I've been wanting to check this place out! It was nice, but not exactly what I had in mind.
When I venture out of the city to a place like this, I'm not only going for the fresh fruits and veggies, most of the time it's the experience of getting out of town, into some fresh(er) air and a taste of the country life.
While the shelves are well stocked, and you will probably find what you were looking for, I would argue it's perhaps a bit too well stocked. What I mean is that there were lots of various products from all over the world, which in theory is great, however if I wanted that, I would go to Whole Foods, not a country farm market. I would've loved to see more local, home/handmade goods. Something else that felt out of place is that behind the small building that holds the market and the offices, there was a giant warehouse looking building, that definitely reinforced that this was more of a big business than I had in mind.
In good news, the pies and pastries that I bought were tasty, and the prices were very fair.
I would recommend that you check this place out, however don't expect a small, family-run market. Perhaps that mistake is on me! read more
