I was recently in the market for some heavy-duty 2" cargo straps to haul equipment and, as usual, headed to Harbor Freight first. Unfortunately, they were either out of stock or no longer carried them. After doing a quick online search, I found that Tractor Supply in Sparks had a great selection--and at better prices than I've paid in the past. The store had plenty of options to choose from, and I appreciated how well-stocked and organized everything was. One thing I really liked is that if you provide your phone number at checkout, your purchases are saved to your profile. That's a huge plus for me since I'm notorious for losing receipts--this makes returns or exchanges a breeze. Overall, solid experience. Great inventory, fair pricing, and a helpful system in place for tracking purchases. I'll definitely be back and would recommend Tractor Supply in Sparks Nevada to others! read more

Great place to bathe your dogs. You don't have to get your bathroom dirty and they supply towels and shampoo. It's also the place I load up on bird food and dog food. The prices are reasonable and they seem to have recently added to their staff which is nice When you need help. read more

This review is for the dog washing stations and service beforehand. Let me say that I've never been in a Tractor Supply before or used a self-service dog wash station. I showed up on a Friday afternoon around 5:00pm. When I walked in, I saw the cashier station and made contact with one of the ladies there. I told her that I had never been there and wasn't sure what to do. She nicely explained that I need to first pay with her and she will provide me with the towel(s) for drying. She then pointed me in the direction of the dog wash room and that was that. When I got into the dog wash room I noticed the cabinet across the room with the many shampoo/conditioner options and wall of directions. I tried to first use the station on the left side but it wasn't working so I moved to the right. There wasn't any aprons for covering myself either but my dog is small and I was fine if I got a little wet. The water hose/nozzle was strong and the water got luke warm, it was perfect for really getting all the soap out of my pup. The shampoo options were awesome, and the dematting conditioner were of nice quality. The dryers were strong as well and didn't get too warm. I dried my little ones hair in about ten minutes. For $9.99, this was a great deal and time well spent with my dog. I recommend the dog wash stations at Tractor Supply and I'll definitely be back and bring my other dogs. read more

More of a 3.5 visit, but I rounded up. Quality/Quantity - Interesting items, catering to farming...? Had to come get stuff here because Home Depot did NOT have it. Well, I could have ordered it but I am just impatient. Atmosphere - Huge warehouse like supply company. Plenty of parking. See my pictures for the different departments. Service - 1 friendly employee, 2 not as friendly... Must be a load/stock/delivery day, employees working hard to stock the store. Plenty of employees today. Price - Prices cheaper in store versus online, even cheaper than their own website prices. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success for the past 80+ years with 2,016 locations in 49 states. Store always seems empty and low on stock. Employees have always been great. Some items are fun like the value hardware section and the farmers almanacs. It really reminds me of my hometown small hardware store. Fyi today they had an mlm scam set up our front, called Project Parker. Don't donate, it's disguised as a charity but it's an mlm. Really weird a business would allow that. Best items for non farmers, the hog panels for diy trellis for garden. They have dog food and vet stuff to help save money. A new store, as such clean. It seems that they strove for a down-home, old hardware store feel with the layout and stocking, as there is not much of a modern look or feel to it. I assume to appeal to the 'ranch-y' types. I think it's great that they are rather centrally located. Makes them easy to access. Parking is AMPLE. They have a neat amenity: DIY wash your dog area. Everything you need to wash that pooch, all in a little room. Cost is about $10. I was pleasantly surprised at how much hardware they have. Employees have greeted each time we've entered the store, and seem friendly and competent at checkout. Lots of cool stuff, and living on a bunch of acreage is not a requirement for finding useful items here. I recommend checking it out :) read more

