(With the exception of the young girl and lady who work the front desk)I hated the color at a previous salon so I went for a polish change, paid in full for that, tipped, called immediately afterwards to tell them I'd be back to have the tips fixed they said no problem. I came back 3 days later showed them why I was unhappy and they said they would fix them then asked me to not return. Again, after I paid for the entire service 3 days ago, with tip. I am so disappointed. I went in for a pedicure with my friend. The woman who did mine didn't scrub my feet or massage them, and when I spoke to the person in charge, she said the woman said I was lying, that she had done it. She didn't comp my pedicure or reduce the cost, just said she'd make sure I got someone else when I came back. Well, I won't be going back. They had me sitting in the front for 30, then brought me back. When I asked how much longer they said 10 minutes. I then waited another 20. I could have been sitting there soaking off my previous color but then had to delay how long my nails would take by the tech having to do it when she finally got to me. I saw a manicured name, Christina. She refused to apply the color I requested because it required two different coats of polish. She tried to convince me to do different type of manicure than what I wanted. Was on her phone every five seconds instead of doing the work of my manicure. And then did a poor job of my manicure by applying the color to thinly so that it was translucent. And said it was the fault of color is dark purple so unlikely. Extremely overpriced ($25 cash/ $27 credit card for a basic manicure without polish; I was in the chair for less than 5 minutes while the tech cut my cuticles as I did not have my nails cut, filed or polished), they do not display the regular polish and state the gel polish matches the regular polishes although they do not and it was very difficult to find a color, it was very obvious the technicians were talking about the customers, and they made a very rude remark when questioning the price. read more

Never come here! They are the absolute rudest individuals to their customers and the owner should be appalled by the way their business is run and if they are aware it should be shut down. I went in for a regular manicure. After being harassed to try gel they finally just did the regular manicure. All was fine at that appointment. After I left the nail salon, I went to dinner and then went home and went to bed. I wake up the next morning and the polish is chipped and missing on some nail. This has never happened to me before. I called them in the afternoon to see if I could come to get it fixed. They said yes but said I didn't need an appointment and to "just come in", so I did that. I walked in and they told me that it was policy for the original tech to fix my nails, which was also fine. I was told it would be a half an hour, again fine with me. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes I ask how much longer it would be as I would just come back the next day. I was then SCREAMED at by the receptionist that I was being rude and impatient and was told "this is what you old people do, you are impatient". I literally just asked how much longer I'd have to wait as it was almost triple the wait time that I was told. She continued to yell at me in front of the other customers and continued to call me old. When I finally was taken back to get them fixed my tech apologized for how I was treated, yet the same lady was HOVERING over us while he fixed my nails once again yelling at me that I could only get the same color I got the day before, which is what I wanted so I don't know why she felt the need to yell at me some more. She paced back and forth the entire time I was having my nails repainted and I asked to have my nails dried at the chair as I did not feel comfortable going up front by the receptionist. She then proceeded to come back and yell at me again that I was not supposed to dry my nails at the chair. The entire time I was getting my nails fixed the entire staff was talking about me and pointing at me like I was the one in the wrong. I will never come back. I have never been treated so poorly by a business for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Maybe she didn't like hearing that they gave a poor quality service. That's not my fault. The icing on the cake was that they once again chipped off by the next morning. Don't waste your money on these people. There are much better salons in Kingston that won't berate their customers for wanting quality service at an overpriced terrible salon. read more

