Had to go back to shop when I couldn't figure it out myself. Time and gas wasted... Eco tire with better tread than my existing tires was installed on front passenger side where donut was when a retired mechanic advised that it should have been switched to the rear passenger tire. It would have taken more effort to switch the two tires than the one... so lazy and unprofessional work! My silver lining is that a bare bones tire shop was discovered on the south side which has amazing prices for decent quality new tires and that my retired mechanic is a go-to advice guy for many and will absolutely not recommend Eco Tire to anyone again. I did not think my initial review was lacking clarity! Perhaps service standards for Eco workers should have clarity!

They have a huge selection of tires and rims of all styles (if you're into that stuff) but for an average girl like me it's a perfectly quiet spot for a quick change. Updating my review…read more Still coming to Chase and his team at Gate Avenue Service - I think we've brought 4 vehicles here now over 10 years. First and most importantly, Chase and his team are honest and hard working. They are extremely busy but always make time to diagnose and give second opinions. They have saved me money and given me solid advice multiple times when dealerships were leaving me astray. Most recently Chase and his team helped me to advocate (aka fight) Hyundai to get a replacement on my engine. Chase provided me all the documentation that Hyundai required not once, but twice, and in paper and in e-mail after Hyundai "misplaced" it. Chase did both of these requests same day. Chase has seen me at my worst (in tears) completely overwhelmed with car stress (and I don't speak car) and also completely flustered trying to explain what felt off with my vehicle when I seriously was not describing it well. The team at Gate is always courteous and treat me and all the customers I have ever seen with respect. The only limitation or downside with Gate is that they are really busy - and for good reason! So you may have to wait a bit for an appointment but they will always treat you right! PS They offer a program to store your tires for you! I had an appointment for 8 a.m. to get my tires swapped over. Everyone else, literally at least 10 people had an 8 a.m. appointment to. I managed to luckily be the first in line. After waiting 45 minutes, I was told "We can't put your winter tires on". I've never heard of such a thing. They said one was a dot 2010 and so I needed 3 new tires. I asked them to show me the law that said you had to replace your tires. They could not...because there is NO SUCH THING! They made this up in order to sell me tires. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS AGAIN! One day, someone will sue them for bait and switch which is a Anti Trust law violation and making up laws that don't exist. Don't waste your time here. I went to a small independant garage the same day, had my tires switched over (they aren't on rims") for $90 and they were done in 40 minutes. Go to NBS Auto on 1533 70th Ave. These guys were really busy and still got me in and out in 40 minutes! I would bet they sell twice as many tires without lying to customers in a day than trail does in a month!
