Great place! Cold Brew was delicious and breakfast sandwich was awesome!!! Service was both friendly and efficient. Ambiance is perfect. Prices are reasonable. Would not find it difficult to come back here...

Fantastic coffee shop in a cute spot! So glad we stopped by while driving through town. The place is small and was very busy but the line moved fast. The baristas were nice and knowledgeable. My husband got an iced maple latte half sweet and I got an iced s'mores latte. Both were smooth and tasty!

Off the porch...

Cute riverfront businesses, apparently not the main riverfront, but really cool. This coffee shop doesn't stand out from the street, but that's ok. Makes it more of a gem. Walking in, the vibe is good, great ambiance, friendly staff. The coffee menu is perfect and varied. Everyone liking coffee will find something they'll like. Online I didn't see they had matcha, but they do. They also have POUR OVER. My pour over was an Ethiopian single origin. They also had a Colombian. I was looking for a pour over somewhere in town but didn't find mentions on Yelp! Hopefully now it'll show up in the search. While it wasn't as good as a pour over I had in Portland, it was very good this one was done with a Chemex method. I prefer Hario. But this is not a negative for this place. This was tasty coffee. My wife enjoyed her half caf latte. She said it had a stronger coffee flavor than other places, which can be tempered with a little more milk that I'm sure they would add without problem. Sitting out on the deck... overlooking the River... drinking a coffee... I could easily forget I don't live here.

Such a cozy ambiance and plenty of seating! There is a back porch area for a beautiful view of the water! I can only imagine what that's like in the summer.

I've always wanted to drink a pumpkin pie in my coffee and they've managed to conjure up that exact flavor with their house made pumpkin spice syrup. Not too sweet and a mouthful of autumn-y flavor. Plus, the place is cozy and welcoming and the owner is warm and friendly.

After an early morning training I decided I needed caffeine, I picked the #1 on Yelp in the Augusta/Hallowell area and drove. I was greeted by a lovely barista who made me an absolutely incredible latte! The interior was clean and calm with socially-distanced tables for a limited amount of people to sit at. Overall a pleasant, and quick, experience!

Love this place! I came with a friend and was not planning on getting anything but Kyle's service (and drink options) convinced me to support their business. Kyle was very friendly, informative, and obviously loves what he does. He wanted to know my name so next time I come he could greet me by name. The coffee shop has indoor seating with multiple tables. Several people were in there working. They have a deck overlooking the river. We took our drinks down to the public park and enjoyed them along the river. I had the seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte which was absolutely delicious. Traverse makes their own pumpkin spice mix for the drink. I'm not usually a fan of pumpkin spice drinks but this was fantastic and I will definitely come back for another. My friend had the Apple Chaider which she also enjoyed. Traverse's other seasonal option is a Maple Cinnamon Latte. Considering how much we enjoyed the first two I would expect the maple cinnamon to be just as good.

Traverse makes delicious coffees and teas and is a great addition to downtown Hallowell. A cozy spot to chillax with a tasty beverage, this place is sure to be a hit with locals and summer tourists as well. Lots to choose from on the menu (separated into 'coffee' and 'not coffee') and the owners are really nice people, too. I enjoyed the music and the atmosphere in general. I'll definitely be back to try another specialty coffee soon!

The cappuccino was delicious and beautiful. The service was fast and friendly. The decor and atmosphere is very homey and not corporate. My second visit I had to try the Mexican Cocoa which is DELICIOUS! Love this place!

Got a good latte and picked up some whole bean coffee. Didn't love the beans we left with, but enjoyed our drinks.

Friendly, warm, and welcoming...and a scrumptious PSL with delicious store-made syrup. So glad we took the scenic route through Hallowell!

Still one of our favorite spots. They just opened an expansion that offers more seating... even…read moremore greatness! They did an incredible job maintaining the historicalness of the area with the expansion and added seating that stays with their rustic, plant-loving vibe. As always, the food was delicious, exactly as expected. I always get French toast because it is THE best!

Oh what a place!! I love this little spot (emphasis on LITTLE). This is not a traditional diner -…read moreit's much more like an upgraded coffee shop. You walk in to this gorgeous space, step right up to the counter, and order all the goodies you could possibly want. The drink menu is vast - so many fun coffee beverages for the adventurous, and non-coffee options for everyone else. But if you want to keep it simple, their serve-yourself drip coffee is delightful, and there's plenty of flavors to keep it interesting (peppermint white mocha drip coffee, what??) Ok so you get your bevvie and you work very hard to find a cozy little nook to sit down - maybe someone is waiting for a to go order and gives up their seat for you? It's Gardiner, people are kind! You sit and wait and take in the surroundings - it's almost like you're in a greenhouse, with potted plants everywhere you look and dried flowers hanging from the ceiling. Then your little buzzer goes off and you go get your own food directly from the kitchen - no server/expo/restaurant experience required! Score your own hot sauce, silverware, and other condiments along the way. And dig in! The food is amazing! It's all stuff you've seen on a brunch menu before - French toast, eggs Benedicts, sandwiches - but it's got that extra flair. French toast with lemon curd and raspberries. Corned beef Reuben, but baked in Filo pastry instead of bread. A breakfast scramble with a spicy Korean twist. It's all fun and different and GOOD. You'll be too full, but stop at the counter on the way out the door and snag a fresh croissant or pastry for later. You'll thank me. I would love for this place to be full-service... But I think that might change the whole vibe. There's something cozy about the do-it-yourself aspect. And everything else about Bintliff's is delightful. We can't wait to return.
