I did my research and finally called Traders Point Dental to see if there were taking new patients. I also had the chance to explain to them what I had been through with my last Dentist. They truly listened to me, were very nice, ready to help me moving forward as a new client and promised me that I would not be treated as I had at my last Dentist. I was able that same day to make an appointment just a few weeks out for a teeth cleaning. They sent me an email confirming my appointment as soon as when got off the phone. However with all that is happening in the world right now I am not able to go to my appointment. But the Office called me just the other day to let me know they were following all guidelines and regulations in place right now. That they wanted to keep the patients and office all completely safe. They even expressed that once they were able to be back in the office they would be rescheduling all of their patients. I am so thankful I have found such a professional, safe and wonderful new Dentist office. read more

I actually waited about a year to make this post. In my opinion, dentists should not be reviewed until you've seen them at least three times. First the atmosphere and comfort of the office is top notch. Even better when they moved a little further north and slightly more east. The receptionist and assistants are all friendly and knowledgable. This is especially helpful when dealing with dental plans and copays with the insurance company. Other dental offices will make you pay up front if your insurance is known to be slow. This office has not. The hygienists and assistants are very thorough when they explain or do things. Chandra and Mallory have been the assistants/hygienists I have had so far and they not only were extremely professional and friendly, but they were knowledgeable and down to earth which put me right at ease. Dr. Kwon and Mallory (dental assistant) were absolutely phenomenal. I went in to get two of my wisdom teeth taken out and a crown put on. Mallory was able to answer any and all questions I had regarding my recovery and helped me feel at peace during the procedure. Mackenzie (patient coordinator) was also extremely helpful before, during, and after my appointment. Kenzie was able to answer all my billing questions including an insurance dilemma on my behalf. I came to Trader's Point Dental randomly 4 years ago on a groupon because I was a contractor and didn't have insurance. Fast forward four years and I don't even live in Indy and I still come to Dr. Kwon and the team at Trader's Point, that's how much I like them. You name it, I've had it done...cleanings, fillings, crowns...I have weak tooth enamel. I love the whole team from the receptionists, to the technicians, billing admin and of course Dr. Kwon. I have been a total of three times to Trader's Point Dental. They asked me to review them. What gets me about dentistry these days is the commercialization of dental practices, i.e., myriad of chairs and minions doing what dentists used to do at one time. This is not the case at this practice: the right number of qualified personnel, i.e., X ray techs, dental hygienist, dental assistant, the main dentist (Dr. Kwon) and the reception staff. I can vouch for all dental personnel working there to be professional ,to be not only knowledgeable but totally positive and charming in the delivery of services and patient treatment. Dr. Kwon is empathetic and remembers little things about his patients that no one else would bother with. That makes him extremely personable, which adds to my big surprise at the outcome of my last visit to this dental practice. I had a molar extracted by Dr. Kwon. He informed that me he left a little piece of the tooth in the cavity and that my body would absorb it. Little did I know 2 months later, when I was informed that I had a sizable part of the one of the three roots for that particular molar. Was I aware of that? I was shown the root as it came out of my mouth, and my reaction was total disbelief at the large size of the "little piece of tooth left there for my body to absorb." It was indeed the major part of the third root! To make matters worse, the recommended crown on another tooth was unnecessary as per the dentist working on me. This is the 2nd dentist who has wanted to put a crown on that tooth. I was grateful to my own endodontist then who also said that the tooth was fine and did not need a crown. Apparently, there's something to be said for making hay while the sun shines, because the opportunity was there. I just happened to be lucky and getting second opinions. I wrote Dr. Kwon about my concerns. He chose to ignore my e mail and did not answer. And, no, I will not going back to Trader's Point Dental. Lesson learned: Go to an oral surgeon for extractions! Do not be fooled by the marketing and the smiley minions working for the practice. It's the dentist, the one who really counts! Bedside manner is really unimportant when delivered services are flawed. I would prefer a grouch that really knows what he/she is doing than one who asks about my new dog and leaves the largest part of a root in its place! read more

