Value, value, value. Great private label brands and NOT a hint of trans fats or high fructose corn syrup ANYWHERE! Joe, you got it figured out! I love this place! Apparently so do the happy employees. read more

It's Trader Joe's. Great good, good prices, with tons of organic options if that's your cup of tea. Everyone who works here is exceedingly nice, almost bordering on potentially obnoxious fake nice, although I've never really been able to put my finger on whether that's the case or not. I guess they could just be totally stoked to see someone like me aimlessly wandering about the store. That's reasonable, right? I mean, I am pretty cool, I'd be excited to talk to me too if I saw myself putzing around a frozen aisle. Anyway, the parking lot sucks, is at a weird angle, and it seems like even the "close" spots because of the way it is designed are weirdly far away. But, whatever. Also, here's a tip- If you need to go north on Washington, drive all the way around the parking lot and exit via turning right on Gartner so you can turn with the light. Turning left out of the Washington street entrance can be a major pain. Be sure to try both the salsa and the pizza sauce in the cooler area near the produce. Both are out of this world. read more

What a great store. They have some of the best produce around at reasonable prices. Some may think its a little too pricey, but for organic food it isn't too bad. I love their little sampling area in the back. They usually have at least a coffee to try which is always great, and sometimes they have some type of tea. The food they have out for sampling is amazing too. Numerous times I've tried the food and bought all the ingredients to make it. This place also has some of the best employees I've seen. They are always helpful and enthusiastic. When checking out at the register the cashiers always greet you and make friendly small talk. read more

Love Trader Joe's. Favorite place to shop for good food at low prices. This location has the nicest people working here, and everyone is so willing to help. Only thing I can complain about is that it's in such a good location, it can get so busy, with lines getting long at times. It's in such a good location, maybe they should build another Trader Joe's next door! read more

Okay. What's there to hate about Trader Joe's? Seriously. The people who work here are so nice. The store is clean. The aisles are spacious enough. AND cowboy caviar. 'Nuff said. Okay. Only gripe is parking. Oh well. read more

Trader Joe's - Grocery Near Me - Naperville, Illinois

I love the produce. So tasty and fresh. Haven't found a bad apple yet! Good prices. WAY BETTER THAN WHOLE FOODS! Try the Vanilla and Chocolate Macarons in the freezer section. Good variety of wines Don't buy the cherry juice. It's good, but it's from concentrate. Waste of money. Don't buy the candy bars at the front either. I have a feeling they've been there a very long time! Customer service rocks though. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I am becoming a regular read more

The best prices for some specialty healthier items you may have a hard time finding at Jewel or the like. Their Trader Joe brand is predictably delicious and a bargain. It is always fun to shop your way to the back of the store where you can get a little cup of one of their juices plus a sample of a suggested recipe. One less star for often being overcrowded amd for not being ankle to get all of the items on my shopping list. read more

I have been shopping at Trader Joe's for several years and they have got their business to a science. We come here for primarily two things: the mandarin orange chicken, and cheese. The problem with this store is if you come for one or two items, we usually leave with one or two full grocery sacks. Their breads are very good, they have a good selection of cheap wine, and so far this is the best place to buy a lb of crab for making crab cakes. I have heard good things about how the company treats their employees, and it shows. I have never run into an employee at Trader Joes who was not accomodating and friendly. I look forward to our next visit. I would have rated five stars but TJ has discontinued a couple of our favorite items. read more

