The young gal provided me with a warm water bath for my right hand while she buffed my left and vice versa. My natural nails looked a wee bit better afterwards- but honestly though, it wasn't all that. And when she started 'cutting', she barely cut. We both got regular pedicures and gel manicures. We were in and out in an hour! Felt like we were being hurried out as they wanted to close. Conflicting websites with different closing times 6pm or 7pm. My friends gel manicure started chipping after 4-5 days. Becky was able to effortlessly and patiently remove the fake nails with far less damage to my actual nail than I ever could have managed. Terrific service and pleasant conversation... so much so, I will consider my next perhaps for the holidays! Rebecca and her daughter are hilarious--I went for a pedicure and didn't open my book because they kept me in stitches with stories about Red Hook and other things. There's free parking behind the shop, which is a bit hidden down an alley, and Rebecca has a GREAT selection of polishes. I am so happy to have found this place. Just know that there is only room for one customer at a time; not a place where you can go and hang with three friends getting mani/pedis at the same time.
