    Popcorn pickle flavor
    Kevin P.

Stopped by with my girlfriend to grab some Angeleno Spritz and, as always with TJ's, ended up leaving with a few extra goodies. We lucked out on the seasonal dill pickle popcorn -- it's usually sold out, but a super helpful employee checked the back and found a whole box! We grabbed three bags without hesitation. While we waited, they were offering samples of the honey lemon melon -- bright, zesty, and refreshing, exactly what you'd imagine a lemon-kissed melon would taste like. Always a fun, easy stop with great customer service. Shoutout to the team for making this visit extra enjoyable!

After having a horrible experience at Lazy Acres, my mom and I headed to Trader Joe's where all the staff were friendly and were welcoming of my service dog. All the staff seemed to be very happy to work their and true friends with their fellow employees. That's always a good vibe to have in a grocery store. They were also all dressed very casual which was fitting for SoCal and makes me appreciate the management for allowing employees their freedom. I always know I can count on Trader Joe's. Whether it's in my home town or a million miles away, Trader Joe's is bound to have a tummy pleasing healthy option for any meal of the day. There's no need to go to a restaurant when I can stop here for a premade sandwich, wrap, salad and some chips.

Love this TJ's! Only complaint is when it's busy it's difficult to find parking and sometimes they are out of a lot of their regular items (but I blame supply chain issues). Sometimes the meat is bery expensive but I just usually buy my meat elsewhere. The staff are super friendly and always hard at work. You never see them standing around just chatting up a storm. The reason for this review is because I bought a cesar salad kit and opened it to have for dinner that night and all of the lettuce was already pink. The bag must've been so old on the shelf or a faulty batch of product but I had to throw it away.

Homemade roasted red pepper hummus and pita, all ingredients from TJ's.

Terrible parking lot but the staff is just the best here! The layout is a little different but it works! Never had to wait too long in line.

They consistently forget major components like condiments or vegetables that are clearly listed in the sandwich description. Lately I've had to remind them or ask for extras just to get what is supposed to come standard. Today it happened again. I asked for oil and vinegar and received a dry, inedible sandwich. When I called to explain that this has happened multiple times, the person I spoke with essentially called me a liar, insisting it had been added, despite the fact that there was no oil on any of the wrappers. When I asked how they planned to make it right, especially given the astronomical prices they charge for sandwiches, I was told they might give me extra oil and vinegar next time and possibly a bag of chips. Nice customer service. Great idea to throw digs at loyal customers. Super smart. The new ownership the past few years is disappointing. It's unfortunate because we live just a few blocks away and come here often. When I order something, I expect to receive what I ordered and I certainly do not expect to be talked down to when there is a mistake on the deli's part. We have spent so much money there over the years but no more. PS they are always super pushy with asking for a tip when you pick up your sandwich too and most of the staff become irritated when you press the "no button" and give you a weird attitude....talk about an environment that's the opposite of your friendly neighborhood grocery store. They should be called greedy's not granny's!

It's unexpectedly large for a place by the shore, and I was thrilled because even though I checked Yelp and Google, I couldn't find much info. They're open super early and stay open late, and it's just such a gem especially since that area tends to shift toward restaurants or other businesses. This neighborhood really needed a good grocery store, and they have everything: fresh meat, drinks, snacks, fruits just like a full local grocery. The staff was really nice and laid-back, though the only downside is that parking is super limited and intersection it's tough to get in and out since it's near a small with a red light. Still, I'm really glad it's there, and I want to give a big shout-out to the local folks to support this place. The prices are really reasonable, and we need to keep these local businesses thriving. they're the heart of the community. I gave them five stars. I just hope they can clean it up a bit inside, maybe freshen up the shelves or ceiling. But overall, I'm so happy it's here, and we need more of these places in our city.

Beach Market Hermosa delivered one of the worst customer service experiences my girlfriend and I…read morehave had in a long time. From the second we walked in, we were met with an attitude that was cold, dismissive, and openly rude. Asking simple questions felt like we were committing some kind of offense. Instead of basic professionalism, we were treated like an inconvenience, like our presence alone was a problem. The tone, the body language, the lack of courtesy, all of it was unnecessary and completely unacceptable. What made this experience even worse is that it did not feel like an isolated moment of bad service. It felt personal, hostile, and deeply disrespectful. We left feeling unwelcome and disturbed by how casually we were treated with such disregard. No customer should ever walk into a business expecting to spend money and walk out feeling belittled, brushed off, and unwanted. Businesses in a community like Hermosa Beach should be held to a higher standard than this. Respect is not optional. Professionalism is not optional. Common decency is not optional. If a business cannot manage those basics, then it does not deserve the public's trust or support. After this happened, I checked the Yelp and Google reviews, and that only made this worse. Review after review described the same kind of rude, hostile, abrasive behavior. At that point, this no longer looks like one bad interaction. It looks like a pattern. And when the same complaints keep surfacing from different people across different platforms, the public should pay attention. So let this be a warning to anyone in the Hermosa area: avoid this place. Spend your money somewhere that values customers and knows how to treat people with respect. Do not ignore the reviews. Read them for yourself on Yelp and Google. The pattern is there, and based on our experience, it is absolutely real. Beach Market Hermosa is the kind of place that reminds you how fast one toxic interaction can ruin an entire business reputation. No one should have to deal with this kind of treatment, and no business should feel comfortable operating this way without being called out for it.
