Clear explainations of problems, careful tracking of your vehicle history, friendly and skilled staff, willingness to refer you if someone else could do a job cheaper/faster/better. They are particulary good at recommending the cheapest effective options. Once the solution was to hit a part with a wrench; it worked, and they charged me nothing. On a couple of occasions where repairs were not spot-on, they fixed the problem without hesitation. Case in point: I had a starter that chronically failed over a few years. I only paid for it once, but they replaced it and found the root cause of the problem. You owe it to yourself to check them out.

So when the bunny's car had issues and needed some diagnosis and loving, she had trepidations, and I puffed up to help out and run interference (even though my hardware experience is centered around something many nanometers smaller than an oil dipstick). Neither of us needn't have worried. The staff at Ital Motors were reassuring on the phone, honored our Groupon, saw us the same day as the check engine light turned on, gave us advice and recommendations about not only the issue at hand but helpfully triaged the next needed repairs on the bunny's car. They had been great up until they were bought out by Go Auto, and for me, the service went rapidly downhill. (a tip... never take your vehicle to a shop that has it's service writers on commission.) After polling friends who were Volks Folks, the number 1 recommendation was Dubsport, so with a needed tune up looming, I paid a visit. Dubsport is just the sort of place I love. One guy running a bustling little shop, who offers excellent service and value, and is willing to answer your questions honestly. Richard was extremely helpful and accommodating, and did a wonderful job on the car. On a couple of occasions since, he has helped me with inquiries and minor issues quickly and painlessly, and I am now a diehard Dubsport fan. I recommend this spot highly, if you are suffering from dealership abuse, or you just love your Volkswagen / Audi and want someone who will treat it right.

I have sent several friends there and they are nice enough to tell you ahead of time if it is worth it. A friends transmission was failing and he let her know how much the fix would cost and the fact that replacing the solenoid as it was saying would most probably not solve it and it would require a full trans replacement. So she could decide ahead of time that it was not worth it to start down that road on an old vehicle that the repairs would cost more than it would be worth. Dealers would have done the initial repair knowing that it would just have been pouring money into a hole.

The manual said I should get transmission fluid, brake fluid changed, a tune-up, etc. Revolution Motors was recommended to me. The receptionist was efficient, explained the process and told me that when they finished the inspection of the car they would call and let me know the cost, and get approval for the work. They gave me a car to use while mine was in the shop. Long-story short my Forester is in great shape, and they told me that I didn't need to do the scheduled maintenance because everything was great (it is a very low mileage vehicle). Only charged me for the oil change - and gave me a great price. They have definitely won a customer for the future. So glad that the folks on Reddit suggested them. I'll be back as needed.

Since we were from Spokane, WA., and needed to get home, this was impractical. The next day we went to visit Mike Schmidt at 17108 107 Ave., and he said they would review the tire situation. Costco had already replaced the regular tire with the spare donut. This they did, and in a few hours, had it fixed "to industry standards" and we were on our way back to Spokane. No problems since. Kudos to Mike and crew. We could not have been happier with their attention and service.

I had an appointment for 8 a.m. to get my tires swapped over. Everyone else, literally at least 10 people had an 8 a.m. appointment to. I managed to luckily be the first in line. After waiting 45 minutes, I was told "We can't put your winter tires on". I've never heard of such a thing. They said one was a dot 2010 and so I needed 3 new tires. I asked them to show me the law that said you had to replace your tires. They could not...because there is NO SUCH THING! They made this up in order to sell me tires. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS AGAIN! One day, someone will sue them for bait and switch which is a Anti Trust law violation and making up laws that don't exist. Don't waste your time here. I went to a small independant garage the same day, had my tires switched over (they aren't on rims") for $90 and they were done in 40 minutes. Go to NBS Auto on 1533 70th Ave. These guys were really busy and still got me in and out in 40 minutes! I would bet they sell twice as many tires without lying to customers in a day than trail does in a month!