We stopped in on opening day, 9/22/18. The grand opening is actually 9/29/18. They are not fully stocked yet but are offering a 10% discount on all purchases prior to the grand opening. The focus of this store is farm and ranch but they have a wide variety of items including apparel, tools, home and garden and a large pet section. The staff were very friendly and helpful. While checking out a water trough that was full of water and sodas one of the employees said I could take one if I wanted. So I grabbed a Diet Coke. He said they were left over from an opening ceremony with the city yesterday. They were still ice cold so it sounded good to me! We will definitely be back and we imagine this is a great addition to Sparks especially for people who have animals or property. read more

Nice layout, friendly staff, clean (new) store. They carry great brands including a full selection of Carhartt, Cub, Honda, Generac, Woverine, Purina... Great online shopping with pick up in store. I do scratch my head a bit. During my visit I saw a few groups of ranchers (who I presumed were neighbors) that were running into each other here. So the new Reno / Sparks Tractor Supply in the heart of Sparks? Not North Valleys, not Spanish Springs, not Old Southwest Reno, but here? Seems to be working and they did not build some unnecessary new building on the fringe of town. Right near the new Harbor Tool & Freight, I swear if they put a Waffle House in the open spot between these two someone will write a country song. This business is very poor in customer service. My wife and I in our 70,s went into the store and went to the counter and told the we wanted to buy livestock tank. A woman at the counter found what we wanted. She was very nice and had an employee to assist us and we went outside and told the employee which one we wanted and he said to park our truck at the gate and they would load it for us. We went inside and got three other items and paid. They would load the tank for us. we went outside and moved our truck to the gate as they told us. 5 to 10 minutes later no employees. My wife went inside and asked for help for our tank. 5 minutes a nice young man came outside to help and he called for some assistance. He said help was at lunch. He rolled the tank over to our truck and my wife had to help the employee load the tank into our truck. I then ask is they had any twine to use for securing the tank in the truck. Nothing available so my wife went back into the store and purchased rope so we could secure the tank. No other help. The purchase took over an hour and we knew what we needed. This store may be low on stock at times, but that shows me a lot of people are shopping here. The staff is extremely helpful, and go out of their way to service customers. We get our goat feed and bird seed here often, and when there are sales on clothes, it's "Katy, Bar the Door!" We bought a lot of supplies from TSC Sparks for expanding the goat pen, the garden, and overall "general store" stuff. read more

The staff here is the most disrespectful group I have ever dealt with. I will drive to Carson City before I ever step foot in this store again. Diane was extremely disrespectful and rude. If I was her supervisor I'd keep her in the stockroom and away from your customers. Even the people who walked out of store in front of us commented on her attitude. Trying to get someone to help that knows anything is difficult. Why the manager is out filling propane tanks while other associates stand around is beyond me, They let me wait a long time, called someone else twice, no one could be bothered. My wife and I are in high risk categories for the current virus pandemic. We were delighted to be able to shop online and then not have to take a chance on facing crowds in a store. We made an online order (it was in the $120 range--as most of our Tractor Supply orders). We received an email that our order was ready for pickup. When we arrived to pick it up we found crowd of customers and staff who were not practicing social distancing or any other precautions. The service desk had nobody at it. When an staff member was located, he didn't have the order ready. In fact, the order was not around and it took time to locate it. It took time to fill it. The website says loading assistance will be available. Instead we had to lift and load ourselves. Adding insult to injury was the staff member who laughed at my wife for wearing a protective face mask while in the store. If we hadn't prepaid for our order we would have walked out and shopped elsewhere. Now that we know the callous attitude at the Reno/Sparks store, we will indeed shop elsewhere. The observed situation and conditions were NOT a matter of a momentary lapse in service. It was quite clear that the corporate policies of safety described on the website are simply not being carried out in the store. Today's visit was our last visit. We have shopped at Tractor Supply on a regular basis for at least a year. It took an international pandemic crisis to reveal the level of disregard for customer comfort and safety that is the real TSC story. read more

