The contract clearly states "whichever comes first", meaning mileage or time.By May, our car reached 6,000 km, and we were already past the 6‑month mark. Well within Toyota's normal maintenance schedule. When we went in, Toyota WEM refused to do the oil change and told us to "come back at 12,000 km." My husband went back June, July, and August, and every single time he came home disappointed because they still refused to perform the oil change we were promised. Their explanation was always the same: "Your car is under warranty, don't worry if it breaks down." Now it's September, our RAV4 is at 14,200 km, and Toyota WEM still refuses to honour the lifetime oil change agreement. We even showed them the paper that says "whichever comes first," and they dismissed it.We considered getting the oil changed elsewhere, but Toyota WEM kept implying our warranty might be affected , which left us feeling stuck and misled. At this point, we regret buying from Toyota WEM. The service has been dismissive, unhelpful, and has caused months of frustration. A dealership should honor its commitments.

I just love his name. The customer waiting area is very comfortable and they will offer you a coffee while you wait. The garage itself is fairly clean with lots of bays, an alignment machine and several technicians available. They charge on-par rates with other local garages and may be a bit more expensive than some small back alley shops, but they don't feel grimey like some cheaper places do. Overall I found them to be honest, direct and most of all polite to their customers. I trust them to work on my vehicles. I had brought my old Ford Exploder there and they treated it, and me, very well. I even had a comeback and they investigated it properly. Turned out not to be their fault but they still decided not to charge me for taking the extra time to investigate a battery issue. I would recommend family here without hesitation.

I went in today for an oil change at the Kwik Lube in Sherwood Park where I have been a loyal…read morecustomer for over 20 years. I pulled into the lineup at the back where there was one vehicle ahead of me. I positioned my vehicle partly in the shade, but I was very clearly still in line. Soon after, other vehicles arrived and I pulled forward slightly to make it clear I was already waiting. When the vehicle ahead of me was called in, I started moving forward and was stopped by an employee. The customers who were now behind me were yelling out their windows that I hadn't been there and was cutting in line. I explained to the employee that I had been there first, he then said he could check the cameras and I said yes please do. This went on for several minutes. Then two other employees said they hadn't seen me there. I explained that they were inside and could not have seen where I had been waiting, particularly because of the dumpster. I again asked them to check the cameras so we could establish what actually happened. Instead, the employee told me he believed the other customers and his coworkers over me and told me to go to the back of the line. He refused to check the cameras. I also questioned how I could have been in front of these other trucks if I had arrived after them. I have never experienced such a humiliating and disrespectful situation at a business. I was accused of something I had not done, had multiple people yelling at me from their vehicles, and then had an employee decide who to believe without even bothering to verify the facts when there was a camera available to do I strongly urge the owner/manager to review the security footage where it will verify that I was there first and was unnecessarily humiliated. This is not a business I would recommend with employees like that. No one deserves to be treated like this And based on your response to the review I posted elsewhere, I didn't magically appear at the front of the line. Given the narrowness of that back alley how could I have possibly get my suv past all those other cars in line if I had come after them?? And after your staff initially said he could check the cameras why would I have insisted he check them and still insisted in my review if I had cut the line, knowing it would've proved me wrong?! We are very pleased with the service at Best Choice Automotive. Denzel, the new owner of six months, has kept up the good name of this business, and the service was exceptional. We appreciated his friendliness, and we found him to be as honest and transparent as is his policy. Our vehicle was fixed and ready to go faster than estimated, which was a terrific bonus for us. Best Choice is now our go-to automotive repair business. The labour charge is on par with a good automotive service shop. You can likely you can find some cheaper places, however, we've had the experience that you get what you pay for. We experienced that today. One of the issues we had with our vehicle was that we had taken it for an oil change at a chain-business (looking at you, "Mr.") because it was less expensive. We certainly got what we paid for: cheap price and bad service. Unknowing to us, the oil filter that was not put on properly, and over a bit of time a litre of oil leaked out as we were driving around. We can't even imagine the cost if all the oil had had all been lost. We appreciate that inexperienced people learn to change oil and may make mistakes while learning at chain-businesses, but we cannot afford to have their inexperience cause us issues with our car. From now on we will go to Best Choice to have our oil changes done by a trained and qualified automotive service technician. It's likely going to cost more than a chain-business would charge, but to prevent what would have been 1000s of dollars in damage makes it a smart move in our opinion. Car repairs can be costly, and we admittedly have a small income, but better to spend a little more to take care of our car and give up something else from our tight budget than not to have a working vehicle. Also, on the humourous side, Denzel was completely non-judgemental when he repaired the mistake we made and explained what we did wrong on a car repair we did ourselves. Thanks, Denzel -- appreciate that! Best Choice is our top choice, and we highly recommend them.
