A soothing oasis This was our second time in Kingston and each visit we treated ourselves to a massage at Birch. Located on a side street in the historic stockade district, the exterior will fool you. Once inside you immediately sense that this place is serious about serenity. With birch wood walls, soothing fountains, Himalayan salt lamps and the calming aromatherapy smells. The rooms are dark, plush and calming. Their therapists are all very skilled and both my wife and I felt they offer some of the best massages around. read more

Love Birch Spa. Had the Birch Express facial with Ali. Quiet atmosphere. The woman at the front desk was so kind and seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Comfortable waiting area with water and tea. Ali created a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. My skin feels so soft, the moisturizer she used smelled lovely. read more

I got this as a surprise gift for a friend, but in the end they couldn't take it. I received a 60 minute massage from Catlin, my gosh, she was incredible. Her technique was slow and deep but with care, it felt like someone who wasn't in a rush, and was mindfully trying to make you feel good. Careful to give you just enough pressure, but not too much to cause pain. I live in the city, but I would come back to see her! Catlin I'm so grateful, I had no idea I needed this! read more

I have been here multiple times for massages with Calin and my goodness she was amazing. She was never in a rush and created a quiet, calming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel relaxed. My first visit was last minute and they were able to fit me right in. I won't go anywhere else for massages now. Highly recommend. read more

So thankful we have Birch Body care. Eric is the best for massages, he is very intuitive and finds the areas that need extra care, healing and rejuvenating one massage at a time! read more

The chair massage I get at the mall for half the time is better than the hour I got here. I won't use this place again. I guess if someone wants to feel fancy and pampered, then go but if you want a good massage, go elsewhere. Not impressed. read more

Lovely staff. Always great service. Incredibly relaxing. I have always had a really good experience here.

I traveled to Kingston for a weekend getaway with my dear friend and we decided to incorporate some massages to our girls weekend. We were both booked with Audrey. She gave a WONDERFUL massage and she was sooo sweet and kind and funny! read more

This place is alright, I would def spend more money to go to a spa such as the emerson or mohonk. I spent the same amount of money for an hour massage without the "spa" experience. The most you get is a birch wood setting in the front office. You go down a dark hallway to a room that doesn't really look like a "relaxation" room. I didn't have any music playing during my massage so it made me a little anxious. I wouldn't waste my money here again.... They could live up to the name of the "spa" term they call themselves as well. At least some spa music, not dead silence. read more

Had the best massage session with Jen V. I left feeling so relaxed and satisfied. She's very intuitive and really listened to my requests. I highly recommend booking with Jen. Although she only works Tuesdays . I will say, I haven't had a disappointing massage or facial at Birch- the owner hires the best of the best! So anyone that is available would be great. read more

Ben at Birch Body Care is one of the best masseuses I've ever experience -- respectful, intuitive, firm and gentle, as needed. The spa is very attractive and the staff are friendly. Plus they have great products on sale! Thoroughly recommended. read more

Very nice spa. Had a couples massage with my wife and we loved it. Jen and Karen took great care of us. Can't wait to to go back for another one! read more

Rachel was absolutely amazing. I had the most relaxing facial ever + scalp massage + paraffin

I've been looking for a good facial place for a while now. This happened to be close to work and had good reviews. I loved it. Rachel is awesome! Makes you feel super comfortable. I normally start to shrink into myself with the massage but she's so good at it and makes you feel at ease. Really took her time with my skin and specific needs . Also gave me very helpful advice on products and such. Will definitely be going back to her - don't know why I couldn't find her sooner read more

Last minute appointment when I happened to be in town and had one of the best massages of my LIFE. Make sure you visit this spa. If I lived closer I would come as often as possible. read more

Wow!! Great massage! I am in town visiting with family and needed a massage after a spine-twisting trip on Amtrak from Chicago. Someone in the family suggested Ani and I dropped her an email. She was quick to respond and able to accommodate my schedule. Her office is very calming and quirky; the massage room is absolutely perfect. It's dimly lit and you can choose the type of music you want, if you want music at all. Ani is very welcoming and made me feel at home immediately. Ani paid close attention to the areas I needed work on, as indicated on the form you fill out when you arrive. She was attentive and the massage was just wonderful. If you're in the area and need massage, please check out Ani. You won't be disappointed! :) read more

