We were going to be passing through in the morning so we figured we would stop in and get breakfast here. We knew it was not a buffet and was just more like a regular restaurant. The service was a bit slow, although very pleasant. The food was nothing special, but was just basic solid breakfast. I ordered the seasonal frittata, which was fine. I was surprised that the ham steak that came as a meat choice was a quarter size rather than at least half. Fruit was mostly melon, but I'm okay when places change up the fruit side. My partner got an omelet that was filled with lots of meat and veggies. It was a basic breakfast, but we wanted to stop for a few minutes in the casino anyway, so it was worth the convenience. read more

No longer a buffet. Due to abysmal staff training, especially for wait staff, service is poor, food marginal to ok. Last night was BBQ night, which is a cafeteria tray of random, almost unidentifiable meats. A teeny cornbread muffin, biscuit ( not a luscious one. Dry. Tasteless) A small dish of Cowboy Beans, which was perhaps the best item. 3 small plastic containers of different BBQ sauces. All bland. One mixed with mustard, one with A1 sauce. There's more: a teeny tart. It's named Buttermilk Pie. The nachos we ordered were supposed to be half meat/half no meat. Came with greasy meat dumped atop all. No plates served with it, so we were left to maneuver the gloppy mess hand to mouth. No offers of drink refills. Customer service is easy; make yourself available. Check in often. Be within beckoning distance, pay attention to guests. Look for service opportunities. Clear table as you go. Arrive at the table empty, leave with dirties. Fixate less on straws .. most do not use them. Just skip it all. There's a Subway across the street. read more

DURING COVID-19 (TAKEOUT ONLY) It was a winter storm and we came here to gamble a bit, wasn't too busy since it was snowing so much! SERVICE: We ordered breakfast here at 9am, food didn't arrive until 9:30am (we had an order for 6 people). The cashier lady who took our order was friendly and prompt, this was taken with ease and a smile. However, after ordering it seemed like chaos in the back and extremely inefficient. The receipts that get sent to the back kitchen do not specify items so the cook/waiter kept coming to the front cashier to ask what we ordered. For example, the receipt says "JUICE" but doesn't specify apple or orange juice. The receipt says "omelette" but doesn't specify regular or egg whites (which it what I ordered). The receipt says "AMERICAN BREAKFAST" but doesn't specify how we want our eggs, if we choose sausage or bacon, etc. VERY INEFFICIENT POS SYSTEM! Not the cashiers fault honestly. Also, we should've at least received our beverages (coffee and orange juice) first so we could sip on while we wait, but they did that at the very end and then they didn't even have coffee made at 9:30am, so we had to wait even longer for our drinks. FOOD: I had an egg white omelette with wheat toast and has browns (pictured), it was a small omelette but the toast was HUGE! They were both delicious. The food I had zero complaints about. I also ordered a coffee which was fresh and strong. Their Orange juices are in soda cups and HUGE! Food portions for our entire party were HUGE and everyone liked their food, so no complaints. OVERALL: We would still go here since there is really no other option, especially during COVID. I just hope this review helps to make things more efficient for their customers. read more

Was staying at the RV park for a few days and had Traditions for dinner one night and breakfast one morning. Very average restaurant, it was fine food and fine service. Friday night had the Prime Rib special, not very tender but $30 for a three course dinner wasn't bad. Breakfast was extremely average. It did the job though, and definitely made a turd. read more

