This is quite the amazing grocery store. It's got lots of character. I have some amazing fruit and vegetable section along with an amazing meat department. It is recently been expanded and we're very impressed with the expansion after really really friendly and they have a good selection in their LCBO outlet area. That's where I would call a cottage store. The only area that's missing is an aisle with laundry detergent that's not but other than that we love going up here because they are open more frequently than other grocery stores. The only days they are closed for December and January 1 so if you're everything else is closed, you can always check the website for their hours and most likely they will be open we'd definitely go there every every every so often whenever a wrap in Port period. and also don't forget when you're at the meat counter, they offer me to either be frozen packed individually or not so if you wanna buy a large selection of meat and want them prepped for your freezer, just ask them they'll do it they will also cut any type of pork or would have it cause we really like pork cut is very thin read more

Omg. I've lived for over 11 years in port Perry. This place has grown from a small meat and frozen food store to an epic quality butcher and homemade specialty foods. Size has probably tripled in the last 10 years. Lots, and mean lots of made in store items. Try the HUGE kabobs. At least a 1/2 dozen flavours at all times. Treats like red pepper poppers made in store. Huge meat counter, sandwiches, home made sauces like really really good tzatziki. This is a grocery store unlike any other. Go for it read more

Today I went to the Trading Post out in Port Perry They were open for family day today They are located north of the town of Port Perry on Simcoe St Their set up has a country store feel to it They sell farm quality produce and meats There is a huge frozen food section with a wide variety of foods from appetizers and desserts to meats and veggies They also have a wide array of artisan foods from pasta, sauces, and spices It's more on the pricier side but the quality you are getting is top notch and good food They also sell craft wine and beer there as well, and Yeti brand coolers, tumblers, etc. I ended up getting some Great Canadian sausages from there along with a can of craft beer from Brock St Brewery and some K-cups which they sell individually for $0.99 What this place is also known for is their corn beef sandwich on a Kaiser You get a choice of mustard They serve it daily from 11-2 each day for lunch They stack this sandwich to the tilt It is so tasty and the meat is so good Service is friendly as always there I would definitely recommend to stop off at this place if you're looking for some good quality farm food for that special occasion read more

Don't go hungry! Bring bags, you will need them. They have fresh produce with great pricing. All of the frozen meats and dishes are so hard to resist. We got a few seasoned salmon filets, an apple/bacon pork tenderloin, steak pies and a lasagna. Probably more, but the selection will have you making hard decisions! Will be back! read more

I took my aunt and uncle for a drive to Port Perry and we stopped in at The Trading Post. Wow! This is my kind of store! The selection and quality of their products really appeals to me. They have farm fresh produce, amazing fresh meats and seafood, gourmet sauces and seasonings, coffee, wine, friendly staff, and so much more! They have a great deal on a Corned Beef Sandwich - only $5.00 with the pickles!!! They were not shy with the meat! That's my kind of meat/bread ratio! It was really good and not salty. Great grocery store with a farm fresh indoor market feel. You can get pretty much anything you want food-wise here. The only negative I have is that calling it a trading post is a bit deceptive. I was expecting more than just food (maybe some antique and souvenirs). read more

Good selection of high quality fresh beef with some fesh veal, lamb, chicken and fish. Lots of frozen meat and fish as well. Also some prepared dishes and salads and cheese. Lots of sauces, oils and vinegars. Not cheap but we have never been disappointed by the quality. read more
