I always love a good Trader Joe's run. I tend to alway find whatever I need but certain things it'll have to be at the bigger chain groceries store. The layout of this store is pretty nice. Just off Santa Monica Blvd with metered street parking as well as a parking structure. It's part of a residential area just like a lot of them are lately. This visit I needed to pick up some flowers for a friend's bday. First off, I'm not sure when their delivery dates are for florals. The orchids on the other hand were a little over their prime. Pretty much all the larger size one were needing replaced. But the smaller in pots were all still pretty nice. The bundles of flowers were good. So that was nice with a good selections. Their tulips are worth it for the price. Two bundles for 12.99, that's a major deal. Also, potted plants are alway good. But besides florals, the produce are great. So many nice choices of fresh items. Pretty much everything I get has alway been great. The customer service has alway been amazing. Friendly staff which is always what is expected when you walk into Trader Joe's. Layout is nice and not too cramped. They'll do well regardless. Even if I don't have a reason to go, I'll alway walk out with something I don't need....lol... The snacks on the other hand, they're a sin that you just can't quit. read more

I really like this Trader Joe's on Santa Monica Boulevard between Fuller and Poinsettia. It's part of a condo/apartment complex that has a coffee shop, restaurant and a doggy daycare. The employees here are friendly, hard working and to true TJs form eclectic. I love that the whole place has wide aisles, clean shiny floors and is well stocked. I was looking for a snack and got prepackaged fresh green beans, red wine, PB&J Oat Bites with strawberry filling and a pizza! There was a portable sampling station. So glad that sampling the delicious Trader Joe's food is back! I love this grocery store! read more

Trader Joe's is a pretty cool store with consistent in-stock inventory and good service. This is a store where I get about a dozen or so items on a regular basis. There are some really good deals and pricing on every day products. Amazing how TJ's can keep their prices so low. Some products have to be consumed shortly after purchase, and other fresh items have a longer "shelf life." The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I can't recall ever having a bad experience at any location. It's almost like the employees enjoy working here. A cashier once told me she had three different interviews before getting an offer. Free one hour parking in the underground garage. Easy to get in and out. This location is part of an outdoor retail center with several tenants. I'm watching my new grandson in Weho and decided to take a walk with him to the local Trader Joe's. What a nice store! Very large with a great staff and wonderful selections. I was in and out with ease and purchased everything I came looking for. I walked but there appears to be ample parking. It also had a small atrium with shade trees. This location is an easy 5 stars. The staff and manager are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to help you find anything you need. The store is clean and consistently well stocked, so I rarely run into issues with items being out of stock. On top of that, parking is surprisingly easy and convenient for the area, which makes quick grocery runs super stress-free. Overall, it's one of the best Trader Joe's stores in LA. read more

Every time I go into this 8000 Sunset Boulevard Trader Joe's I hear the same thing.....we can't do anything about the dogs. Well, how about your customers? It's outrageous that any and all canines (Pitbulls, German Shepards, Standard Poodles, Alaskan Huskies to name a few) are allowed to roam the store simply because the management is afraid to ask their owners to leave them outside the door. It's a sad state of affairs when dogs are given more rights and offered consideration than patrons -- and guess what, I own one and he's not a "service" animal and because of that I leave him at home when I shop. What a pleasure to walk in and discover this Trader Joe's The first thing you notice is how big, spacious and open the aisles are It is very clean, well stocked with all good expiration dates and the patrons and the workers are nice and respectful of all Also- I do not know if it is the lighting or what but for some reason the packaging of their frozen foods seem more vibrant and more alluring than other Trader Joe's so I left with a lot more than I planned on. This is probably the sleepiest Trader Joe's I've ever been to so if you're seeking out a tranquil shopping experience where you don't get hit by a cart this is the place to be. 1. Trader Joe's and West Hollywood. I have the best experience there. They had the trick-or-treat bags I caught about 15 stores and they answered the phone with such enthusiasm and when I went to the store, they have the same enthusiasm. I have never been treated so well in a store Zion the cashier Has the best attitude. I have never been taking such good care at a store. I will drive an hour to that Trader Joe's just to have that experience again I give this Trader Joe's 10 stars I parked far away and they even took my groceries out and helped me pack them in my car. They had no biases. It just was the best experience. I love this Trader Joe's. The staff is very friendly and so convenient for me within walking distance. During this COVID crisis they have been so calm with customers. They let in 2-3 ppl at a time spray your hands if you want, carts & baskets are sanitized and give you a flower as you exit Even before this happened shelves were always stocked and clean. It's a TJs and that means it's always going to be pretty good. I've never run into the situation where there were just bare shelves, but I've never come during the peak of the pandemic. I will say that they are a little more cautious than the TJs on Vine. The staff here were very quick to make sure your distance is kept as they rang you up. I like how they organize the line here: it's one line the has you snake around their wine section and one of their staff directs you to a waiting spot for a register that seems to be moving and grooving. It really kind of beats the Thunderdome style line jumping that can happen sometimes. For a while, you couldn't pick up snacks until you were in that little staging area but they've since loosened that restriction but people are still very good about picking up chips and then moving to the queue. read more