What a great dining experience at what used to be a buffet and is now an a la carte restaurant. Excellent, attentive and friendly service. The food is served hot and tasty. We enjoyed the chicken burgers (the beef burgers can be made chicken burgers for a small upcharge). The side salad was great. This is no longer a buffet. We arrived on the weekend in time for the Prime Rib dinner. It was pretty decent! A 9 oz cut cooked perfectly medium rare. A huge baked potato with lots of toppings, salad, roll and veggies. Very filling. Service was good. No complaints. Prime rib was overpriced and COLD. Felt like it came straight out of the fridge. I order a RARE cut of prime rib and it was medium well done. They don't even offer buffet anymore you have to order. One of the worse casino buffets. I have came here multiple times and each time I have been very disappointed. I will not be giving them another chance. The biscuits were way over done and hard as a rock. Their baked beans had a thick layer of crust on them. I watched everyone just walk by them. Shrimp-These were nicely cooked the coating had a nice little crunch and the shrimp inside were melt in your mouth tender. 5 stars Shrimp Purse-This morsel was odd at first, it was a little harder to chew it was a round ball that was extra crunchy, it was good but not a second round good. 3 stars Salmon Florentine-This was good it had a tasty sauce on the salmon, but underneath the salmon was flavorless it was cooked good but it just had no pizzazz in the salmon itself. 2 1/2 stars Prime Rib-This was tasty, very tender had good flavor I got a medium rare piece which I liked a lot everything about it was good. 5 stars Lobster-This was he best lobster I have ever eaten at a buffet, it was not one of those already coked lobster the flesh was still tender and succulent when you cracked the lobster, I was definitely impressed with this yummy lobster. 5++ stars Mac n Cheese-This was a yummy mac n cheese it had enough cheese, the right amount of seasoning it wasn't mushy this was delicious!! 5 stars Bacon Ranch Chicken-I know lobster is supposed to be like the supreme thing and my lobster was delicious but this food was....omg...I loved the flavors of the ranch, the bacon, and then all of it cooked with thw chicken this....was part of my first and second course it was so good. 5++++ Kalbi Beef and Potatoes-I liked the potatoes but the kalbi beef was kind of tough and I didn't care for the sauce they used. 2 stars Pasta Primavera-This was good I loved the pasta,the sauce, and the vegetables in it was a very yummy dish. 4 stars Sugar Free Chocolate Mousse cake- This was a heavenly dessert it wasn't thick it was light and creamy this was a delicious dessert that had chocolate bits on top. 5++ Chocolate Cake-I loved how moist this cake was and there was some whip cream on the plate with it the flavors were so good. 5 stars Everything that my husband and I ate was very delicious, well prepared and our server was totally awesome!!!! Both of us had a really good experience and I was really happy to see so many sugar free desserts that my husband could enjoy as well so for over all experience and food I am giving them 5 stars across the board. read more

Traditions Buffet We stopped in at the Wildhorse Casino on our way through Pendleton. The menu at the Plateau restaurant was a bit fancy for what we felt up to, so we opted for the Traditions buffet. With rotating menus every day of the week, we saw that we'd hit it on a great night - fish tacos and pineapple-roasted pork loin. Our server sat us at a table with a great view of the nearby mountains, and was quick to bring out our drinks. The buffet itself offered quite a selection, with some very tasty options. The yakisoba stirfry was our favorite. The fish tacos were a bit strong in flavor, and not in a pleasant way. The roasted vegetables tasted a bit like they'd been held over in the freezer - we left them on the plate. The iced tea was a bit tasteless as well, but our server swapped it out for coffee, which was very good. Finishing off with dessert, we had a hard time picking just a couple; the selection of pies, cheesecake & bread pudding was extensive. I really enjoyed the blueberry compote, and my wife couldn't get enough of the triple-layer chocolate fudge brownies. The best part of the experience was watching the semis coming down from Deadman's Pass - what s nailbiter on a snowy trek! We wished we had time to catch a movie in the theatre, but needed to get back on the road & on our way west. I'd definitely come back on my next trip through. read more

Why are buffet waitresses as old and crusty as the fried chicken they serve? She was super nice... But she probably had just smoked a pack on her break. I agree with the other reviewers. Meager selection. Not very tasty. Over cooked prime rib. Weird and gloopy sides like Mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes. Best bet is the Chinese food. I have been three times in a year's period... however I stopped going after I was harassed by an old Indian who got mad cause I wouldn't give him a ride home (I used Valet) and he badgered and pestered me the whole time I was waiting for my car... but that wasn't the only reason, they have beggars who walk the parking lot trying to get people to give them a few bucks so they could get on the next bus because they were a 'few dollars short" Security here is Lax and you're pretty much own your own and vulnerable to the beggars and drunken Indians who want to remind you to not forget about them.... read more

When visiting any casino, I think that trying out the buffet there is almost as automatic as playing on the slot machines. So last night at Wildhorse Casino in Pendleton, dinnertime meant a visit to their Traditions Buffet. Their special carved meat of the night was roast pork. It tasted OK but I would have liked some sort of chunky apple sauce (or any kind of sauce) to accompany it. Some of the other items I tried were baked cod with Alfredo sauce, beef stroganoff, BBQ pork ribs, and hashed brown casserole. My friend also had some freshly prepared pasta from their "pasta station" and a few steamed mussels. All these items were just OK and not exceptionally tasty in any way. However, I did think their dessert selection was pretty good. I really liked the hot berry cobbler which I topped with soft ice cream, and the chocolate mousse with whipped cream was perfectly light and delicious. The price for the dinner buffet was $15.95 which is about average among other casino buffets in Oregon and Washington. So, overall, I guess everything about their buffet (except the berry cobbler and chocolate mousse!) can be described in one word. . .average. read more

Came on a Saturday night and they had an abundance of ribs tonight, friendly service and reasonable $15 price tag.

