In February it was said to be about 12 weeks before it closed. This mall really is in desperate need of someone to revive it or put it out of its misery.

It literally was the place to be back in the day. I've seen the changes throughout the years, and I think it's still a great place to hang out. They've remodeled, and there are new stores and restaurants. There aren't many malls in the area now. There were other ones to visit back then, but they're all gone now. So, it's nice to know this one is still standing strong for the community. By the way, there are two Chick-fil-A's in the Mishawaka area. We prefer to come to the one in University Park Mall because it's less busy. Both are busy places, but this one isn't as congested. I'm also glad to see Barnes and Noble in this mall. With many book stores closing, I don't get to find one too often. On the weekends, it's hard to find parking, but honestly, it has been that way since I was growing up.

The women working at the checkout had looked at me once or twice, turned their backs on me to deal with supplies or something, and dealt with other customers including a man who walked in the door after I'd already been waiting for some time, all as if I wasn't standing there with a cartload of stuff, waiting to be served. So I walked out with nothing, having lost the better part of an hour trying to buy bedding. I went around the corner and bought what I needed from Slumberland instead. The service there was friendly and efficient, and the bedding actually cost less than the sale prices at Kohl's. Kohl's management, in this instance your staff should have either put a sign on the door or posted a staff member at the door to turn people away. I saw at least 4 different staff people while shopping. Any one of them could have alerted me to the situation. The woman at the checkout said it had been down all day. They'd had time to come up with a contingency plan. You have lost me as a customer.

New product comes in daily according to their Facebook and everything comes assembled, ready to take home. Located in the previous location of Joanne Fabrics location, Open Box Outlet has a large layout where they display an overwhelming number of items. My husband is already excited to come back to check out more items. While the customer service could use a touch of work (greeting customers or at least having someone ask if you need help finding something), I blame the fact they just opened for that and I'm sure they'll get the right number of employees to remedy that. We will definitely be back soon.

The store itself is ginormous and it was a tad overwhelming when I first walked in. After I stopped being intimidated by the store size I was able to get some great deals on things like laundry detergent and motion sensor lights for outside our home. I am looking forward to continuing to take advantage of the fantastic prices at Ollie's. I can see myself getting rugs and some more $10 bed sheets.
