Camp Bow Wow - Harry Potter day at camp

We are new to Texas and have tried 4 other daycares before deciding Camp Bow Wow was the one!…read more PROS: Clean facility Friendly staff Lobby smells good and my boy always smells good when I pick him up User friendly mobile app Always has space for him/appt not required. Love the enrichment options and different theme days Daycare package options Reasonably priced bath/grooming options Air conditioning** Main reason in choosing them is the other daycares set a 'nap time' and had my boy crated. He's free range! He would cry when I'd take him to the others and run out as soon as I picked him up.

Please reconsider before bringing your pet here…read more Since the change in management, the quality and standards of care have noticeably declined. In the past, pets could freely enjoy time outside to socialize and play with others while waiting for grooming or pickup--no special request was needed. Now, however, it seems you must explicitly ask for your pet to be let outside, or they're kept in crates for extended periods, sometimes from 9:30 AM until almost 5:00 PM. For pets with high anxiety, like our doodle who struggles with being confined to small spaces, this is distressing and far from the previous standard of care. Additionally, we encountered communication issues. When we hadn't received a call about our dog's pickup and the day was nearing close, we tried calling for an update but received no answer. We also noticed that grooming quality has diminished, with grooming services seeming rushed and lacking attention to detail. The cut our pet received was much shorter than requested and poorly executed. These new policies, combined with increased prices and limited staffing, have led us to seek alternative care options. We urge other pet owners to carefully consider their options as well.

I do wish they would have extra staff working when there are a lot of people/dogs waiting in the lobby. And it is a bit pricey

That was the first red flag--I had received no call, no warning. Dennis then showed me photos of a bite wound they had attempted to clean up. When my dog came out, I was horrified--he had a large puncture wound on his leg that wrapped around his side, and they were unable to stop the bleeding. They offered me a wrap and assured me I wouldn't be charged for the day. But honestly, why would I be? It was clear he wasn't being properly watched. I asked what happened. Their response? They didn't know. They only noticed when they saw blood on the floor. So no one heard him yelp? No one saw what happened? I requested to review the video footage and was told they would check and get back to me. It has now been five days, and I have received no calls, no emails--nothing. Not even a simple check-in on my dog's condition. In the meantime, I took my dog to the vet, where I learned the situation was even worse than they claimed. He wasn't just bitten once--he was bitten twice. They completely missed a second wound. My dog has barely been able to walk or eat since. His wound had to be drained, and he was prescribed pain medication and antibiotics because his white blood cell count was alarmingly high. I stopped by on Monday evening for answers, but Dennis, the manager, wasn't there. I requested a callback, but unsurprisingly, no one has reached out. Please, do not trust these people with your dog. Learn from my horrible experience. It's now clear that staff are often not in the rooms supervising the dogs, leaving them vulnerable. They don't care about your pet's well-being, and their complete lack of accountability proves it.

Urban Tails - Rest In Peace Marley Girl

Let me explain When we first dropped off, we were told the cameras we always used to watched our dogs while at daycare were broken and no indication to be fixed. Today, I went to pick them up, the glass door was broken and learned that someone had broken into the building last night and nobody stays overnight with the dogs. Didn't get a report of their stay either. Definitely won't be back.

While our dog "Marley" was at the groomer getting simple nail trim and bath, we received a phone call from Urban Tails stating that there was an "accident". We rushed to the groomer to find out the worst news. Our beloved Marley was dead. The groomer stated she brought Marley to the back room and place Marley in a bath tub and placed her on a choke collar. After the groomer was done giving Marley a bath, the groomer stated: "...Marley jumped out of the tub and broke her neck... it all happened so quickly, it was an accident.." At first, I was sympathetic to the situation, but as i demanded to see the video footage, I was denied viewing any video footage because the owner of Urban Tails stated: ".. it's too graphic to watch.." We left Urban Tails with our sweet Marley's body wrapped in a cold wet towel. Our lawyer also requested to view the video footage. This is when we found out the TRUTH. After the groomer finished rinsing Marley, the groomer proceeded to leave the room leaving Marley soaking wet, attached to the choke holder and alone in the tub. Approx 1 min later, Marley began to look around. Then she jumped out of the tub with the choke collar still attached. Marley then began to struggle for her life, gasping for air and trying to reach for anything to help her breath. She could not touch the ground. She struggled for 8 WHOLE MINUTES according to the video footage. Her body went limb at 9 minutes. Marley was found hanging by the choke collar outside of the tub by a different groomer at 11 minutes. 11 minutes have passed since the original groomer left the room. Her body was unresponsive and Marley was dead. The original story given to us by the groomer was a complete lie. This was NO accident!! This was complete and utter NEGLIGENCE!! Marley did not die instantly as the groomer stated. Our poor Marley struggled for her life and suffered a senseless death. We feel tremendous guilt for trusting our family member with Urban Tails. We should have never brought her there. If you love your pet as much as we do, please please please DO NOT bring your pet to Urban Tails. Nothing on earth will bring beloved Marley back to us. But we hope to inform others to learn from our tragedy. The groomer should have never left her unattended and the use of choke collars should only be used by properly trained groomers or omitted from grooming / bathing techniques completely. The heartache of losing a loved one in such a sudden tragic manner is overwhelmingly difficult. Please DO NOT bring your pet to Urban Tails!! In solidarity - Marley's parents
