I am fully convinced that Walmart carries everything you could possibly ever need. Its a great store and its easy to find what your looking for. However, they do not have enough staff throughout the store. Today they had staffers who had set up a lovely tablescape of items that could be found throughout the store, it was beautiful! Right next to it were other staffers who were encouraging people to try food and beverage samples that they were selling. As you walked thru the store people had dumped food and drinks samples everyone. In the women's shoe area somebody had dumped a red drink all over a legging display completely ruining it and it had dried so it had been the a while and not cleaned up. In a display area for Christmas sweets people had just dumped trash all over the shelves. Its a good store but the staffers need to take pride in the whole store not just the fun stuff at the front of the store. read more

This walmart has the worst customer service. I purchased a halloween themed onsie and didn't realize until i tried to sit down that it was a bit too snug. I went in to exchange it for a size larger. Customer service claimed they couldn't do exchanges, they'd have to refund it and recharge it... but because i had cut the tags they refused to refund it. Even though i had the tags themselves and the receipt showing i had bought it less than 24 hours prior. You could see the item was still in new condition on the original hanger etc. I understand covid restrictions, but all that transaction would have required was a tag-gun to re-attatch the tags. Simple solution happy customer. Instead, i canceled my pickup order for $55 and i will take future purchases to their competitors. I hope it was worth it. read more

I have a problem.  A pretty big problem with this Wal-Mart and the people they chose to hire.  There is an employee here, Donna Green.  I had a less than pleasant interaction with her outside of Wal-Mart which is not walmarts issue but it became there issue when she recognized me at the store. The story:  on facebook she had an issue with someone on a yard sale site.  She called them the c-word.  I ended up not supporting her actions and told her so.  She then proceeded to get unhappy with me.  I thought it would end right there on FB but no.  She recognized me by my profile picture and insisted on harrassing me at her place of work.  I had to actually tell her I would report her, which resulted in her telling me I'm a "butt" and storming off. I decided to wait a few days to post this because I thought maybe she would apologize but that never happened so here I am, warning all about the disrespectful worker I encountered.  I guess the true people of Wal-Mart are their workers because they are terrible.  So thanks Donna Green for ruining this store for me. read more

Dec 7 I got to New tire put on my car. That took 2 weeks to come in. Then after getting my car back home, I notice that floor storage bin was pushed up. After talking with multiple people including management. They said I ran over something to put a hole in the floor and damage the bin. Rick the management was very unprofessional talking to me crazy I believe because I am a woman. Not knowing I know what I'm talking about. Poor customer service! Employees look at you at the counter and walk away, don't even say be right with you. No one works the dressing room, when I ask someone if I can get in I don't work this department. (Walks away) Ask another employee, "I'll have to find someone.. 15 20 minutes later crickets. If you ever want to go to a place and find out what "that's not my job" looks like in real life this is the store for you. From not one single employee even acknowledging us as we shop, to waiting 5 minutes for the self check out attendant to come to our register to remove an item (because she was on her phone), to Dave getting flashback from his war time to check my receipt for my $3 worth of water that wasn't bagged when all I wanted was a small bag of ice, to then having to wait for 30 minutes returning ice because I paid for it but they were out.... To the returns specialist being down right rude while returning ice because they were out. Great example of customer service for a visitor to your town. I had already been to one store for black eye peas. I went to Walmart in Benton Harbor, their frozen black eye peas were empty. I asked a very nice gentleman Johnathan. He checked his phone, said there were some in the back and that he would check. A few minutes later he came out with a box! Johnathan saved me a trip to another store. Walmart is lucky to have him as an employee! He's polite and helpful. read more

Do NOT order a cake from here! The cake I ordered looks nothing like the picture on the website. It's missing the gold pearl details. The piping was lazily done and in the wrong colors. A bunch of random squiggly piping is a pathetic attempt at decorating a cake. The coral is missing. It's on a huge square cake board that now will not fit the cake stand I intended to use. And white bubbles at the bottom... Why even do that? And bright green leaves when there weren't supposed to be any? I will be scraping this off and re-doing it myself. We we're waiting for the jewelry case to be opened for over an hour... Just for a ten dollar earing pack... Yeah.... The lady who worked in jewelry said that she's taking her lunch break and gave the keys with someone else... Turns out, she left with them! The staff kept trying to figure out who had the keys, she was paged at least four times and in the end only a few staff came and helped... In the end we never got the pack and wasted about an hour and fifteen minutes of our lives! read more