Stopped here on our way home and was sorely disappointed. The food was old and gross. Thier were flies everywhere. The person that took my money had no muscles in her face or hated her job. Not sure which one cause she couldn't smile at all. Our server was a sweet woman who was very helpful and nice. This place is definitely not worth the money I spent. This is one of the worst quality and choice buffets I've ever been to. Not a lot of choice for food at this medium sized casino. They said 7 restaurants, I counted 3: Buffet, cafe counter, and bar. Fancy 2nd floor restaurant was closed. $14+ was not cheap for this quality, and I feel really guilty for eating it, while not getting any great enjoyment for cheating on my healthy eating habits! read more

Shrimp was really good & other breakfast item good - cheese blintzes, custom made omelettes, bacon....But other food like chicken & country fried steak was dried out. Nice selection of desserts. Service was not good at all. Our server was less than friendly and even complained about being tired. And once we had our drinks and she never came back to check until we were finished eating. Then she sent somebody over to refill coffee but never even asked if we wanted more water or lemonade. I've had much better service at other casinos that's for sure. read more

The staff is very very friendly and helpful. The food is mostly bland with the exception of some cold salads and dessert. They have removed their soft serve ice cream!! We are on a trip from St Louis to Astoria Oregon and this is the 3rd casino buffet we have eaten at. It was by far the best and also the most expensive at $24.95. It included seafood and steak. King crab, snow crab, oysters in the half shell, peel and eat shrimp to name a few of the dishes. Cobbler with ice cream to top it off and I was over full. No way could you get all this for twice the price. Simply scrumptious. read more

July 4, 20017 at 6L30PM for dinner. I have been here about 3 or 4 times before and it is generally it and miss in regards to quality, but this time was especially bad. 1. BBQ steak dry and like hard leather, even tried one when they came out fresh, also they use a generic BBQ sauce. 2. BBQ pork ribs...not tender and still using generic BBQ sauce. 3. Stuffed cabbage the outside of the roll was excellent good flavor the draw back in was the beef stuffing with rice..flavorless tasked a little like sawdust. Italian assuage cannelloni more like a a manacotti pasta filled with fried sausage and sauce and a little cheese no other flavor really boring. The server was good and came around at intervals to bus the table and to refill your drink. I really cannot understand is that when you go in you pay first and they ask you if you want to leave a tip and a suggested amount. Why would anyone tip first, before receiving service. read more

Luckily you don't go to a buffet for service. Both times I have been here I had gotten my first plate of food and eaten it all before receiving my drink. In fact I'm still waiting for my drink as I write this review. As far as the food, it's hit or miss. One day it's excellent the next just ok.. We went to the breakfast bigger yesterday and it was very good and well priced. I went back for seconds so did my wife. The waitress was very prompt and very nice to our group. We had dinner here on April 26, 2015. The buffet was rather limited, but plenty for us to choose from. The cream of potato soup was wonderful. There was a section of meats, vegetables and lots of salad. The dessert choices were great..lots of no sugar added to choose from as well..Very clean sms no smoke odor! Oh my goodness! I used to really enjoy eating here, but that was a long time ago! Tonight the food was especially awful. The fried chicken looked as if they had just plucked it....lots of little pin feathers which tell you it wasn't fried to a nice golden color at all. The prime rib (?) was scarce, the bbq ribs were overcooked and the sauce way too sweet, and the only other meat dish was popcorn shrimp. The rest of the buffet consisted of mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, Alfredo stuffed shells, piorgies in a cream sauce, and stuffed cabbage. A couple of tasteless pizzas, and some over cooked veggies. The dessert selection was decent and the service/wait staff was very efficient which is why I gave this review a one star. The first negative review I've ever given. If I don't like a place, I just don't go back...I don't bash it. I just hope someone in charge sees this and makes some changes. Like I said....it was once a decent place to eat. read more