I'm always going to like Trader Joe's. It's odd getting used to this one again after living out in Oak Forest and going to the Orland Park location so often but that's okay. I still find myself meandering around like an idiot, not used to the change quite yet. You always know the staff in Trader Joe's is likely to be a friendly bunch. I've never had a bad experience here, although, I tend to go at times that I know will not be busy. This place is chocked full of healthy little goodies. The frozen food and the boxes of appetizers are great too. I always make a meal out of the appetizers though, so what, who cares?! You are very likely to find something you like. I really like their mini cinnamon raisin bagels and chocolate croissants. The pre-made dough is also awesome and you can turn it into a pizza or calzones. The one with basil in it is PRIME. BUY IT. The whole wheat is also good. Of course, you can't forget about Three Buck Chuck. Charles Shaw is sold at $2.99, so you can stock up on some cheap wine that is tolerable. Chyeah! They don't have a super wide selection. This is definitely your side grocery store because they have like 7 aisles. You could spend a good amount of time in here and it is really reasonable. It's like Whole Food's lil bro. Not as good, but almost there, and willing to do more for less. Trader Joe's is owned by Aldi, which is something I tend to forget. Oh- there's likely some samples lying around somewhere! This place is also great because you can go and get something to go, like a pre-made salad, sushi, yogurt, or...maybe just a whole bunch of samples? ;D read more

I actually go out of my way to shop here for a few reasons... -they have a great wine selection...and a knowledgeable staff -unique stuff that you wont find at Jewel or Dominicks -cheap prices...it's like the poor mans Whole Foods -Friendly staff- they're always so nice and helpful On the downside - they dont have everything here..i typically have to stop at jewel to pick up the basics. Regardless, this place rocks. read more

I really like that Trader Joe's has such interesting things avaliable. The people that work there are always so friendly and helpful Although they are ALWAYS busy, it is worth it to be able to have such different varieties of things you can't find anywhere else. read more

I'm so sad! Trader Joe's used to have a plethora of products that were gluten free and safe for celiacs. Seems like that has changed in the last couple of years. The staff person whom I mentioned this to was not interested or even wanted to have a chat about it. read more

BEER!!! My wife likes the veggies and other foods. I like the beer choices and prices and the knowledgeable beer guy. Admittedly, I also eat their Oat Flake cereal every morning - tasty and good for me. read more

The store looks good but it really could use some updating. The staff up front is always nice but the stockers almost all of them are kinda rude. The food is good but I wish things were closer to great. I want Trader Joe's to be fantastic but they are closer to mediocracy. I wish they would revamp things. But they're still better then walmart now so there's that. read more

I try to visit Trader Joe's when in the Chicago area. I have gone to numerous stores and this was my first visit to this one. This is my least favorite. I cannot say the staff is what you expect in Trader Joe's stores. Not sure if it was a Saturday night or staff is weary of the COVID protocols in place. Not the usual customer friendly I get in the stores I have visited. Also as a side note, please be patient with the elderly. No reason to raise you voice and belittle. Three stars as I was able to get everything I usually buy and then some. I will venture to the other stores in the future and will pass on this one. read more

Normally I would give 5 stars to Trader Joe's but my visit yesterday disappointed me. Reason being they do not enforce wearing face protection at this time. There were a few guests not wearing face masks and I felt uncomfortable. When I asked a team member why this was allowed he told me because it it is not law. Not a good reason since all other stores will ask people to leave if not wearing mask read more

OMG I can't even explain how much I love this place! I get about 70% of all of my food here. They have all of my healthy choices that I value so much. I find more and more things to get there every time I go in. If you like to eat healthy, then you know that it can get ridiculous expensive. Trader Joe's makes it a little easier to eat healthy when on a budget, because their prices are really low compared to Whole Foods or other specialty stores. They have free range eggs and organically raised dairy products. They have an amazing wine selection too! I love my wine, and they have some $10 wines that you would never believe were that cheap. The employees are always so helpful too. If you ask an employee where something is located, they always know exactly where to go. I always enjoy my shop here, and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for healthier choices. read more

I've never been to a bad Trader Joe's, REALLY just variations of a-ok to excellent - and this location is no exception. The produce is always absurdly fresh, the shelves are clean and stocked, the meat and cheese selection well organized, and the store is logically laid out. And by logically I mean I came in for eggs and cheese and left with wine, frozen egg rolls, and crunchy cinnamon twists. What makes this Trader Joe's better than others in the area is the incredibly kind, helpful, and bubbly staff. I am NOT the kind of shopper who wants to chit chat with anyone as I'm plowing through the aisles or rushing through checkout, and yet they always find a way to be just chatty enough without being annoying. And for all of the organic, natural, high quality products they have, their prices are less than Whole Foods, Mariano's, usually even lower than Jewel. They don't have EVERYTHING, but usually, if they don't have it, I don't need it. I'm usually here at least twice a week, because I can't get enough. read more

