We spend part of the year out here, and this Trader Joe's has quietly become one of those places we end up at without much thought. It's just easy. You go in thinking you'll grab a few things and get out. That never happens. Somehow you're walking back to the car with a bag full of stuff you didn't plan on buying but are now very glad you did. The store itself hits that perfect middle ground. Not massive, not cramped. You can actually move around without feeling like you're navigating an airport terminal. Everything's clean, shelves are stocked, and it's laid out in a way that doesn't make you work for it. What keeps pulling us back is the mix. You've got your basics, sure, but then there's all the random, slightly offbeat stuff that makes it interesting. It's the kind of place where you try something new almost by accident and it ends up becoming a regular buy. The staff here are consistently great. Friendly, relaxed, and helpful if you need them, but they're not hovering or trying to rush you through. Checkout is usually quick, which I appreciate more than I probably should. Only real knock, and it's almost expected at this point, is the parking lot can be a bit of a circus. But once you're inside, it's smooth sailing. It's a grocery run that doesn't feel like a chore, which is probably the highest compliment you can give a place like this. Easy five stars. read more

While not a usual at this location, I recently popped in to buy a potted plant in support of the opening of a new local business as well as perusing the Valentine's Day goodies they had out. You know I had to get myself a little treat while in here. Don't forget to grab one of their small (think lunch bag size) reusable insulated bags. I got one in lavender. It's a spacious store with all the great product we have grown to love and appreciate. Get your snacks, fresh produce, and all the seasonal items here. Ive always loved coming here the flower selection is great but usually leave my 3 year old with special needs at home. He ended up joining me today and we found out they have a cart with a firefly chair in it so cool and we were able to make a 2 minute run in into an enjoyable comfortable shopping experience for us both! I love this place so so much! It's a goldmine for excellent products and fair pricing. My daughter and I love buying flowers from here -- lots of options at great pricing! Lots of organic options and a plethora of variety (that are actually good) in their frozen section. Employees are always kind and courteous. Everything is always well-stocked. They provide paper bags but definitely buy a reusable bag there for your groceries! I always bring my reusable bags to pack my groceries home. It is environmentally friendly and it's appreciated by retailers. Today at noon, at check out #2, I was handing two male crew members my shopping bags. It wasn't busy and a cashier was packing for the other. I requested for the frozen items in the plastic TJ bag. He replied with "Bics!" I said "Pardon?" He repeated "Bics, bics! That's what they say in Australia!" He said this again and put my frozen foods in the wrong bag. The main cashier pointed out this to him and I said kindly "It's okay. No worries." The bagging crew member mumbled and turned around not bothering to say anything else to me. Strange! read more

This is my regular Trader Joe's stop. It's a bit smaller than some of the other stores, but I like the quiet neighborhood it is located in. You really can't go wrong with planning a dinner night on the fly with Trader Joe's. Even though I have my usual go-to's that I pick up, I still feel my friends always find way cooler stuff at Trader Joe's. I really do strive hard to be a better Trader Joe's shopper. I love their seasonal items. They like to roll out the carpet for the holidays. If you like pumpkin everything products in the Fall, this is the place to go. Trader Joe's has been around over fifty years and opened their first store in Pasadena. I love their tiki theme and how environment friendly their products are. I follow a couple of Instagram accounts that give you ideas on what to shop for. I even have a cookbook with meal ideas that use only Trader Joe's products as the ingredients. You can make a pretty good charcuterie board using a variety of their affordable cheeses. Flowers and wine are good pick-ups too. Even though it is no longer $2, "Two Buck Chuck" is still a solid affordable wine. read more

Trader Joe's organic blackberries $5.29 for a 12 oz. $5.99 for an 18 oz. Michoacana versus Driscoll's. I like to walk around Trader Joe's and see what they have. They usually have some unique item. Occasionally I splurge buy something because it seems a little more exotic than I am used to seeing at the standard grocery store. They usually have a wooden cute shaving that makes the store seem a little more upscale or rustic to me. Sometimes the store can be quite busy. The prices are usually a bit more expensive for being organic or something unusual. I don't go to Trader Joe's as often as I go to other places to get my groceries. One time I got a carrot cake cookie that was good years back. I really thought it smelled spicy and flavourful just in time for the upcoming holiday season at the time. read more

The female cashiers at this location are the most dour, sour and unfriendly bunch I have ever experienced. They make shopping at this location depressing. One long-haired bleach blonde cashier just stood there looking at us after she rang up the items, not even offering a bag. So when I took a bag to put my groceries in and had to bag them myself, she just stood there and gave me a death look. A second older cashier with dirty blonde-dyed hair had the most sour look on her face when she rang us up and when I asked her a question about a product she just stared at me without responding. I love buying my groceries here. This location is smaller than the other ones I've been too, but it's a perfect size market for me. They carry a variety of their signature items, plus produce, dairy, wine and more. They also have local organic products. I had found everything here for my charcuterie board for great prices. I like the fact that what they carry here seemed very limited, but also very fresh and kept well stocked of their items in stores. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was greeted once I walked in this establishment, that's a plus to me. I come back here, because of the customer service and everything above. Love this store, I usually go here for their snack section. The first time I visited till date the store maintains the same atmosphere. Its clean, people are helpful and the varied selection they have is amazing. My friend first introduced me to their ice cream bars (Raspberry and vanilla cream) and its my favorite. I always go there to get some. This time tried their short bread and crispy cookies. Oh man! they are heaven I highly recommend these two snacks. Stop by Trader Joe's today and bought some chicken to add to quesadillas for this weeks dinner but I didn't look to see that it expires today. This isn't the first time, it's honestly happened not too long ago but since the holidays were in full swing I gave a pass. Please keep an eye out for dates yelpers! Moving on, The frozen food selection is the best and so less "junky" then you'll find in other major grocers and I always leave with way more than what I planned on purchasing. I LOVE Trader Joe's so much and have been shopping there for 10+ years. I have been to several locations all over the Phoenix area and stores in other states! I love the products just as much as I love the staff that works there. They have a section of "new items" and that is always changing. So fun to try out new things and if you don't like it or something wasn't right with any of their products just take your receipt back and they'll credit you! The Ahwatukee store is my personal favorite and the employees are the best! The employees at the sample counter are always kind and love talking to customers. The guy that does the wine tasting is hilarious and remembers his customers. The cashiers are so friendly and will take their time talking to you about their day and also about products you're buying. What else can you say about TJ's? There's a reason people talk about it like they're in a cult. My faves: dark chocolate covered almonds with turbinado sugar & sea salt, frozen mango/vanilla bars, dried mango, vanilla almond granola clusters, dried bananas (later put in said clusters), prosciutto, Rosemary Italian crackers, mahi mahi burgers, coconut crusted cashews, Sardinian thin crackers, pita crackers, green chile chicken burritos, many types of trail mix, any flower bunch, green tea mints, orange flavored sparkling water. In a perfect world they'd have some bad-for-you-products with more preservatives-better buns for hot dogs & burgers comes to mind, sugary jelly, but I understand why this isn't found here. I'd rather get my cheeses, beer, and wine from elsewhere, and for some reason the chicken often has a weird texture, but the good far surpasses the minimally bad. Very friendly and helpful staff at this branch, never had anything other than smiles on check out, and they've watched my son grow and always say hi and talk to him. Very efficient check outs, surprisingly never a long line, even on weekends. Makes my waking up before they open to avoid the crowds TJs experience in Union Square NYC way back when a distant memory. read more
