I have to say this has been my "go to" nail salon for MANY years. Today was just different. No hello when I walked it I felt pretty dismissed. My usual pedicure the (upgraded lemon spa) was not the way it usually is. The technician didn't cut my cuticle correctly and cut me not once but twice to the point that I was bleeding. One week later my cuticle is still not feeling normal and is sore. I've never felt uncomfortable having a pedicure there, but I felt extremely uncomfortable on this day. I'm not sure if they've changed owners ( Wendy seemed to be"in charge" today) I've been very pleased over the years. I always pay cash, tip well and consider myself a good client hopefully if I return I won't have the same experience. read more

I've been here 3 times and for some reason I've given it three times to realize I'll never go back. Though I've never had the best experience, this last one takes the cake. Midway through my manicure I was cut to the point it continued to bleed quite heavily. Instead of taking the time to make sure the cuticle stopped bleeding (because it's always quantity over quality here) the guy continued to try to do my nails. Now there's blood smeared into my nail polish! Also, none of them are even. It's a bloody lumpy mess! My pedicure also looks textured for some reason. Like I dipped my big toe in sand! Don't waste your time trying this place. Also, can we talk about how unsanitary this all is? They continued to use the polish brush, file, drill and dipped my nail in powder all while bleeding! They also refused to take the price of the manicure off. Someone offered to fix it but by that point I didn't want anyone to touch me or my nails. I'm incredibly annoyed! This place honestly was so bad. I came in and showed the design I wanted and color and the lady said she could do it. When we got to the design she obviously couldn't do it. It was a flower. I'll attach picture. She then got mad at me when I asked her to make it look more like the picture. She also told me it would be $12 for both hands and ended up charging me $18. Besides that, the shape was so awful and the nails started coming apart TWO DAYS later. I had to go somewhere else to get them fixed and they said they were some of the worst nails they'd seen. Clean and sanitary. I go for pedi and anc. The ANC is quick and they have a solid choice of colors. The pedicure is nice too. I think this is the best place in the area. There can be a short wait sometimes, so call in advance if you're in a hurry. read more

I have been here several times and always paid cash. Today I wanted to pay with a debit card. Nowhere does it say anything about charges to use cards (you can't charge to use a debit card anyway). My total was $78 (charged to the debit card) for a spa pedicure, regular manicure, and eyebrow wax. I paid the tip in cash. After I left, I got a notice on my card's app that Sunny Nails charged me $93.60. I went back and asked why. The owner insisted she only charged $78 and I had to call my bank. Note; there is no bank associated with this card. It's a prepaid Visa gift card. After I left, I did the math and realized this was an intentional charge of 20%. Not 3%, 4% like some places charge to use cards - and again, this wasn't a credit card. TWENTY PERCENT, and she acted as if she was clueless. I used the card 5 other times today and of course there was no mysterious charge anywhere else. It wasn't worth it to me to go back for her to play dumb for a second time. I am livid and will never return. No wonder the place was nearly empty today. read more

I have never waited more than 5 minutes upon walking in. Covid precautions are in place. Hand sanitizer available. Everyone is busy and happy. The place was very clean, nice, and reasonably priced. I walked in around 4pm for a full set and didn't leave until about a quarter after 7.. it was not very busy, especially not busy enough to take 3 hours for something that should've taken around 45 minutes to an hour at most! I was left sitting and waiting for a majority of my time there. Plus my nails do not look like what I asked for.. I don't hate my nails but I definitely don't like them either. Salon was clean but I'm super disappointed with my Gel Manicure. They didn't go all the way to cuticle so it looked grown out as soon as it was done. They usually last at least two weeks if not more but this didn't even last a week before it started peeling and chipping. Not a worth the price for sure. read more

Horrible service. I went for an acrylic set and she tried to push anc on me for 10 minutes as I kept refusing it. She cut several of my fingers then put liquid bandage on it when I said not to. It's more difficult than it seems it should be to find a mani/pedi place in the Woodstock area, so while there on vacation, we came to Kingston with lowish expectations and were very pleasantly surprised by Sunny Nails. As others have said, the place is clean -- with new tub liners and files for each customer -- and very nice women who work there. They set a timer for the foot/leg massage, which was a little awkward, but at the same time I knew that I was getting what I signed up for. And, the prices were very reasonable, too.