I found Dr. Kwon through Yelp and reviews for dental implants. After consulting with two other specialist, Dr kwon and his associates made me feel the most comfortable with first impression. The office is clean, modern and very high tech. Dr. Kwon gave me an honest/sincere recommendation and never geared me toward the higher option. I have to note that I am highly afraid of going to the dentist and have to take anxiety pills when I know I am getting a shot. Although the pills helped, Dr Kwon, explanation of everything he did also eased my visit. I hated what needed to be done but Dr Kwon and all his associates were wonderful. First I'd like to start off by saying that I've never had any problem going to dentists or doctors, but like any other person there's always a few what if's in the back of my mind. This particular appointment, which also happened to be my first, was a consultation for my future wisdom teeth removal. I got lost on the way to the office, called the front desk, and the associate that answered was very kind and understanding. As soon as I got there I hurried to do my paperwork and was called back as soon as I was done. I had x-rays taken and then was brought to a room where I waited for Dr. Sang. I was asked if I'd like to have the wisdom teeth extracted that same day. At first I laughed thinking that it was a joke, but after the assistant had explained to me that today would be a great day to remove them, I agreed to go forward and have them extracted. Dr. Sang and the kind assistant that stayed by my side were so kind and attentive to me. They made sure to explain everything before and during the procedure, which was so important for me to hear. They made sure I was comfortable and regularly asked if I was doing alright or if I needed anything. I can confidently say that this was one of the most relaxing dentist appointments I've had...and that's saying quite a bit considering I had my wisdom teeth removed. After such a wonderful experience, I can't see myself going anywhere other than Traders Point Dental for future dental work. I have been to many dentist around indianapolis. I chose this one bc it's right next to my work. I can't believe I didn't go here sooner. They have a high end facility along with a super friendly staff. All the ladies in the office are terrific and always ask me interesting questions instead of the standard "how are you". The dentist is very personable and he explained in easy terms what was going on. They have tvs in the patient rooms on the wall and ceiling. I've been going to Trader's Point off and on for several years and they've always taken really good care of me. I've gotten everything from deep cleanings to cavities filled to major cosmetic stuff like veneers and implants. They're also not at all judgmental or anything if you have bad teeth and need help. My 8 year old son had two cavities filled today and the procedure was amazingly fast and painless for him. He was very anxious about having his first cavity but Dr. Kwon and his staff kept him ease and about 30 minutes later they were done. I'm normally very picky about whom I allow put their hands in my mouth. Jenny started out as my hygienist and had nothing but satisfaction with her. The visits are timely and on schedule, the lounge is comfortable, and every one of the staff is polite and professional. To my surprise today, Jen was no longer there but Chandra was going to be cleaning my teeth. I was hesitant at first, but she did a great job, just as I've received in the past. On a side note, I work in the customer service industry, and they keep notes about conversations they've had with clients. It was nice to kind of pick up right where I left off. Found this office on yelp and was very pleased with not only how quickly they got me in there on short notice but how pleasant every staff member was. They took digital x rays, which was different but nice. After looking at what was needed they not only gave me a break down of price but also a treatment plan for some other things I need to eventually have done down the road. They took pictures of my teeth and put them on the tv in the room to show me, life size, future issues with some of my teeth. Dr Kwon was very informative and transparent as he worked. Explained to me what he was doing and when to expect pressure. I was told to expect about an hour to remove the damaged tooth and do the bone graft and he was done much sooner than expected. Over all I was very pleased with their services and will definitely refer them to others. Oh! Dr. Kwon spends time with each of his patients, and not a couple minutes, a significant amount of time. He walks you through everything that needs to be done to maintain a healthy smile! He also checks after your hygienist has cleaned your teeth that they were properly cleaned and inspects for gum disease. I love Traderspoint Dental. Dr. Kwon is an awesome dentist and has customer service down to a science. Besides having two TVs in every exam room (one in front of the chair and the other on the ceiling), along with beverages available in the waiting area, his hygienists always make small talk with you (How are things going? What are you up to this weekend?) in a really personal, friendly way, and then when Dr. Kwon comes in, he'll follow up on the same train of conversation (oh, I heard that you have a big trip coming up/oh so you had a lot of family come visit). I think they also take personal notes about patients in their charts so they have an idea of who you are as a person when you sit in their chair on subsequent visits.
