Hidden gem away from the main Ponte Ave hip area. We sat inside and it was very warm ( we were sweating while eating) but there were people smoking on the small front patio so we opted for indoor seating. Our waiter came over right away and took our order. We started with the bruschetta plate which had 4 different spreads. There was an olive one, a meat one, a traditional one, and a pickled onion one which we decided was both our favorite. My boyfriend got the Florentine steak (that's what this restaurant is known for) and I got the sea bass which seemed like it was actually trout. My boyfriend said it was the best steak he's ever had and my sea bass was delicious. This place was a lot more traditional and less touristy than most of the places around there. On our way out our waiter offered us an Amaro shot and took one with us. He explained it was the traditional after dinner drink in Italy. If we are ever back in Florence we will be back.

Near Ponte Vecchio, but off the beaten path, this place offers a delightful lunch. Homemade bread right out of the oven with a beautiful olive oil and an aged vinegar before you even order, this hidden gem pleases the palate. Locals eat here which says it all. From appetizers to specials to decadent desserts, this place is worth finding.

Lunch menu advertised for 9 EUR that we shared and 1 big natural water cost us 24.50 EUR! Such a rip-off! Tastes nothing special!

Was recommended to us, service was OK....food was good, not wow, just good and prices we're very fair in my opinion, good solid hidden spot

Nice classic Italian restaurant! Lunch is fixed menu, so if you wanna enjoy the traditional Italian steak, must visit this restaurant for a dinner. Reasonable price and authentic pasta and T-bone steak!

I loved this place so much I wanted to go back. The staff was very professional - I watched them chop up T-bone steak and debone a whole fish in front of everyone, it was the most beautiful serving techniques I've ever seen. For such a gourmet feeling restaurant, their prices were fine. The flavors of the food we for were delicious. They told us to go look at the desserts instead of handing us a menu... And my god. I could live at that place. Everything is home made and unique.

Fiorentina steak! Weighed after cut and brought out to confirm with the customer, then perfectly grilled to a medium.

The food here was amazing!! We ordered a fiorentina steak, spaghetti with lobster and tomato, and spaghetti with clams. The price for value was really good (ours were between €10 and €15), and we really enjoyed our meals. Desert was also really great, they had a wonderful selection of freshly made cakes and pies. The wait staff were very friendly and smiley, except this one who looked kind of mad the whole time and didn't really speak English. We would definitely come back again!

Can accommodate large groups. Excellent florentine steak, always rare, smoky, and well seasoned. Friendly staff. Worth your money.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

Waiter was super friendly, taking time to explain their wines in detail and food options. They even have a kids menu with sizeable portions for older kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and it was definitely the best wine we had with meals in Florence. Gnocchi and wild boar taglietelle were outstanding. Had we had come earlier in our stay we might have come back again They also do a wine window which I wish I'd known about earlier because the other one we tried for fun was not good

This review is long overdue for our visit back in November of 2024. I was looking up Nduja recipe…read moreand reminded myself this was the place that initiated my love for Nduja sauce. American/Aussie owned bakery brunch spot by the river, such a cute little eatery. We loved our visit and though it's definitely more of a touristy spot, as most customers spoke English, the food was delicious to forgo the tourist trappy vibes. We shared a plate and added some items as we didn't want to get too stuffed on our first day of Florence. We had the Nduja Eggs plate with bacon and avocado added. Nduja is a spicy Calabrian pepper spreadable pork sauce, and oh boy was it so flavorful. If I remembered correctly, Melaleuca spread this sauce on top of a fried bread and eggs. I don't see it on the menu at the moment and it's probably a rotatable dish... but it definitely kicked started my hunt for the sauce. Since this is a spreadable pork, it's not something I could bring back to the US but I was able to find it online back home. The service was amazing and the beverages were delicious. Like many Italian places, the dining room is small and bathroom is a single small room that might require a small wait if they're busy. Didn't get to try their baked goods this last time, but definitely on our list to go back for more when we're back to Florence for a visit.
