "must visit" restaurant lists, but I think it was a delightful place and should get more attention. Here's my humble review - Food: I ordered the charcoaled beets, cacio e pepe, and raspberry gelato. The charcoal beets were so incredible and the dish was very well balanced! Refreshing and beautiful, 10/10 would eat again. The cacio e pepe was ok, nothing to drive home about but it was filling. Nothing too special. The gelato was delicious and a nice end to the meal. Over all the menu doesn't have a ton of vegetarian options (it looks like previous menus uploaded to Yelp had a larger variety). Ambiance: really beautiful place with ample outdoor seating. Service: Great, kind, and helpful staff. There was a bit of a wait but I it's likely just due to being short staffed. The servers were juggling a lot and I appreciated there service! In town for college graduation on May 19, 2024. This place was wonderful, from the delicious drinks (Wisconsin Old Fashion) to the entrees. Desserts were fabulous. We tasted each others entrees and they were all outstanding. But what was most awesome was the service. Our wait person was so helpful and informative and always there without being hovering. In fact, I haven't seen such great customer service anywhere as we did with this Journeyman Hotel and the restaurant within it. This wasn't our first pick in where to stay in Milwaukee but it will be from now on. Also they have a great rooftop bar that we need to visit again. It was packed! There were 4 types of cheeses, 5 types of charcuterie, and a variety of berries, honey, jam, mustard and pickles in the center. So delicious! For entree I ordered a carbonara pasta. Super yummy and I highly recommend trying. It's served with crispy pork belly and shaved egg yolk. The sauce is super creamy and the homemade pasta was cooked to perfection. My fiancé got the carrot gnocchi. I tried a bite and the gnocchi was very fluffy! A different texture than regular potato gnocchi. It was served with rabbit sausage (which I didn't try) but he said it was pretty good. A good choice if you're feeling a little more adventurous! For drinks we ordered an espresso martini and a blushing giulio. Both were delicious and had the perfect amount of alcohol to our tasting. The espresso martini is exactly what is sounds like, so for you coffee lovers out there, this would be an excellent choice. One of the best brunches I've ever experienced. Visited on Christmas Day (thanks to reservations my wife made) for brunch. The restaurant itself feels stylish, open and airy. The setup and design was clever and convenient for servers, but unobtrusive. Everything was clean, classy, and inviting. For drinks, the caramelized fig old fashioned was strong and the flavors intensified as you finished. The Bloody Mary was smooth, salty and had the right kick with the spices. Standouts; strange to start here, but the macaroons were perfect-soft and flavorful with smallest hint of crunch. The French toast bread pudding tasted like perfect comfort food. The avocado toast with radish slivers and EB seasoning was a surprise. The chocolate cake and cherry pastries were perfect. The basics were all very well done-salads crisp and fresh, yogurt station with fresh berries and granola, eggs, thick bacon, sausages, charcuterie board, and mashed potatoes were exactly what you'd expect from a high end buffet. The carving station features ham and beef, both cooked to perfection and the carvers really cared that you got the size and amount you wanted. With a buffet, I am mainly looking for clean and tastes I've never had before and Tre Rivale delivered. This was the first time I've ever understood why anyone goes nuts for macaroons. The servers were great, the whole staff welcoming and gave off an essence of "glad you are here"-even on a busy Christmas morning. What could be better: slight mixup with our drink order, immediately rectified. Apple options for the crepes, assisted lifts for some of the heavy cast iron lids. The two men working were certainly overwhelmed, hence the reason for a relatively long wait to place our drink order. I ordered 3 drinks, 2 of them were specialty for the special occasion. When I received the bill, I was shocked.... these drinks were priced like we were at a Las Vegas night club. I am not use to paying over $50 for 3 drinks, none of which were doubles or talls. Such flavorful food! I love how it's a great Mediterranean-American fusion place! Milwaukee has many awesome eating joints, but a few rare fusion destinations - this is one! I have been wanting to try Tre for a long long time and finally got to try it out this weekend. Me and my husband tried the lamb burger which had tahini sauce and cucumber (essentially a "cool" burger) and was delicious. I like how they used micro-greens to not only decorate your food but also add flavor! They have an extensive drinks menu with great cocktails and other liquors. I wanted to get a Mezcal cocktail but since they didn't have a specific cocktail with mezcal they made me a custom one with a bit of lime and strawberry which become a nice smoky little drink! We sat outside since it was a lovely day to enjoy some sun (winter is coming!!!!). Though we loved their outdoor ambience, the indoors looked really good too but that's for another time!
