I really liked the vibe of the inside and loved the indoor/outdoor space separated by an open garage door. All the equipment is nice and new! The class I took was a Build class (a strength class) and we rotated ~8 stations three times. It was a good workout. I really loved the music they played too! The monthly rate seemed inline with CrossFit or other boutique gyms so a little pricey in my opinion. I also saw the instructor cleaning all the equipment after the class so that was a plus!

The set up doesn't make a ton of sense to me, and they lack some/enough equipment. For example, they only have 1 hip thrust machine. The weight area is a little tight. I got the grand tour and saw all of the special workout rooms, childcare, coworker space, Pickleball courts, pools, recovery, areas, cold, plunges, saunas, and more. I loved how vast the actual gym floor was, with plenty of machines and free weights, everything you could think of, and not too crowded. Although it was a Saturday afternoon, I get the feeling that it's never unbearably crowded. They have enough machines to go around to avoid long lines. I got a great workout in, and then we hit the showers. We went in the sauna for a bit, as well as switched between the hot tub and cold plunge, it was really nice. I love that the locker rooms have everything you need, large and small towels, toiletries, and hairdryers The showers are hot with great water pressure and everything feels very clean. I had such a nice experience here. However, I don't think it's worth the membership price. Not only is it almost half an hour from me, but even if it was two minutes away, i don't think i could justify the $330 a month price tag. There's just not enough value there.

This class is not designed for beginners. As a total beginner myself, I was humbled. Angela's epic playlist and encouragement kept me distracted from the burn and I was able to make it through the whole class (barely and with lots of breaks) and walked out feeling something like a runners high. I love a challenge, love a space full of positivity and no judgement (even as I lay face down on my mat) and I will definitely be back next Tuesday to try again.

Each class begins with everyone introducing themselves and sharing an answer to a question of the day. The members know each other by name and there is a camaraderie there that you don't typically see - even at other crossfit locations. The coaches are very attentive and very safety conscious. The equipment is all well-maintained and the best of the best. 5280 offers one of the best beginner's programs (they call it their 6-week challenge). I didn't take the course, but I see people emerge from the class informed about the movements and motivated to pursue crossfit. Their retention rate among new members speaks for itself. If you are a current crossfit fan or are just looking for a way to improve your health and fitness give 5280 a try!

If you are looking for that intimidating, mirrors-everywhere, judgment-heavy "typical gym vibe"--look elsewhere. This place is incredibly welcoming and genuinely fun. Their small group personal training strikes the perfect balance between getting a killer workout and having a laugh. The coaching staff is the real highlight: they are super knowledgeable, highly professional, and legitimately funny (even when they are forcing you to do another set of burpees). Plus, it is located right off I-70 near Wheat Ridge, making it so convenient to get to that I've officially run out of excuses to skip a workout. 10/10 recommend!

Let's talk about what Ethos is doing during this pandemic. I've been to Ethos, the hair stylist,…read moregrocery stores, home improvement stores, and the doctor (twice) since our Safer At Home orders have started. And I've felt the safest at Ethos. Everyone is in masks, everyone has their own bottle of cleaner to wipe down equipment, and everyone has their own 10'-15' space in the gym to work out. Doors are open, the ceilings are high, and classes are limited to 6 people. They are making a huge effort to clean every day, and everyone is screened for symptoms before entering the gym. Honestly, I was more worried picking up an order at Home Depot than I've been at Ethos - they are taking our health and safety extremely seriously. As a former athlete with multiple surgeries under my belt, I've been in and out of gyms and physical therapy my whole life. I went through years of very expensive personal trainers only to see minimal gains. I decided to try Ethos after hearing about it from former teammates. What I found was a gym that challenged me, with a team of trainers that are dedicated to every member's success. After 40+ years of destroying my body, I'm now learning how to breathe and move in a different way in order to prevent further injuries. In less than a year I've gained more strength and confidence than I ever did with 10 years of personal trainers. Simply put, Ethos is the best.

This summer camp has gone way down hill and unfortunately the management of the childcare program…read moredoesn't seem to care. The managers are not on site, and rarely, if ever, visited the location last summer. We have gone to camp here for four consecutive summers. Previously the summer camp was AMAZING. Under the care of Ms Isabel, who unfortunately left in June of 2024, the camp was well run, the campers and staff all seemed happy, and for kids like my son who have more difficulty in social settings, they did a great job with accommodations. We recruited all of our friends to join us at the camp, and things rapidly fell apart. Fast forward to Summer of 2024 after Isabel left, the camp was a disaster. I was able to leave with my kids without telling anyone, they rarely had the sign out system that worked so no one knew who was able to pick up the kids anyway. Our friends pulled their kids from camp after severe bullying and our kids were out in 100+ degree heat for hours several days a week having unorganized time. Just recently, as we were trying to make a pivot for out of school days to another option, my son was "lost" for an hour before anyone realized he wasn't in his group. He was sent home for going inside because his counselor couldn't find him. When I was called they told me he wandered outside but in reality he went inside and sat by the managers office for an hour before anyone approached him. The next day he was forced to play a game (he's autistic and noise is an issue for him and we have accommodations in place for this sort of thing) or told that he would have to be picked up by me. He was hit from behind and hit the floor, ultimately breaking his front two teeth. When I was called, the counselor made it seem like no big deal and told me he "may have chipped a tooth" which in actuality resulted in emergency dental surgery. Long story short, this will cost us thousands of dollars, and I can't even get an email back from the YMCA to see what next steps are, or to cancel my membership. Other friends have been tempted to call CPS due to the lack of regard these young counselors have for the kids. They may be affordable for camp, but with the sign up just around the corner, I needed to say my piece. I don't feel safe with my kids at this location and can't imagine they will get it together in time for summer with the amount of competent adults they have lost over the years.