First time here. Walked in for mani pedi after seeing their menu online when looking for a place to go; I'm not from the area. Signed in as I was asked and went to pick a color. They have numbered boxes with the swatches in them. I get very overwhelmed with all the colors. I recommend taking a picture of the box/color on your phone to show the technician who may or may not speak English well. I waited over a half hour. No big deal, I was a walk in. People were coming in with appointments. The place is very nice, cozy. I sat and waited on one of the comfy couches. They have a guy who is like the engineer who tells people where to go and what to do, and the receptionist answering the phone is American. After a while the guy comes over and says, what are you here for. I told him mani pedi, and that I had already signed in. He said show me, and I pointed to my name. He said ohhhh, I have been looking for you....well, I have been sitting here for a half hour on your couch. He takes me to a pedicure chair and sets me up. Water is nice, changes color, but no plastic liner in the sinks. I sat for another 20 mins waiting for someone to come. I watched the other technician giving the pedicures. Some of them you can tell they are good. While I sat there, the engineer escorted couple of people in telling them that he had been looking for them as well. I said to the lady next to me that I think I am noticing a pattern. This guy can't keep track of his clients. Ok whatever. The girl next to me was also frustrated that the technician didn't understand, with people translating and with pictures shown to her on a phone, the firework's design she wanted. She told the woman she wasn't crazy about the job she did and left unsatisfied. When a technician finally came to help me, I just got the vibe she didn't know what she was doing. She didn't understand the number/color I told her I wanted, and I explained which box it was in. They didn't file my calluses. They pulled instruments out of a sterilization bag, but I couldn't see if it had actually been sterilized - I have been to places where they try to fool you into thinking they sterilize their instruments when they don't. I also watched them spray an unknown substance in the sink and swish it around a couple of times with a toilet brush to clean it for the next person. My nails look fine enough. She took me to the mani station. I asked her if they had a nail strengthener because my nails were thin and weak from a previous gel manicure. Next thing I know I as being whisked off to another table to have someone else take care of me because she had no idea what I was saying. The lady who helped me spoke English well. She was gentle with my nails, and did a fine job, rushed, but fine. There was no moisturizer cream applied. I hate feeling rushed. I come for the whole experience and for some pampering. Rushing the client out is not pampering, especially when they charge for it, and for how long I sat and waited. As others have mentioned, they up-charge you to use a credit card - it is posted. They have an ATM which also charges you an up-charge to use it. It was an okay experience. Not the worst, not the best. Not as clean in terms of the sinks and instruments as I would have liked. read more

When I left the shop and saw my feet out in the light I went back on and asked if this is how they thought a fresh manicure with an extra 10 minute massage should look. I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about! I'm up in Kingston for the weekend and decided to get a spa pedicure. I was welcomed as soon as I entered. Though it was early Saturday afternoon I was able to get in right then and there. I chose the sea salt pedicure which was $55. I had gel polish on my toes for which they charged an extra $4 ( which I thought was weird) then an additional $20 for the gel. Kevin was my nail specialist and he did a great job. The message and pedicure were excellent. Other than the cost and the slightly off kilter receptionist it was a good experience. (Just FYI I get a spa pedicure at least once per month so I know the good from the bad.) read more

The ambiance is great and it's quite clean and professional in appearance. However, I left very dissatisfied. There was a black bubble in my mail that had to be redone, as well as a chip in my nail after it was filed and completed. I had to get that chip redone after I already left and paid. There is gel residue all over the perimeter of my fingers where my nails were done and my cuticles look dry and uneven. Side note, a debit/credit card charge is $4 for the transaction, so bring cash if you would like to avoid an additional fee. Overall, I probably should have waiting to go to my regular place as opposed to going here. I got a very simple gel polish with just one color, this could have been done better for less elsewhere and i HAVE had it done better else where. read more

I just moved here and was hopeful to try out this nail place. When I had my pedicure, they had used used nail tools and foam flip flops despite pulling out sealed sterile tools and new flip flops. The nail polish on my toes smudged because it was put on too thick. I had a gel manicure which seemed a bit messy and then had my eyebrows waxed. I received a manicure on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday night I noticed that the nail polish was wearing off at the tips. This place is right next to Burlington in a little plaza, not at the mall. I went for ANC, the placed seemed nice and professional at first until a male with large glasses there started the process of doing my nails. I had to ask for my cuticles (which were in bad shape) to be groomed. He was using the electric buffer to push my cuticles down and was making them look even worse. When shaping my nails (which I like square with a round edge), he made all of the ends of my nails slanted...literally slanted like a slope, my nails were cut very unevenly in length as well (some long and some short). When I politely asked the guy to reshape ALL ten fingers because my nails were all oddly shaped at the edges, slanted and uneven, he started to man handle my hands and became VERY rude and rough with me! Roughly throwing my hands aside after he was done with each one. After dipping my fingers in the ANC powder, in order to knock off excess powder, he would flick me very hard directly on my knuckles of each finger he was working on as if to intentionally hurt me. If you ask nicely for tweaks to be done to your nails so that they look how you want them to look in order to be happy with them, which you are paying for, you should not receive the type of attitude and treatment I did at this place! I will NEVER go back to this place, not even to give another person a chance. read more

