That defect led to significant excess oil usage, including two large deliveries in a short period. Once the issue was fixed, consumption dropped immediately, so the cause was obvious. I requested a conservative $200 credit to partially offset the excess fuel cost. They offered $50 and then ignored multiple follow-ups over several weeks, ultimately repeating the same offer without addressing the issue. The installation mistake is one thing -- the lack of accountability and refusal to resolve it properly is the real problem. Would not recommend.

I have been with slomin's for years,…read moreduring this Januarys cold weather I was running of oil even though I have automatic delivery I had to give them a call they said I couldn't get a delivery in less than 5 days, I would have run out so I had to call someone else that's ridiculous. Second story I needed a burner replacement called a few people about some estimates.Slomin's was my choice because they took care of the permits and everything, they arrived with a full crew and dismantled my old burner and replaced with the new burner in a day. The crew was excellent in explaining there every move and when they left the place looked like they were never there, spotless. I would definitely recommend there installation crew but their oil service emergency delivery leaves a lot to be desired.

We have been getting oil from them for years and never had an issue. Called their emergency service number this morning between 6-7am and besides the fact that there was no answer for 25 minutes and kept getting disconnected. When we finally got someone to answer an extremely RUDE woman answered the phone. We needed service for the boiler ASAP because we have a 4 month old in the house and the response we got was they are only going out for contracts. So when we asked if there is anyone else they could recommend to help she responses with "yea I don't know what to tell you, you'll have to figure it out yourself" then hung up on us. You don't want take the service call because we're not under contract, fine but here is no reason to be rude and unhelpful to your loyal customers when we are asking for help. We have small children in the house, we needed your service. It shows the Caliber of people that company is willing to hire. I will make sure to go out of my way to tell people to never use bay fuel and to find their oil services elsewhere. If I could give you a zero star, I would . IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER. THEN MAYBE TEACH YOUR EMPLOYEES SOME BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND DON'T HAVE A 24/7 EMERGENCY NUMBER IF IT IS ONLY FOR SPECIFIC CUSTOMERS. Petro was professional, quick and courteous for all of our interactions for many months, although I feel they talked me out of needing any service check ups when I felt my system needed it. And, I was never charged a penny less than the maximum, which didn't seem right. Before my year's contract was up, I talked to Petro about renwal, and I was quoted a rate I felt was not competitive or reflective of actual prices, and was told the service contract rate was increasing significantly. THEN they topped off my tank, just two days before my contract was up. At that point I asked them to put a hold on everything and to charge me the remaining balance on my account, settle up completely and not renew my contract. I was told no problem, the contract wouldn't be renewed. Instead, my auto pay was doubled. I only found out a MONTH later when my checking account was charged. Then a bill came for the new service contract I never agreed to on top of that. They told me this would be fixed, no problem. ANOTHER month later, I was debited the monthly charge again. This time they told me it was MY fault for not turning off Auto pay on my account, which I had already felt was closed/stopped twice in two months. At this point I asked to close the entire account, I want all my money back, I never agreed to renew in the first place. For days their customer retention team called me, repeatedly, with new offers and discounts, after I had already asked to close the account. Sadly, they STILL didn't offer a competitive price, and kept telling me their direct competition was out to cheat me, which is obviously a lie. I demanded my refund again, still confused why it hadn't already been processed. 3 weeks and the refund has STILL not arrived. I was just told it would be ANOTHER 2-3 weeks because they just "approved" it. Why do I have to wait months to get the money refunded that shouldn't have been charged in the first place? I don't think I would ever do business with these guys again.

I was a terrific customer, paying my bills automatically…read more Apparently that wasn't enough for them; they took advantage of this "little old lady" who runs her own business! When I found out last winter that because of the precipitous drop in oil I was overpaying my fixed account by over $1.00 a gallon I was very angry that they didn't give me any consideration. Even with the cancellation payment I would have saved over a thousand dollars had they told me I was paying way too much! Long story short, Ellen called me 4 times this summer with 4 different offers.We spoke each time. The last time we spoke I told her I had signed with another company. She asked me if it was more than a few days before because she could have me cancel with them; I told her yes and I had no desire to cancel with them and I did not want to do business with Morania any more. Today they tried to deliver oil to me at $3.099/gallon! Only because the new company placed their sticker on my oil tank cap did the driver knock on my door. Only because I was home was I able to stop the delivery! I called Morania and spoke with Nancy who said there was NOTHING IN THE RECORD THAT SHOWED I CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT! Ellen's notes merely said she had called and left messages about pricing! Not only did they rip me off but they were trying to continue by sending out a delivery at a price that is still almost a dollar/gallon more than my new contract and most contracts. They were trying to sneak in an extra delivery at an inflated price! Nancy assured me they no longer have my credit card on file. I asked the driver for the ticket and I made a copy of it; it says -0- gallons were delivered. Apparently they were bought out by General (I even saw the picture of the little guy on the truck) last year. I would be very wary of doing business with them as well since they now seem to be running the show.
