A Buffalo day trip isn't complete if you didn't make a stop at Trader Joe's. It's a must visit spot - groceries are fresh and affordable. It is comparable to Farm Boy here in Canada. From the moment you walk in, their floral section gives you a warm, bright and lovely welcome. I love the variety and unique things they offer - their juices, snacks and frozen food section are my favourite. Whenever my family and I visit, there are always food samples being given out. Staff are always helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to help you find items, and bag your groceries (no extra charges for brown bags)

I love TJ's. I go there for ready to cook meals. They offer so many high quality and interesting foods and snacks from different cultures. Store is not big and gets crowded easily especially on weekends. This location is always organized and staffs were friendly and helpful. Downside is where it's located, parking is always busy and horrible that it will take you a while to find a spot. I highly recommend the mini taiyaki and chocolate covered espresso beans.

Hate driving out to the Boulevard but if I'm in the area I will try to stop here. Different items from what you find in most grocery stores. Try the shredded unexpected cheddar cheese ....so good. They have beautiful flowers but I'm allergic so I just look but have bought house plants. Checkout is great, you just hand off your cart to the cashier, they unload, bag & load your bags back in.

Just grabbed stuff at random. If I had a cooler would have been more.

Me: Oh, sure. Let's go to Trader Joe's. They can't be as good as everyone says but they must be nice. Me, After: oh lord. We need to bring a cooler next time* and budget more for purchases and get more bottles of the Everything But The... toppings. Excessively friendly staff. I hope they never install a self-checkout. I will be back.

Like any other Trader Joe's this is another well stocked store with friendly employees. We picked up yogurt and a few other things that we forgot while at the grocery store. Shared parking lot.

Made a quick trip across the border for Trader Joe's! I've been a fan of their snacks for a while now, and I got to stock up on many of my favourites (lightly coated dark chocolate almonds!!). It was packed inside of the store, but the lines moved quickly, and the staff were extremely friendly.

Trader joes is a very unique store with so many specialty items you can only find here. This location on the boulevard is very nice, clean, and nice staff. Staff are always kind and helpful. I love trying new things they offer. There are so many things I love including the mini sheet cake, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, seasonal watermelon sparkling drinks etc. So many easy dinner meals and snacks. Lots of fresh and organic produce at good prices Just go and try everything until you find your favorites, you won't regret it. It's always busy but they have you in and out.

It's always fun to visit Trader Joe's, small store, but plenty of unique items. Of course, those seasonal items grab you every time because you just want to try them before they go off the shelves. Love their Japanese frozen rice. Service is amazing, there's always plenty of staff walking around, stocking, and willing to answer questions. Apparently they'll let you sample anything but I've never done that. Always clean, even the bathrooms.

I don't know what was happening when we went but it was super busy! The store is well equipped. Plenty of items which we would never get in Canada. Picked up a few spices! Ample amount of parking. All cash registers were open so the lines did move along quicker.

I always enjoy going into Trader Joe's... there's just something about this place... feels like a small neighborhood market... friendly people and high quality products. I found some new things to enjoy like cheese bread and purchased some of the staples like eggs, cheese and lotion. This site always looks nice, well stocked and ready for customers.

Wegmans - Don't mind if I do!

I love Wegmans and this location is no different…read more With it being in the city, it's evident that both the parking lot and store are smaller than suburban locations but they do their best to maximize the space. The parking spots are narrower than suburban locations, but there is a lot of parking. The store felt slightly more cramped than my go-to location, even shopping with a small cart was tight to navigate through the produce section and the aisles were busy with shoppers and staff restocking. It's also a busy location, even on a Friday afternoon. But the store was clean and well organized, and they had a lot of registers open and staffed by courteous cashiers. The quality and selection of their food is fantastic, better than most grocery stores in the area.

This is the Wegmans closest to my mom's house, so whenever I'm back in Buffalo, this is my Wegmans…read moreeven though I used to work at the Alberta Drive location. Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.