I LOVED this place. Although it isn't a super fancy spa (which we all know can be nice to splurge at some times), the massage I got was of better quality than expensive spas I've spent a lot more money on for a massage. The place is clean and quiet. The Staff is very friendly and inviting. I got a heavy weight massage which made me feel like I got my butt kicked in the best way ever. I sit at a desk all day long M-F and I get tons of knots all over my back. After my massage here, I felt like a new person with all the work that the masseuse did on my back. Not to mention the AWESOME foot massage I received as part of it. I'm already trying to get in for a couples massage so my boyfriend can appreciate this place like I did after my first visit. Please give this place a try, it will be worth it. read more

The best massages! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Love the tea in the waiting area too.

Excellent massage!!! The entry is simple with nice treatment rooms, but the body work was excellent and that's why you go to get a massage right? I saw Sarah and it was one of the best massages I ever had. She really knew what she was doing to help me with my pain. read more

Just had a Vitamin C facial with Ali. WOW. It was one of the best facials I have ever had...she was thorough, careful, thoughtful, precise and knowledgable. My skin is glowing. I was relaxed, and also felt justified in being there as she actively involved herself in working on my skin. Sometimes, I have had facials where I feel like the person is just going through the motions and laying cream on my skin. This was A FACIAL. I highly recommend and will absolutely return. Thank you Ali. read more

I had an incredible facial with Bernadette. In work " in the industry," so it was all the more special to know that I was in such skilled hands. I found my facialist! read more

Best facial I've ever had from Allie! She's super thorough and friendly. Spot is nice and unassuming. Prices are a little higher than I expected but worth it. read more

I had a wonderful prenatal massage with Abigail and it was so relaxing. She was constantly ensuring that I was comfortable and had everything I needed to be relaxed. The business itself was clean, inviting, and I felt great being there. read more

Knowing a therapy massage means some pain, but gets to the source of the problem, I was eager to get relief, being a very active person, who now was using a cane and on pain medication for a week. Dusty explained throughout the process how she was trying to free up the muscle(s) affecting the sciatic nerve which was giving me total immobility and pain...my life was in shambles hardly being able to move about without a cane. After an hour of intense specific massage to the affected area, I was able to not only leave without a cane, but come home and appreciate some freedom, which I previously took for granite. The next option would have been Cortizone shots, which would not have loosened up all the muscles, just masked the pain. Thank you, and I will be more diligent about making these treatments more frequent and not at a time of total stress. read more

What a great place. This was my first massage. The staff were so friendly and informative. A very comfortable and relaxing environment. The massage therapist did an incredible job.My sister and I left feeling so relaxed. I will be back again! Thank you so much. read more

Horrible customer service. No point of reliving the story about how we were treated - just beware that this is not a place that will treat you with respect. Atrocious experience and I hope to be able to one day erase it from my memory. Long story short, we didn't get our massages. RESPONSE TO COMMENT: Unfortunately, that's simply not what happened. We GOT a call on Valentine's because we were on the waiting list for a couples massage and there had been a cancellation (we were told). We asked, as students with really limited funds as you can understand, if we could get the 30 minute massage for the price of the one hour massage cut in in two - a reasonable request - and we made it clear that if that wasn't possible, that's okay, we're still interested. The person on the phone said she would ask and call us back, and hung up. We waited, but she said we need to get there 15 minutes after we spoke at the latest, so we thought "hey, we're first on the waiting list, so either way, might as well drive there since we are next in line for these massages and there's no reason it shouldn't work out." We get there - TURNS OUT, instead of calling us back like she said she would, she called someone else and filled the spot in the 10 minutes between when we spoke and when we got there... I assume this is the manager writing so you only have information that your employee gave you - of course she would twist the story to protect herself but the truth is that we have no reason to lie about what happened. We were willing customers who by the way extremely rarely raise any trouble with a business. Calling someone else before notifying us in any way and without giving us the option to pay the full price (only $4 more than we had asked about by the way) is pretty shocking customer service. Level with us here -- what could we have done differently?? We are students and we wanted to do something nice for Valentine's Day so we asked if there was a POSSIBILITY for a meager discount to help us make that happen, but made it clear that it's ok if not. Maybe we'll come by again and we can work this out in person, as I'm sure it's not the business's fault as a whole that this happened. Still, it really put a damper on our Valentine's Day to be treated like we're useless customers and don't even deserve a call back just because we asked for the possibility of $4 off the listed price. read more

