The bar owner overtook the DJ and took the mic to say "any guy who gets in the pool will go to jail, and any girl who gets in the pool will come on my boat". After that statement I realized who I was ultimately paying by purchasing an $11 vodka soda in cape cod and chose to leave. The bar owner was buddying up to the police officer who had been called to the scene, and it was obvious that a previously developed relationship had been established. It appears that law enforcement was accustomed to being called to this location and they were not taking the matter seriously by only speaking to the bar owner. Genuinely confused. Had a tasty lunch with my friend, and while the waitress wasn't amazing (waited 20 minutes to put our drinks in after she stopped by and tossed the menus on the table), we still tipped 20%, because waitresses make no real wage and it's the right thing to do. When we walked to our car, she came storming out after us and screamed "DO YOU GIRLS THINK I WORK FOR FREAKING FREE?" We tried to respond and ask her kindly what she was talking about, but she sprinted back inside. It was so weird- the valet parking guy saw the whole thing and was as dumbfounded as us. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Food is subpar, drinks are overpriced, and the bartenders don't know what they're doing. Not to mention, was there and saw a girl yakking in the corner (which should speak for itself) and asked a bouncer for some paper towels, who asked why and I told him someone threw up a little, when he asked who/where, I told him I'd take care of it, he didn't like my response, and told me he'd figure it out and that I'm going to be kicked out if I don't tell him. I was so sick of the place I said "sure, kick me out" and escorted myself to the door. I ran into the owner outside and I told him I just got kicked out for trying to help a girl throwing up inside and that he should probably check on her. I am currently sitting in the best bar in Hyannis. Kelsey is the best bartender in town, the bud lights are the coldest I've ever had. Enjoying a mudslide overlooking beautiful views of boats and the harbor, how could you go wrong. The food is great, the staff is even better. I'm new to the whole review thing but now that I'm on here I just want to say how much I enjoyed the crowd and vibe here. The drinks are good and the service was prompt. We got a few appetizers, a drink and sat right on the water at one of the high top tables. It was a nice experience, we left before the sunset as it was getting busy. After waiting triple the time the staff letting people in let their friends in before us. When we finally got in they immediately threatened arrest when we mentioned how cool it was that they had a pool. Our server was rude and tacky and what REALLY threw me off (I so badly wish I was exaggerating) she was an inch from my face 3 separate times with no mask. There is not a finer establishment here on the cape. The staff provide A+ service. And the owner goes out of his way to greet his patrons. If your ever here in the Cape, make sure that this is your first stop. It's right off the ocean and the the views are incredible come sunset. read more

Terrible management (the owner!) who kept making incredibly inappropriate comments on the microphone to the crowd about young women. I couldn't believe he was allowed in the vicinity. Many people left after his horrible comments and mannerisms. I've never experienced such disrespect and unprofessionalism. The police were called to attend to their poor behavior. We were then told it was a couple hundred dollars to get in. It's all cash so we needed to go to the ATM. We didn't get the money back to him fast enough due to the crowd and the line, and the PSYCHO started taking our pictures telling us we needed to come up with $300 or we couldn't leave.. like he was going to hold us hostage or something. We were there for less than a half hour and he made as pay $300 to leave, threatening us with a squad of security staff at the door, mind you we were a group of 10 women. Extremely disappointed with this restaurant. My boyfriend and I came to visit for our first time from Rhode Island. We are staying over night and wanted to go out to some local bars near our hotel. Trader Ed's were one of the locations that we were excited to try out. We did about a 15 minute walk to get to this location just to find out that they were at "capacity" yet you couldn't wait in line in case anyone left. The two guys at the front, who wouldn't give me their name when I asked since they "didn't have too", were so rude. I simply asked for their name so I could speak to their manager because of their attitude but they were rude and just kept saying they didn't have to tell me and didn't care. We were still confused as to why they didn't have a line for you to wait in as it was still early and they close at 1am. As we were waiting for our lyft, one of the "security guards" said we needed to move to wait for our lyft since it was owned by the marina? We literally weren't doing anything so it made no sense so we said were not moving since we were on the sidewalk. This whole situation was extremely frustrating and could have been handled better. I do not recommend anyone to come here if they plan a trip to the cape, and if they do end up going there, making sure you call beforehand to see if it's going to be a wasted trip because they could be at capacity and not let you in with no reason at all. Please hire better, more friendly staff. read more

Came here as part of a college group who they reserved the whole joint for, so this obviously isn't the typical experience. Regardless, they were woefully unprepared and generally ignorant the whole night. They had two bartenders working to serve around 200 people, and you had to wait an hour just for a drink. Unless you were one of the 3 locals there or you were willing to throw a $10 at the bartender for their attention, you are out of luck. The staff and security were downright rude at best, and had no problem getting in your face and pushing you around if you happened to accidentally walk into the wrong door from the deck outside. I didn't see a single smile from anyone at the place unless they were up close and personal with a college aged girl, and that should tell you enough about the kind of people they hire here. Again, it was a college group which isn't the typical crowd but these people look for nothing but profit, customer satisfaction be damned. They did not tell us about the pre authorization fee so all our cards were charged $50. I asked for a frozen drink and the bar tender replied "absolutely not" and walked away. My husband and I have been here multiple times. We like the late summer (mid-late September time) Normally we are early around 5:00ish eat dinner and like to sit at the inside bar. We have had some bartenders that are great and attentive. Although a few of weeks ago (early June) we sat at 2 empty bar stools and had to wait for a long time for two beers this was an uncomfortable long time. I had my cash out in my hand but we still waited. The regulars were getting served their drinks with conversations, while we waited. The outside wasn't too busy, (no frozen drinks frenzy going on) I understand a business having their regulars and the relationships that have been built I think it's great and we are known by name at multiple places down here. But just imagine how many more you could have if everyone was treated in the same friendly way. We did get our drinks but with empty eyes, no smile, and we felt as if we were putting her out. p.s. the coconut shrimp is GREAT! : ) read more