Worst experience with a store manager! I walked into the store to return 2 sealed and in perfect condition items. There was anyone at the customer service desk so I went to the first cashier next to it. There was a person in front of me. The cashier who was the manager as well was super nice and smiley to the white guy in front of me. He acknowledged me waiting in line, but decided to walk away when he was done with the guy in front of me. I was the only one in line, in a register with no cashier. I approached a Young lady that Was passing by and told her that I needed to return something and she responded that she will ask the manager to do that for me. She goes and talks to the same cashier/manager that decided to leave a customer waiting in line and started collecting baskets. They talked and no one got back to me. The young lady walked away avoiding me. Clearly, her intention was to get the manager to help. Not her fault. I decided to ignore the incident after all I have thick skin and my mental health is more important, so I decided to go grab what I needed and do the return afterwards at least I know who the manager is : ) I do my shopping and came to the register where he is at. Again there's only another white guy in front of me that he's being so friendly with. there is another young lady helping with bagging groceries. The MANAGER noticed me in line again and quickly told the young lady "Let's switch" He walked away again to collect baskets as the young lady opened the register. I told the young lady I need to return something, she quickly calls the manager who was near by too busy collecting the baskets Guillermo! Guillermo! She has a return! He didn't respond at first, eventually he comes and snatched the items from the young lady as he gives me the side eye. The cashier sensed the whole thing, she looks uncomfortable and she starts nervously being extra nice to make up for the wrongful conduct. I still love Trader Joe's but not this one. I feel bad for the employees at this location to have that kind of management. After all I have a Job that I love and allows me to travel overseas to 14 different counties so far. Mostly Europe and never felt discriminated by my color and looks where I go. I Work with great people including my manager Who is a great role model. I never have to complain I never have to worry about the store not having enough workers or cashiers open. I LOVE THIS TRADER JOES!!!!!! We come here once a week and usually it's not that busy in the evening. Lately we haven't had to wait in line which is rare because last time the line was down the street almost to the smart and final. But anyways, they had added social distancing measures which isn't a big deal like I've seen in other Trader Joe's where Karen's are acting out. We learned in elementary how to follow arrows and signs correct? Lol but i must say sometimes it gets tricky with the one way lane when i want something on the left side but i have to be on the right. So far no altercations yet. Love how when you enter they are offering you hand sanitizer and all carts inside are clean and disinfected. When we come to TJs we really just come for snacks and seasonal items they have. Seriously no one has better snacks than TJs (don't @ me) i love how when you're in one aisle looking at frozen veggies they have some delicious snack a little bit above the shelf like come on!!! I'm trying to be healthy and the temptation is right there. Of course i give in every time Parking is in an underground garage or there's street meter. We're never there more than an hour so we don't pay. I like this parking better than the TJs on vine. This one has a lot more parking and less crowded. The staff here are great! Super friendly and helpful when you're looking for something. I never know the correct names to what I'm looking for but they always seem to know what I'm asking for. As for the bagging, it's interesting lol if you bring your own bags they put all your stuff back in the cart. Once you exit there's a station on the left side with a table where you bag your own groceries. This is my regular Trader Joe's. Today I shopped here for the first time since the COVID-19 crisis got serious, and major props to them for doing a great job. The line to get in is orderly, and they've marked where to stand with colored tape on the ground to ensure proper social distancing. I waited just under 25 minutes, which passed quickly as I chatted with the very kind, friendly young woman ahead of me. It was all civilized and calm. When you get to the front, the doors are monitored, so as people leave, new people are allowed in, thus keeping the number of people in the store controlled and giving everyone plenty of room. As you walk in, they assure you that all baskets/carts have been wiped down, and they offer you a spray of hand sanitizer if you'd like it. I was looking for some organic chicken and ground turkey, and they were well stocked. Also picked up my regular Greek yogurt for breakfast, a couple cheeses, a couple packages of pasta and some of those yummy Trader Joe's dark chocolate peanut butter cups--gotta have dessert options in the quasi-apocalypse. Checkout stands were spaced well, and it all was seamless--and on the way out they gave me a flower-to-be (which is now in water awaiting bloom). As most local Hawaiians do when visiting a State that Trader Joe's is at, we often take a side trip to pick up some snacks, groceries or gifts for omiyage. On the day that we were exercising at the nearby Poinsettia Recreation Center and Playground, we wandered into the newly completed Avalon West Hollywood Apartment building. One of this apartment complex's amenities happens to be this newly opened Trader Joe's. We were struck by the cleanliness, well-stocked shelves and spaciousness of this store. Also, because of its newness, the store was relatively empty...which was a welcome sight as most TJs are bustling with customers. While roaming about with our cart, we were approached by store manager, Josh, who we chatted with for a few minutes. We expressed our wishes, er, dreams for having Trader Joe's in Hawai'i. I'm sure that if Trader Joe's ever opened in Hawai'i, there would be a lot of people volunteering to come in to train the local workforce. Anyway, we made our purchases and walked out happy to find this new store and all of its wonderful products. We're looking forward to returning here if we're in the area, again. read more

