Hmm, they say when its too good to be true...
Got a quote for a parcel to Ghana, got a pickup on time, got an email the next day adding 1/3rd of the original cost to the new and improved invoice for additional volumetric weight due to incorrect dimensions. Incorrect by 7cm in some places, and mind you, I measured with a tape measure.
Called up to complain, and of course, I required graphic evidence to disprove the measurements by DHL. They dont tell you that before you book, and they don't give you a choice to have your goods returned or agree to extra charges.
A bit of courtesy please, measure at the point of pickup and do not give cause for doubt or dispute. Everyone wants a pleasant experience sending goods abroad, never mind the import duty dilemma at the other end of the delivery. read more