I went to birch body care today with my fiancé to get a couples massage. This was the our first massage ever! I got the spa-la-la which was absolutely amazing and left me feeling refreshed. My fiancé got the combo massage and asked for some heavy pressure to help get his knots out. He was absolutely amazed. The prices we thought were move than affordable. We will definitely be making this our place to go for any massages in the future. We can't wait to go back! read more

I had a good massage. The place is not fancy, but their prices are fair.

My wife bought me an hour long massage with Dylan about a week ago and I have to say it was amazing. He found all the knots and really did some great work leaving me refreshed and rejuvenated. I do a lot of cycling and I wanted him to focus on my lower body and he found some areas that had pockets of tightness and fatigue I never knew were there. I fully recommend him! read more

Run don't walk to this place. I've known about it for awhile but am usually loyal to another spa in the area. Decided to switch it up and am so glad I did. By far had the best massage I've had in my entire life from Dusty. She was so thoughtful throughout the massage and took efforts to make sure I had a great experience that I've never had before. This was the perfect place to get pampered for my 30th birthday. I will be coming back for more of Dusty's magic work ASAP. read more

I stopped here on my lunchbreak for a quick 15 minute massage. Ani immediately put me at ease, which is so important when you want to relax and fully enjoy the massage. You have the option of either a chair or table massage, which is great. Ani's massage was fantastic! I typically go to either Haven or Mohonk, and Ani's massage was as good as either of these places. I will definitely be back. Super clean and cute office too. This place is a great asset to uptown Kingston! read more

Over the past 10 years I have never been disappointed in a massage at Birtch Body care. I generally can get an appointment when I call with pretty short notice and so far the quality is very good to excellent. As of late the prices are nearing NYC massage prices for the deep tissue. That said , I had one today and it was well worth it . I highly recommend Birtch Body care. read more

Had a massage yesterday. Usually I'm a deep tissue person, but given some major stress life tossed at me, I needed to have a Zen relaxing massage. That's exactly what I received. Birch Body Care listens. It's a friendly, calming atmosphere. The massage was perfect. I really didn't want to leave. I could've stayed and napped all day afterwards. Thank you thank you! It's definitely worth a visit. . read more

Hands down, the best massages I've ever had. If I lived closer it'd be a monthly event.

Thank god for this place! Such talented practitioners and such reasonable rates. Ani is a true healer.

Today was my first time at Birch Body Care and i loved it! My massage was wonderful and the space was quiet and calming. I also loved all the products that were for sale in the entrance. I will definitely be back! read more

I was drawn in by the $1/per minute massage deal, and I ended up doing an appointment for the 30 minute massage at $35. It was very relaxing and the staff was friendly. However there was a miscommunication, and as during a massage, one generally loses track of time. As I scheduled the 30 minute, the masseuse went over the time and decided to go for the full hour at $65 without asking me or acknowledging what my appointment was for. It was disappointing as my stress was only taken away temporarily until I ended up paying for something I did not sign up for. My back felt slightly better, but I think it will be my last time here. read more

Great all around experience. My husband and I booked a couples massage for this past weekend. We had Dusty and Jackie and both were very professional and experienced. Dusty even told me how to stretch to ease some of my aches and pains. Found Birch through these reviews and our hotel also recommended them. Would definitely go there again! read more

Fantastic massage! I have been to see Ani few times now and she is by far the best massage therapist in the area.

I can't pass up the $1/per minute deal. Been there a bunch of times and always left relaxed and happy.