It's hard to go wrong at Trader Joe's so I don't normally review one, but this one takes the cake. It's my local Trader Joe's and I go every week, and the staff are just the best. They'll remember you, say hi, always friendly, it feels like an actual local community spot. They also are great at restocking, even if I come later in the day I can find a lot of what I'm looking for. It has higher ceilings and is organized well so the inside feels not too small and stuffy too. read more

Everyone here for years is exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to help you. Their prices are soooooo refreshingly affordable. They have a good vegan section and organic vegetables/fruit. During the pandemic they were one of the few places that treated customers with kindness and did not force anyone to wear a mask if they didn't want to. I love this place! I came here just to get a cake for my daughter. I ended up getting her a pack of cup cakes and we started to lol around and realized they have a lot of things. So my husband got carrot cake cup cakes and they were very delicious! We came back the next day and I got a pineapple from here and it was super sweet that I came back the next day and again super sweet! I realized this is not a coincidence they do have the best fruits here. We also like their sweets. It's a small store but my daughter likes coming here with me since she can walk around it's not too crowded. The parking is below and you go up the elevator and go inside. Parking is free for 1 hour. I know the photos don't look live a 5 Star review!!! That was not their fault at all, it simply depicts the panic and craziness that was going on all over our community during this time in history. The magic I want to share is how calm, cool, warm and friendly all the the Crew Members were! They restocked as fast as they could, they had the lines organized. Once it was your turn at the register- it was otherworldly, they smiled and asked how you were just as if it was any other day no matter how many jars of mayonnaise you were oddly purchasing. Well, I'm back in the city. I don't even want to think about this store now! Trader Joe's in Manhattan is just miserable. Upper West Side is the worst. So bad, in fact, that I still haven't ventured to the one in the 30s. Most of the new LA locations are cool: Westwood, West LA by Bundy etc. Santa Barbara's first location, on Milpas, is kinda grungy but it's fine. The better one is De La Vina, a block and a half from my old apartment which now is being rented out to someone for two or so years till I return in the fall of 2020 to write memoir. But the Hollywood location is like the Barney's of Trader Joe's. I bought Tullemore Dew for so little. New York liquor lobby is evil and you can't buy booze at TJ or Costco. There is no Bevmo in the city. read more

