This place has surprisingly good prices for most of their stock. I came here since a coworker recommended the 40lbs bag of pellet for cat litter for 6.99! Usually cat litter bags are 25-45 dollars and thus this is a good deal and something I'm looking forward to trying and hoping it works for my 3 cats. They has so much inventory and overall the place was clean and staff was friendly. read more

Worse customer service over the phone. Called about a product online to verify it was actually at the store. When I spoke to the CSR, they asked for the sku from the website. After being on hold I was told that the product sku didn't match what I was looking for. Instead of actually going to look for the product after I gave her the name and description, just told me they didn't have it while not even knowing what it was. Today I purchased some merchandise from your store in Santa Fe NM. I was driving a 1-ton 8ft bed crew cab pickup with a 16ft flatbed trailer. To exit the store and parking lot I had to go around the back of the store. However the exit was blocked by a parked forklift. Some time later the driver (who I assume was a TSC employee} told me I could not exit there and had to turn around. The limited space in a congested area was very impractical The forklift operator still insisted I could not go through. He took the keys from the forklift and went into hiding inside the back of the store. I had to jackknife my trailer to get turned around. It was obvious to me there was no reason why the driver could not move the forklift to permit myself and others from exiting. If TSC wants to demonstrate customer service this is the opposite. The performance of the driver was unacceptable. "words" were exchanged. I would hope this incident gets reported to the Santa Fe store and action taken. I would expect some follow up communication with me how this incident happened. Now when I have a choice of vendors for my livestock needs I will look to alternative stores. read more

They say they fill propane tanks. There is a big sign in the front that says so but I guess they have one employee that can do it and he was gone on Saturday and gone today as well (Monday). I love tsc but not this store in Santa Fe. Never have this problem in Abq so idk. If you need propane avoid this Santa Fe location and don't waste your time. read more

Waited 30 minutes to have my propane tanks filled, went into the store twice, then finally I was told that there was no one working who was certified to fill tanks. What wasn't I told this at the beginning and why isn't managers certified, I'm done shopping here read more

The Big R cashier went out of her way to tell me next time I need a propane fill, to just park by the propane tank and call in for an attendant to come out and fill my tank. This is really appreciated in a 12º wind chill. I've done this twice now and they're very prompt and helpful. Big R is across town from me. TSC is around the corner and ten cents cheaper. The first time I tried to fill from TSC I was told they had no one qualified to fill the tank except weekends. The banner out front advertising propane for $2.49/gal doesn't tell you that. On the second attempt on Saturday, I had asked them if I could do the same thing as Big R, was told no, come inside and we'll page for help. So my wife goes in, I take the tank over to their propane tank and I hear the page on the outdoor PA. After about ten minutes standing there in the wind, I go into the store and inform the guy apparently training the cashier that no one is out there. The guy makes clear his indifference to that statement but gets on the PA again. After nearly another ten minutes my wife comes out and I decide to head for Big R. Call for propane, guy comes out in 3 minutes or less and helps me. Like the first time, I bend over to pick up the tank but he carries it to my car. And they have 3 qualified people scheduled around the daily shift so you can always count on availability. More convenient and ten cents cheaper, but I'm not going back to TSC. I want to be clear that I am reviewing the Santa Fe NM store. I do not assume this to be the standard of all TSC. When I worked near Pittsfield MA, the store there was always helpful. I suspect the Santa Fe store could use more and/or better training. read more

Tractor Supply would get three stars but they lose a star by the way they handle propane sales and also how they answer the phone. They've been selling propane for a while now but for some reason just can't figure out how to keep it constant or hassle free for the customer. Getting propane there is hit and mis. They treat the propane as if they are handling a bio weapon of mass destruction or something. Often times, when their associates answer the phone they come off very unprofessional. The manager really needs to train the associate how to professionally answer the phone. Hopefully they'll get the propane issue resolved. read more

This place is the worst. So very very unreliable if you need propane. Which some people do - desperately. We got our tanks filled once! The next time we went, the guy who filled out tanks said he couldn't do it because his license expired. The next time we went, we had to wait for Heather to fill because...reasons. We called a third time to be sure someone would be there to fill and we were told they didn't have propane. The fourth time - the VERY LAST STRAW - we called again. Yes, they had propane. Yes, someone who be there to fill it after 4 ---- we drive the 20 miles down there & the person who fills propane was just GONE. What the heck is wrong with this place?! If you rely on propane for heat, as we do, DO NOT GO HERE. Absolute waste of time & fuel. Will never go to this place every again. read more

Some manager type man who was called to "help" a new cashier with my return was very rude and dismissive. I respectfully asked 2 reasonable questions, such as why am I not getting the full amount back, and why can't I have the refund put on my credit card. He barked at me and told me to go back to the ALBQ store where I made my purchase if I wanted those things. ( Because Santa Fe's sales tax is higher than ALBQ's you use lose money on a return - I didn't know, seemed like a straight forward question to ask.) Someone has since told me that stores lose money when they have to credit back an account -so that might be why even though I had my receipt and bought the items 3 days earlier, they wouldn't reverse the charges- I had to take cash or a gift card. I get it, but the guy was so unnecessarily RUDE. It must be very hard to find good help, because he didn't meet any minimum standard, certainly not manager or shift leader. What a role model for the new cashier. I'll only go back when I have to. read more