The idiocy of this company really boggles my mind. I get that we are in COVID times but sometimes you need to take a look at something and ask, "does this make sense?". Took my two dogs today to the dog wash area. They rang me up for two dogs and on I went. I needed to wait for towels because the cashier was out. When the lady brought me the towels, she said only one dog at a time in the room due to COVID. Ummmm what? My two dogs are around each other all day and they aren't going to give me COVID. What am I supposed to do, let one dog run wild through the store? Meanwhile, the cashier was ringing someone out without a mask. So my two dogs being in the same room is more dangerous? Stay away from Tractor Supply Company. I tried to buy a canopy for my tractor. Ordered online and waited, and waited. After one month I was being told the product was in Sparks. I emailed. No reply. I complained online. No reply. Then they sent me an email asking me to review the product I had purchased but never received. I said you took my money but I never received the product. After another couple of weeks I applied for a refund via Paypal. Paypal refunded my money today. Guess what, a call from TSC. They have my product. read more

I literally went in there with specific needs and a (for the purpose) unlimited budget. I wanted to buy a chainsaw and two pick axes. After about 30 min i left with nothing simply because of the inept and aloof staffthat was there. UNREAL. what would have been $500 purchase turns into a crappy review because these guys not only ignored me but when approached about purchasing achainsaw were not interested at all inhelping me. Honestly, I was super excited to see a Tractor Supply come in here. But was disappointed at their lack of inventory and actual sales. Also, everything is very over priced . The pet food is cheaper at WalMart and PetCo. Maybe if they are in this location longer they will have more sales. Very small clothing and boot section, and extremely over priced. less than a week ago, i drove in from palomino valley to get a propane tank and a couple of hoses. as i was checking out, i noticed a woman with two kids not wearing masks. i commented to the clerk about the non-mask wearing family...i might as well been talking to the propane tank. not only did the clerk at the register, as well as a couple other employees close by, ignore the issue when i pressed them, but totally refused to ask the the non-mask wearers to put them on. they even scoffed at me for bringing up the thoughtless, health risking actions of that family. this is totally unacceptable.... we had 100,000 new cases of covid 19 yesterday. covid 19 is not fake news or a democratic hoax. it is a real killer. if you do not believe that to be the case, ask the family members and friends of the 230,000 people who have died from covid 19 in the last 8 months...this ain't the common flu. with the exception of evie, who i have not seen lately, a lot of the staff are severely lacking in customer service skills...and if the only place i could buy feed for my chickens was at tractor supply, i would give my chickens away. i will never set foot in this store again....and i always type in caps, but in this particular case i am shouting loud and clear. read more

I am really unsure where to begin. First i'll start with training. I noticed all the employees were still high school, which could be a good thing but in this case it wasn't. Second no one cared to train the two new girls I spoke to. Third i was directed and pawned off to different people instead of the more senior employees just handling the issues. Forth I will talk about Cesar. The front sales girl told me I couldn't by a certain product (due to its size) at the front and needed to speak with Cesar in the online help desk. I spoke to Cesar who had a cash register btw and told me i could not by it from him. He then just pointed to the same front girl who sent me to him and basically told me to get lost. I told him she just sent me to you and I had been waiting for you Cesar for over 15 minutes. Fifth i went back to the front and paid my $400.00 for the product and was told to wait outside to get my items. I drove my truck and waited approximately 20 minutes. I then called inside and was told by Areil or Arela that she'll come out when she's ready. ( The store only had about five customers inside) Finally Areil or Arela comes out doesn't help load the items stands talking to another new sales girl. Complaining about having to aell this particular item and its weight. As I go to reposition my truck cause shes not helping she says where you think your going ahhhhhh. More attitude. I temained cordial as she was not worth getting angry about it. I then politely smile and inform her i'm lowering my truck bed. I wont go into further detail of Areil or Arela unprofessional demeanor but the company ahould investigate her work ethic from the surveillance cameras. I would love for Undercover Boss to do a sting on this company. I'm almost certain Areil or Arela would be fired in about two minutes. Ahe would probably tell the boss off. read more