Wanna give an extra special shoutout to this particular location with handling Covid19! This was by far the absolute best shopping experience I have had during the whole lockdown & quite possibly the best shopping experience in general. They are ON IT. Everything was completely stocked when I went & everyone waited in line patiently. The 6 foot markers seemed generous & there was an employee outside telling everyone all the details we needed to know. They only let in a few people at a time & it is not crowded, not rushed, not overwhelming. They hand you sanitized carts & give you hand sanitizer once you're inside. When you check out they give you a free flower. Every employee was kind & upbeat. This is NOT common practice at every Trader Joe's & I wanted to commend this location for being so amazing. The difference between this location & the one on Hoover at USC is astonishing. I will only be coming here for the rest of lockdown! Can't praise this location enough!! __________________ I don't live in the area but whenever my Trader Joe's is closed in Fairfax & I need a quick late night grocery run I come here. I'm sure it gets crazy during the day, but I've only ever been here between 9 & 10pm & it's a dream. Parking is garage parking & it's always easy to find a spot. The store is always borderline empty considering how packed they normally are & I can get everything I need in 15 minutes or less. The employees are all out loading new food & cleaning since they are about to close so sometimes it can be weird like shopping around them as a lot of times they won't move out of the way for you, but the plus side is some very cute guys work at this location lol. Want to shout out this specific Trader Joe's location and its amazing team! I shopped here yesterday at what (hopefully) is the peak of the COVID-19 crisis. I really didn't want to leave the house - but unfortunately I desperately needed groceries. I got here and saw the line stretching around the corner of the block. It was calm and well-organized, with tape markers on the ground indicating where to stand. I got in line thinking it would take over an hour, but surprisingly it only took ~20 minutes. And TJ;s employees would frequently explain everything that's going on, including: - Shoppers would not be allowed in without some sort of mask - If you want to use a reusable bag, you will have to bag it yourself outside - They are not charging for brown paper bags - Seniors and at-risk shoppers have a dedicated time from 8am-9am to shop - Only around 25 people are allowed inside the store at once I'm normally on edge every time I go to public places during this pandemic, but it was really reassuring that Trader Joe's is taking all the necessary precautions to ensure everyone's safety. I was also surprised at how neat and orderly everything inside was. Shelves were stocked, people were very respectful, and the team members did a great job at helping everyone navigate the new processes. I've heard horror stories of the craziness at other grocery stores - thank goodness that wasn't happening here. I managed to find everything I need, including some things that have been tough to get a hold of (eggs, flour, milk, etc.). Ended up with (hopefully) 2+ weeks worth of groceries. Hopefully I won't need to go grocery shopping anytime soon, but if I do I'll be back to this store. FYI there's also a free underground parking lot! read more

Wow! One of the first TJ's that has a parking lot that is not a complete crap show, and they had everything in stock I was searching for! Okay, I know stores occasionally run out of products, but I was on a mission to find these ridiculous white truffle potato chips that were here one visit and gone the next. At a different location, the girl told me they were 'seasonal'. FALL JUST STARTED, HOW THE HECK ARE THEY GONE WITHIN A MONTH? Anyway, I took it the hard way and bought some other snacks. Well at this location, I walked by just to see what was on offer and holy **** there were freshly stocked bags. As in, the poor girl was still stocking and I reached in and grabbed two bags as if we were all fighting over them (no one was, it was just me I admit). Parking here is not validated, but one hour is free. And the parking lot wasn't terrible like most of the locations! I did get nervous leaving, as you scan your ticket and I thought I dropped it into limbo, panicking for a second when a guy (not sure if he's paid to just sit there in the driveway) said go ahead as the gate went up.