I ordered a cake from Walmart.com and couldnt get it made from Paw Paw Walmart so had to use Benton Harbor Walmarts Bakery... I ordered a white cake with buttercream icing and STRAWBERRY FILLING was charged EXTRA for the STRAWBERRY FILLING. LOW AND BEHOLD NO STRAWBERRY FILLING AND LOOKED LIKE YELLOW CAKE THAT TASTED UNDER BAKED! The kicker of it was my husband went to pick it up on the day it was scheduled to be picked up the the woman in the bakery tried to charge him a 2nd time for the cake! A cake ordered OFFLINE AND THEY DIDNT HAVE A CLUE WHAT WAS GOING ON. I got no notice, email, the cake was even done until the day after! Luckily we werent changed TWICE for a cake we had already paid for but the cake was not even good tasting! We were here on Friday, 8.23.19 and are traveling in our motorhome. On some occasions we need to pull over for the night. Many Walmarts allow RV's to do that. Since we are here we picked up some things we needed. Well, wanted to pick up some things BUT they are out of everything. The shelves were bare. The clientele was extremely unsavory and questionable. Late at night there was a couple having a huge screaming fight that was getting out of hand. I was coming home from a business trip on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. It was about 6 pm and I was planning on getting some fried chicken from the deli along with some other groceries. I walked up to the deli counter and there was a male and female employee looking at something on a cell phone. The case where the chicken and other hot foods that are pre-packaged to go was completely empty. I finally spoke up and said, "Excuse me, do you have any fried chicken?" The female employee apologized for not noticing me. The male finally waddled over and said, "No." That was it. The idiot didn't apologize, offer to make some, or anything. Obviously his phone is more important to him than his job. If he moved any slower, he'd be going backwards. I've shopped at this store many times before but I've never seen it in such disarray. The prices aren't that great and they're really not good at stocking but there were so many empty spots on the shelves, it almost looked like Kmart when they were going out of business. I picked up some cat food and apparently a can of something was open and rotting somewhere. It smelled like something in that aisle had died a week ago. Of course there were no employees looking for the smell of the stench. It was nauseating. Someone from the corporate office needs to visit this place. They need to close that dump down. Two days ago we purchased from WM in Benton Harbor Michigan a hp ink cartrage. It was the number 63. Got it home and after appx 50 pages the ink ran out. We brought it back to the store today. The rude customer service girl made it clear that she figures we used all the ink and then brought it back for a refund. Yes, that is what we do. We run around trying to scam WM out of some 20 dollar ink cartrage. This thing was defective and instead of saying we might be right, she just assumed we were lying and refused. I can only imagine how many charge backs WM files against their suppliers, but they are fine with losing a customer over 20 dollars. NP. We have bought all of our lap tops, printer and supplies from this store. No more. You need to train your people better before you put them in front of your customers.. read more

A friend wanted to pick up a bathing suit and we felt like a lil drive from the Paw Paw area. The store was easy to get around. She found one that worked. Well about a wk later we have another check from the same place and its only for $20 the lady is looking at it and i could just tell shes looking for some reason not to cash it. She is gonna tell us that we will b charged $3 yes we are aware of that. I watched the lady she didnt even run the check through she then prints off one of those papers saying they cant cash it and to call a number in florida. Well the next day we brought the check to walmart and this other lady cashed with no problem. She also stated that they can very easily print off those papers saying they cant cash it. Do not I repeat do NOT go to the Walmart Auto Center. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, not only did we wait 2 1/2 hours. But they denied our tire rotation.. And left oil all over my car. I went to this Walmart because I needed two new tires for my van. When I got there, the fellow walked around my car and asked why do I need new tires as my tires looked fine. I had to explain that the rear are cupped badly inside. He started to give me a lesson on how I should go have the car checked out first because the new tires will end up in the same shape. Now, I have just replaced the rear bearings on this van. I know the alignment is good. I told him this and then he started blaming the suspension and how my van is dropping to the left. This guy won't sell me a tire!! He kept on lecturing me on how he is trying to save me money and was blaming everything else on my van. I then asked him to look up the cost of the tires and he said the only ones that were available were 'the most expensive ones anyway.' I went elsewhere for my tires and am happy now. When I got home, I pulled out my measuring tape, and both sides of the wheelwell were a perfect 29.5 inches off the ground. My suspension is fine. read more

This store has EVERYTHING! I know they had a reputation in the past for being unorganized and dirty, but they store has been completely renovated recently and has really improved their image. Everything seems better organized and is more shopper friendly. read more