Went here to get my wedding ANC/Pedi. Everything seemed fine and they looked good but I thought it was odd they used clear gel that had to be cured on top of ANC instead of the usual stuff. Low an behold while out of town for wedding 3 days later and day before, the gel top started peeling off. If this is the salon next to Burlington here is my review: The girl that did my pedicure did a very good job, the woman that did my nails did not. I noticed s large gap where the acrylic fill was done. She yanked on my hands (I have some arthritis,) which I advised her but she kept doing it. It was not a relaxing experience at all. She also kept accidentally filing my cuticles which caused bleeding. She also wasn't very nice and very pushy at selling additional services which I declined. I usually pay about 50.00 for the services I got and this place charged me 68.00!! Nothing special was done. I'm debating whether I should go back and have them fix what was poorly done or just chalk it up to a loss, and go somewhere else and avoid the aggravation and probably additional torture. Needless to say, I will never go back to this salon nor recommend it to anyone. If they had at least done s good job, I wouldn't be so upset and feeling ripped off. I went Friday to get a fill in, a pedicure,and eyebrows. Was therefore well over 2 hours. Next day one of my nails broke while I was getting clothes out of the closet. I went back Sunday to repair it. The lady approached me and said "what did you do? Our products don't do that...you did that. I had a gel manicure done here. Within the first 24 hours I realized the poor job they had done. Two of my fingers were not dried properly or the paint was layered on too thick. One finger nail chipped off within in 12 hours - not so that you can see the bare nail but just the top couple of layers. Another finger has a bubble that formed which appears to be what will cause more strange chipping of only a couple layers. The clear and colored paint is also on my skin in a few places. Long story short, I broke a nail off opening my car door... I usually travel 45 minutes south to Poughkeepsie for nails. Decided on Tranquil nails as the salon is 5 minutes from home, I was a little surprised when greeted with an 8 year old child? She asked what I wanted ? I broke my nail and would like a fill and nail replaced, plus French manicure .I was asked to sit and wait. After 15 minutes moved to a tech that I'd assumed was told what I needed done. My broken nail was replaced with a new nail :) and other nails filled 34 dollars later replaced nail looked nothing like 9 other nails!! When I asked where is the French manicure? I rarely give negative reviews on line and thought long and hard about doing it now. But I want people to avoid the experience I had, especially since there are better salons in the area. This salon is not only dirty (I had to ask twice for a sealed kit) but the staff is completely uninterested in serving customers. My manicure was interrupted several times by the technician screaming at her co-workers and disappearing for long periods of time. She did not clean up polish that had ended up beyond my cuticles (did that myself when I got home) and I had to refile some nails because they were so uneven. I have NEVER in my life left a salon without tipping, but I did so today. Avoid this place. read more

Worst mani pedi experience here this morning. The man was so clearly annoyed and wanted to be anywhere else doing anything else. Listen I get it. Your touching feet. My least favorite body part. But don't intentionally inflict pain! He was so rough and seemed to want to get it over as fast as possible with minimum attention. He used the foot pumice on my big toe joint which really hurt. He scrapped the gel polish off my fingers so roughly several times I pulled by hand away and still didn't get all the old polish off. The gel is uneven and bubbly and I know it won't be long before it peels. And he clipped my cuticles that didn't need clipping at all. this has always been my favorite nail salon, but recently it seems to have been going downhill. the nail techs are a hit or miss; some are too rough, my tips are crooked or they begin to break within a week, while some are perfect. i feel like this is an issue within every nail salon, so that's not my biggest issue. they offer soooo many colors for everything (regular polish, gel, anc, etc) but i always get anc. unfortunately they don't always have the colors that they have on display, and they don't tell you until they've started your nails. this is pretty frustrating. also, they aren't always transparent about their prices. i went to get tips with my best friend. my total came to $40 for a full set of anc and tips along with an extra $5 for them to take off my old set. they charged my best friend $43 for some reason. despite all this, this nail salon is still one of my go to's. their waiting area is super comfy btw :) read more

This is for the shop in the Burlington Coat Factory/Staples plaza. A friend has her waxing done here regularly, so, despite the poor reviews -- which are almost entirely regarding nail services -- I decided to give them a try. The woman who gave me my bikini wax was sweet and considerate, checking with me frequently during it (given that it's an uncomfortable process). I wish I'd gotten her name.
