I asked when the box will reach the destination, the person said Monday/Tuesday. It all sounded suitable, so I fulfilled the form with all the details and paid with credit card for packing and sending it (packing= 10£ sending = 40£) very satisfied in term of pricing. Later on during the week (Wednesday), an email was sent to me with the detail of the shipment and the address was incorrect (the wrong house number) and the email was meant to be sent to the receiver.I contacted Mail Boxes ETC by phone, they checked my address and they assured me that the box will arrive home. Apparently the mistake was only in the email sent content. I also informed him that I was told it will reach the destination by Monday or Tuesday, the person replied it was an approximation and no promises were given. After my experience with Mail Boxes ETC considering the price I would say this company is a good alternative. In term of customer service they were friendly, warm and quite casual yet I would rate it average mainly because they expected me to know about the verity of services Mail Boxes ETC offer and decide on my own. If you are lazy ( like me) and know nothing nor bothered to know much :D with a desperate desire of having your parcel packed and sent while paying a bit more for extra peace of mind in this case, maybe Mail Boxes ETC is not the best option. Initially the person I dealt with seemed to at least know what they were doing, despite telling me I would have to wait at least two weeks to even get my items picked up and they wouldn't send it the method I preferred. Then someone else takes over, and she doesn't seem to care or have a clue about what has been agreed to. Despite endless emails and having to call overseas multiple times, she still managed to ship my package TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, using the WRONG COURIER. I caught this the same day I finally got tracking after demanding it...and had to call again. No apology, not interested in fixing things - she had the nerve/silliness to tell me she was sure my package would still reach me. Yeah, packages that are not addressed correctly just somehow know where to be delivered...right. This, after paying a hefty price and now waiting close to three weeks and having to be on them to get things done. Unbelievable. I have my doubts my package will arrive at all, given she didn't care to make this right and the manager wasn't in. Perhaps my UK attorney reaching out will get something done. To be honest, up until recently I went with the first option as couriers were just too much for the budget to handle on a regular basis. So City Couriers was a welcome surprise. This place charges 1/2 the price of any other local courier. Before finding them, ONE cross town trip would cost me £20 - £25, whereas TWO deliveries through City Couriers, going to New Town and Leith from Stockbridge came to £20 in total. I also appreciate the fact that they offer exclusive hire hours for a reasonable rate (bike starts at £12/hr; van is £20/hr) - I've done a few remote events and hand delivered 40+ packages in a taxi, so this is a godsend. The cons? I booked the service at 10am and asked for a pick up no later than 4pm. They made it in time but it was down to the wire and when I phoned to confirm that they were indeed on their way, was told that one of the boxes might have to be delivered first thing in the morning. There's also no way to track this without calling them directly. As the deliveries were slightly time sensitive, it's a fact that I would have like to known earlier and one I've made note of for the future. Next time, I'll request an earlier pick up and hope that solves the problem... because yes, there will indeed be a next time - delays aside, this was a welcome find.

It is slick and professional-looking, which helps to add to the credibility of the company. I couldn't fault the job they did for me, and have given them a rating of 3 stars.
