This restaurant is in walk across the parking lot distance from the hotel where we were staying. As soon as our party of 6 which included 4 adults and 2 toddlers was seated we were greeted right away and gave our drink orders. We had ribs and pulled pork for the meats and mac and cheese, corn on the cob and baked beans for the sides. Some of us cleaned our plates and for those who couldn't we boxed it up. The ribs are tender and delicious and this barbecue spot does sliced toasted bread instead of putting just a slice of white bread like some BBQ spots. It is a just a good ol' BBQ joint. A two-meat combo for me, and a turkey sandwich with fries for my wife. This is some of the best smoked turkey that you will find. It is exactly as it is described on the menu, "tender and juicy." A large order of this to go, would complement that thanksgiving dinner. Ribs and that turkey were on my plate, with baked beans and slaw. The sides here are very good. The ribs big and meaty, perfect texture. They use a slightly sweet rub with a hint of cinnamon. Wonderful menu and food was fantastic! Got the mixed appetizer of onion rings, spicy green beans and fried pickles! Nice, crunchy without being oily! I had the brisket baked potato and the bbq sauce was a tangy sweet. Hub's rib's meat fell right off the bone with a good thick bark, nice smoke ring and rub was tasty so no need to add too much bbq. Brisket had bbq mixed with it and the sides of okra and sweet potato fries were delicious. Save room for dessert of the strawberry rhubarb-it was warm and delish! We called in an order for carryout of the Large Family Pack as listed on the menu. The description states: "Feeds five to six people. Three pounds of meat, five large side orders, pickles, onions and a loaf of bread." The price on their website is listed as $74.99. We ordered a total of three pounds of meat (1 lb sliced brisket, 1/2 lb chopped brisket, 1/2 lb pulled pork, 1/2 lb sausage, and 1/2 lb bologna) along with five sides: coleslaw, potato salad, fried okra, baked beans, and corn on the cob. When my wife got home, the receipt showed a $99.50 subtotal, with every item rung up individually instead of as the Large Family Pack. Assuming it was a mistake, we called to have it corrected. Instead, we were told that we "ordered wrong" because the three pounds of meat were different types. This was never mentioned when we placed the order, nor were we told there would be an upcharge or that this wasn't allowed. When I asked why this wasn't explained at the time of ordering, there was no clear answer. Additionally, the meal is advertised as feeding five to six people, yet the corn on the cob portion consisted of only three half-ears. That hardly seems reasonable for a meal of that size. The hot links, gotta be house made! Hot enough so you feel it, but not . Ribs are tender, yet not falling off the bones. Perfect. Beans gotta be a house recipe. The potato salad on the other hand taste like it comes out of a bucket. On an errand to Owasso my wife suggested Trails end for dinner. I almost always up for BBQ. We arrived about an hour before closing. I ordered a (standard bbq meal) of a 2 meat combo including Ribs, Chopped Brisket, baked beans and potato salad. They hit a home run. The ribs were as tender and tasty as you would wish. They has a smooth smoky flavor with no harsh notes. The brisket was tender almost to the point of a mush but stop short of being unpleasantly so. The potato salad was adequate with the appropriate creamy texture and properly cooked potato cubes. The supporting vinegary flavor agents were just strong enough to cut the acid flavors of the bbq. The baked beans were passable with a tomatoey base that stayed within bounds. Not prize worthy but supporting the meal alright. A definite must return spot for real, traditional bbq. read more

Served dry (unsauced) the ribs had a solid dry rub bark. No sauce necessary. Wednesdays and Thursdays the ribs are all you can eat. On other days the third of a rack (4 ribs) plate is still filling. Two sides are included. Green beans were perfectly seasoned with bacon bits. The creamy coleslaw was dry to my taste though others might find it very satisfactory. Plenty of food served hot. Ordered fried pickles and side salad. Husband ordered the Ramwhich with home made chips. Meat was super tender, not too spicy but spicy enough. Ramwhich has chopped brisket, hot links, and bologna. All was delicious. Our waitress was super nice and all the staff was beyond courteous. We even got some apple cobbler to go! For what it's worth, I preface this review by saying we didn't eat BBQ on our last visit. Once in a blue moon, Trail's End will have a steak night. This means a nicely done ribeye steak, smoked and grilled, and served with your choice of sides. I know, right? Steak at a 'cue joint? There's even a long standing maxim among BBQ lovers that you don't eat BBQ at a steak house, and you don't eat steak at a BBQ joint. As we all know, for every rule, there's an exception, and this is that exception. Trail's End does a really good BBQ on any given day, and they're a great addition to the Owasso scene. Ok so we first tried trails end when we first moved here 10 years ago and I wasn't overly impressed.. so we decided we would try their all you can eat rib night out and this time around I can say I was much more happier we stopped by. Now the ribs didn't have this high end but and they were a little on the fatty side but they did have a good amount of meat on them and they weren't too shabby. My friend and I made a comment as to how it seemed they weren't right out of the smoke stack but they were way too moist to not have been kept warm in an oven as if they might almost have been steam heated or something.. either way we definitely pounded down a rack and a half and with their bbq sauce it was good. Now I got their coleslaw and it is just the generic home Made nothing fancy but the baked beans reminded me of the last time. So they got consistency on that but I wasn't a big fan. Kinda tasted like they use a flower to season their beans... but try them at least. The best pet was at the end when they had cobbler for desert... thee only thing missing was the ice cream! I went here to pick up my Christmas Turkey and Ham. The turkey was dried out and lacked flavor and taste. It almost seemed like it was a turkey from Thanksgiving. The ham on the other hand was a hit. It was fresh and had some good flavor. When I picked it up, it was cold so I had to heat it up. For $211 dollars I spent I would think they would at least hear it up. I can't recall if they asked if it needed to be heated. I would order the ham again but the turkey is a different story in my personal opinion. The worst ribs I have ever had. They were dry and tough with a lot of fat. Only ate a few bites. Asked to speak to the manager and was told he wasn't working that day.