Ok...I just know that I'm in the minority here. But hey, this is my review...not yours. I love food! I live in Joliet and drive to the southwest to get my Berkshire pork. I used to drive to Plano to get a large selection of heirloom vegetables. I will go to Chicago for my cured meats, Plainfield or Chicago for my cheese. To the north side of Chicago for olive oils and well....you get the idea. I like good food. I don't want to waste money and enjoy good value but I demand good products. But this doesn't mean that I always have to drive to Chicago, Plano, etc. I'll admit Trader Joe's does not suit my needs at all. Personally I think the store actually has some fairly poor products. I'm not into prepared foods...if I was this place may make me feel like a king. They've got a lot of different chocolate at TJ's. But really I look at chocolate like I do olive oil. I'm tired of paying a lot of money for so so chocolate. TJ's has a huge selection of chocolate and chocolate prepared items, I'd rather buy far less chocolate and get better quality. Olive oil. I've done a lot of tasting of oils that are sold in the area (and my area is fairly large). I've also bought oils from various countries directly from the producers. I have come to the conclusion (again) that I would rather spend a little bit more on a high quality olive oil rather than pay a fairly decent amount on an olive oil that's only marginally better than other stuff I cold easily buy. I HIGHLY recommend shopping at The City Olive (in Chicago). The owner and staff are truly knowledgeable on high quality oils and vinegars. Their prices are a little bit higher than what I got one of the olive oils from the producer. But I didn't have to pay shipping from Italy. If you haven't had fresh harvested quality olive oil please go up to The City Olive in November December(ish), Trader Joe's... Beef, Chicken, Pork...no! Cheese...NO! Prosciutto, salami, etc...NO! vegetables and produce...no thank you. I know a lot of people like TJ's and I get that. It just doesn't really suit my needs/wants. But I do have some choices that fit me quite well...and very close by to TJ's. Succulent Seafood located in the same plaza. I won't buy fish for sushi from just anywhere. But I'm confident buying my tuna from here. Their other items are quite nice too. They don't have whole fish...but things are normally good over there. Casey's grocery store is also located in the same plaza. Like most grocery stores, this one doesn't fill all my wants and needs. but it does fit many of them...or at least some important ones. Their beef is really tasty. I've had better...but that's really getting picky (not to mention the cost was much more too). Chicken, pork, sausages are nice too. They have Spanish chorizo and a few other nice items throughout the store. I'm not crazy about their produce. Everything looks good (which you've got to like) and you can tell they yank and throw away any produce item that is starting to turn bad. But the prices for the produce are just too high...and the selection is pretty small too. Deli, they have Boar's Head...which is Ok. Wine & Cheese by TCC in Plainfield. This place is pretty nice... a decent (rotating) selection of good cheeses with decent prices. All in all...I'm not a fan of Trader Joe's dan read more

Why do I love Trader Joe's? Not only do they have great stuff, but their staff is amazing. Went into the Naperville location recently, arm in a sling due to my broken collar bone. Grabbed a cart, entered the store, and immediately a crew member asked me if I would like him to help me shop by pushing my cart for me. How awesome is that? Guarantee that would not happen at the "chain" grocery stores. Kudos to people who know the meaning of the words "customer service"! read more

This TJ is much closer to my home than Whole Foods, and it's less expensive. I compare the two only for their emphasis on natural foods, because they are very different places. This one is nice and small, and parking is no problem. When I want to try a new cheese or serve something interesting for dinner guests, I find inspiration here. I don't use it for weekly grovery shopping, it's more the good specialty, party place. I don't get the hubbub about the three buck chuck - a $15 wine is a far better experience. read more

Yeah...Trader Joe's. My favorite place for a splash of free coffee with soy creamer. They hand me a raffle ticket because I brought my own bag. I have a chance to win a grocery card. Lovely visiting, T.J. read more

