Although I am doing conventional IVF treatment, people have recommended me to give acupuncture a try. It is a sensitive subject, and Maura has a way to be direct yet caring. I have been seeing her on a weekly basis for the past month and cannot be any more happy about finding her. She also have very flexible schedule (I come in at 7:30am) and wants to meet my needs at all times. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs acupuncture treatment.

DOES NOT ADDRESS OR UNDERSTAND THE PATIENTS SHE CLAIMS TO TREAT…read more As a young woman, I was excited to find a practitioner who specializes in treating the issues we often face. Instead of finding that, I found a practitioner who embodies the attitudes that perpetuate the inequalities of the contemporary healthcare industry. Additionally, her paperwork system is concerning from a liability standpoint. Went in to get acupuncture for ADHD and gut issues. Maura missed my call, and did not call back until the late evening that day. She did not take down my info, and did not provide her email. Instead, she asked me to use the email link on her website so that she could email me the intake forms. The link did not work, and I attempted to contact her about the issue, but had no response. On the morning of my appointment, I got a text from her asking for the email. if she can text me, I assume she has the technological capability to take down my email and send me my forms myself. she finally sent me the email, which was very informal. we had discussed payment previously, and was left with the impression that I could pay with a debit card. the acupuncture was fine. I have had multiple practitioners, and she's competent. but, she was very cold, adrupt, and unwelcoming. after the session, she told me to leave the money or check in the bowl, and I apologized for the misunderstanding. I went to find cash, which took about 10 minutes due to the location of the nearest ATM. afterwards, I gave her the cash, and she was upset with me for keeping her so late, and said I needed to read better. She was treating me for ADHD, which is a lack of executive function. as a result, I struggle with coordinating things, and can miss the small details. her rude dismissal of me and my condition completely erased any of the benefits the session. So, I paid $125 for Maura to make me feel bad about myself.

Kate has a unique and creative approach to acupuncture, incorporating massage therapy into the work, with an overall goal of releasing tension and increasing ease. She brought me into true relief from the pain and helped me re-establish full range of motion in my shoulder. Though the initial injury is healed, I have stayed because she is truly fantastic at maintaining overall well being. Incredibly grateful.

He has a great personality, and I like talking to him (okay - I like talking to almost anyone, but especially Jonah, because he's so fun and interesting!). He is a genuinely GOOD person. I feel very safe with him, and I look forward to our sessions twice a week.

Love me some Ruth Knill!…read more I started going to Ruth about 1 year ago for significant pain (mostly in knees and elbows) due to arthritis. Previously, the course of action for dealing with the pain and swelling had been to take a prescription NSAID for an extended period of time (2-3 months) and/or a steroid. I refused to go back to that which is why I turned to acupuncture. I knew from the initial consultation that this was going to be a good thing, and I am pleased to report that I am essentially pain-free! (Knock on wood). Not only does acupuncture work, but I seriously think I would pay Ruth just to hang out with her. She genuinely cars about her patients and I always enjoy chatting with her. She is so warm and nurturing. I feel like her personality alone is healing. Just being in her presence is therapeutic. And, oh by the way, she is really funny. Cracks me up. Even though I've finished my treatment course with Ruth I am definitely going to return for "maintenance." I should note, I am a HUGE pansy and was absolutely terrified of the needles. If you told me 2 years that I would be going to acupuncture and actually enjoy it I would have thought you were crazy. I'm still a little tweaked out by the whole idea but Ruth really made me feel at ease. Give her a try!

I honestly would have written a review years ago but I was afraid of her becoming too popular. You'll know what I mean once you begin treatment, too.
