Please reconsider before bringing your pet here Since the change in management, the quality and standards of care have noticeably declined. In the past, pets could freely enjoy time outside to socialize and play with others while waiting for grooming or pickup--no special request was needed. Now, however, it seems you must explicitly ask for your pet to be let outside, or they're kept in crates for extended periods, sometimes from 9:30 AM until almost 5:00 PM. For pets with high anxiety, like our doodle who struggles with being confined to small spaces, this is distressing and far from the previous standard of care. Additionally, we encountered communication issues. When we hadn't received a call about our dog's pickup and the day was nearing close, we tried calling for an update but received no answer. We also noticed that grooming quality has diminished, with grooming services seeming rushed and lacking attention to detail. The cut our pet received was much shorter than requested and poorly executed. These new policies, combined with increased prices and limited staffing, have led us to seek alternative care options. We urge other pet owners to carefully consider their options as well. read more

I really enjoy taking my puppy to this daycare. Your dog has to go through an assessment for your first day and then they get to stay all day for free!! You can either take your dog for 1/2 day or a full day of daycare plus they offer boarding which includes daycare. Depending on the day of the week they'll have different activities for the pups such as bubble time or pool time. We've taken our puppy for daycare and boarding and it really is addicting to watch the pups through the cameras. The only con I have is Sunday's are only for drop off or pickup from boarding so if you're looking for daycare they aren't available and the pups are only in their suites all day. Besides that, I have no complaints and it is so nice to have a tired pup come home from a full day's play! read more

I have had to change my review. I used to give it 5 stars under the old management. Since the recent change in management it is totally different experience. The energy is so nervous and negative (which makes the dogs react that way). We will never be going back. The only silver lining is that I found The Oaks Dog Ranch because of my most recent experience at Camp Bow Wow. This place is incredible, can't say enough about the Ranch. They offer training and allow the dogs to act like dogs. 100% different experience. I wish I never even tried Bow Wow. read more

I am so happy I found camp bow wow, the workers are so sweet and personable making me feel very confident that my pup was in the best hands. She came home so happy and tired. We watched her on the camera playing with her friends and the "camp counselor" was even blowing bubbles to the dogs at one point. I love the interview process! They're very put together and obviously have a lot of care they put into their program. Rugger is my one year old german Shepherd mix with extreme separation anxiety issues, and even though most of his day was tirelessly barking at the counselors to let him leave and jumping around, they were very patient with him and me in understanding it will take a little for him to settle in and feel safe. The cameras are awesome and I loved settling my own nerves by making sure he wasn't going completely berserk, and they gave me a super nice folder with an adorable picture of him for his first day and all their information and even a hurricane plan! I was really excited to hear the news of a daycare/boarding facility opening up close to my house. I made a social evaluation appointment for my dog who has been to daycare in the past with 0 problems. I had told the girls up front her background history even though I submitted a survey several weeks before hand. Told them she is a little vocal when she plays and can nip since she has a herding breed in her. Also she is very attached to me BUT loves to play with other dogs. So as I watched my dog on the screen being evaluated, the lady was talking me through the steps of everything which was nice. My dog only interacted with 3 dogs. She snapped (which she will do but never has followed through with a bite) at their little mascot dog because he wouldn't stop sniffing her. The girl who was walking my dog through the test came up and asked me if she had ever been to daycare before. Ummm yes, it is once again, written on the survey. Her tone was super judgmental. She goes back out to the dogs and mine was doing okay till that same dog didn't give her space again. She gave a quick warning then the girl sprayed my poor baby in the face with a water hose!! How could you do that right in front of me :( The girl (name started with a j) brought her back to me and yes she was very wet. They "ran a towel through her" then told me she failed and couldn't be in the program. Okay fine but then they tell me I can't even board her because she failed? That doesn't seem right at all. What if I had a dog that didn't necessarily want to be with other dogs and I was only interested in boarding? I left very very upset and I am not one to make a scene but they made me feel like a horrible dog owner. The fact your establishment teaches already under skilled employees to blast dogs with a hose for giving a simple correction is outrageous. These people don't seem to understand simple dog behavior. If you have a doodle or a lab, you'll for sure get it because those are "laid back" breeds. The whole energy seemed very fake and I didn't feel truly welcomed. I will never recommended any location of camp bow wow to anyone. read more