The store is spotless. Everything is clean including the aisles and the selections. Everything is also well organized and fully stocked. Produce and meat are always fresh and the other goodies have a great quality and there is variety of options. Prices are also fair and reasonable and I think almost the same with Mariano's. The only thing I could ask is for them to put prices on every product because there are some products that do not have prices. Meanwhile, the staff is friendly and helpful you could ask her simple things and she would gladly do so. This store is actually nice and there is nothing really a problem with them aside from putting prices on some of their products inside. Also, all the grocery stores have a nice selection of flowers but this store definitely has the better flowers which is honestly fresh, beautifully arranged and definitely reasonable. This store is a good option if you wanted an excellent grocery experience. read more

I agree with Thom; typically I wouldn't have made a trip here just for groceries when I could get everything on my list at a closer supermarket. However, when I started looking for convenient organic options, I stopped in...and now I go back because its a pleasure. The produce prices for somethings (like bananas) are great and then some other things I won't get here because I feel its too high. I think mostly I like the unusual things they offer: the little soft pretzel loafs, the hummus, the white stilton with apricots...actually several of their cheeses are good. The pretzel thins and the juice they carry have brought me here just for those 2 things (It may be apparent that I have a weakness for pretzels). The Valencia peanut butter with flaxseed, the mango granola, chocolate covered pomegranate seeds...goodness, they have more that I like than I remembered! I stock up on their chicken broth, because I think its some of the best. They have flowers and small plants...and chocolate ice cream bon bons!! (There's a sweet gift idea!) Much of their 'house' brands are consistently good, and maybe even better than what you can get elsewhere. The staff is always polite and helpful and honestly seem like they enjoy their job. And I enjoy that...so I'll be back soon! read more

Love it. I can't stand how regular supermarkets can have over 50+ choices for pasta sauce. Give me half a dozen good ones and make my life easier. Never have I been to a store where the employees are this nice. Always helping out, and each one has a passion for the food. The other day I made a comment at the check out about these new pricey High-Brow cookies. Is aid they better be good for the price. He stopped ringing me up. Opened a box of them (they were by the register endcap) and passed them out to me and the people in line. They are always doing things like this. Another time a hot-item wine was out, so the employee gave me his card and said to call the next day when they were expecting more and he would put a case on the side for me. Sweet! read more

How to describe Trader Joe's for the uninitiated? It is upscale without being snobby. The tone of the product descriptions is whimsical. The prices, surprisingly, are competitive, thought nothing is "cheap". Everything is high quality, much of it is their own brand. Much of it is unique. Lots of organic stuff. You can't quite get all the sundries you can at a "conventional" grocery store, but it comes close. The staff are friendly and helpful, and actually seem happy. What's more, a TJ's is finally nearby for me. I'm set. read more

I love this store. Not only are the employees great, so are the shoppers. Everyone helps each other. And, not only the employees have ideas so do the shoppers. I have been looking at many things have have bought it based on said shopper review that was given to me right then and there. This never happens. I am very happy when I shop here. It is not a chore. It is an experience. I would give them 5 stars if I did not have to drive 35 minutes. Bring one to Joliet or Shorewood. PLEASE!!!!!!!!! read more

Really high quality food at good prices. I love the organic food they offer.

Very bad customer service. They had decorated the whole store with balloons and my 2 yr old toddler really started crying for a balloon: when we requested for a balloon, they flat out denied. While there are lots of things to like about Trader Joes, there are two that stand out to me... The first is the lump hardwood charcoal. I like it so much better than the standard pressed briquettes. It generates a nice hot fire and has a great flavor. I now don't grill with anything else. TJ's, as usual, has a very reasonably priced brand that I like. The second thing is the prepackaged frozen meals. I have about an hour+ commute. While I love to cook, the last thing I want to do after getting home from work is spending all my time cooking dinner and very little time relaxing. My wife and I have had very few disappointing prepackaged frozen meals from TJ's. They are great sizes for two people and most are ready from the freezer to the plate in less than 10 min. Gnocchi, Asian Meals, it is all very good and it provides a much healthier than stopping for fast food. read more
