I have lost a few feeders and also a few poles, due to bear attacks. One of them, we even was able to record. When the bear stood up to take the feeder down, we yelled and begged for him/her NOT to do it to us again! The pole was like a feather in its hand. YIKES! We have tried taking in the feeders at night, only to find that the racoons discovered one of our feeders that was left on the porch, only to find cute little paw prints in grape jelly everywhere! We can't expect the store to replace what we have lost due to animal attacks... Bears are pretty strong. I have been feeding the birds since I first discovered what I thought was a loose canary flying overhead, only to discover that nature has some incredible colors! It's been probably thirty five years now. Feeding the birds is what gets me through the winter... I am very appreciative that Wild Birds Unlimited has a store here... and while my budget has drastically been reduced, I do still go in when I am able. My poles have been modified and my feeders taped together, but I do manage to get in on occasion. Mark and Roseann are two of the sweetest folks you will ever meet. I find it odd that someone would write a negative review, so I think that something must have been off. I have never had a problem with something that needed to go back. They are extremely positive people.

He had that blacked out drunk look in his eyes where he was staring right through you. It was extremely uncomfortable. We put our stuff down and left. I'm not justifying my dogs actions but if you can't handle a dog having an accident in a pet store then you probably shouldn't own one - or don't allow pets in.

However, we've pleasantly been surprised by some of our clothing purchases and other, random necessities. They have an underrated selection of furniture, primarily couches, chairs, and tables, and I would easily by a few items for my finished basement if I lived closer. The classes went okay at first until the end of them when the trainer said we're going to work on "socializing". The other dog was much much larger and quickly came over to ours and overpowering, literally pinning our dog to the ground. The trainer stated that our dog would "bite or bark when they don't feel safe" but instead, our little dog simply lied down and peed himself because he was so scared... This evidently caused behavioral issues with our puppy and caused him to be scared of other dogs and strangers. HIGHLY do NOT recommend bringing your dog here to be trained... Also the prices of items there are absurd

When my key with new battery would not start my Toyota Corolla, Phl, the Manager, I believe, leaped in to help! At first he got the snow plow to try to jump start to no avail, but Phil stayed with me. He had the intelligence to finally realize my key had been wiped and had to be reprogrammed. He sat in the car on a busy, cold, snowy day with me managing the all call and reprogramming of my FREE new key! When we had to wait, he made sure I had a comfortable chair in the office and free popcorn. I was so touched by the whole operation - Phil saved me the expense of calling AAA or having to buy a new key and he waved off the plow driver who returned to ask for payment for trying (unsuccessfully) to jump start my car. I cannot say how grateful I am to Phil (from Liverpool) for his thoughtful kindness, expert attention, and thorough professionalism. I highly recommend you do business with him! I don't like bad pet stores, and I'm pretty vocal about it, so after reading all the terrible reviews online about this place, I decided to stop in to see if a pet store as bad as the reviews made it sound really existed. Boy am I glad that I did! The place has the same smell that any pet store that houses reptiles has; it isn't an offensive smell, and it ain't because the place is dirty. Far from it - this place is immaculate. The animals are obviously very well cared for, and they're all very, very tame, from the rodents to the reptiles. They've got the tamest sugar gliders I've ever seen anywhere, ever, and that includes at breeders. The gliders here come running to the door of the cage to beg for treats! The owner of the store, Stacy, was super nice and super friendly. She didn't avoid me, follow me around the store, or stare at my tattoos like most pet store employees do, and I appreciate that. I went in looking for a companion for my rat, who just lost his cage mate. There weren't any male rats on the sales floor, and she was kind enough to let me go out back with her to pick out my own from the breeder bins. The babies are obviously handled, since they weren't terrified and most of them were pretty content to be held. The cages were all immaculate and reasonably spacious, particularly by pet store standards. Many of the displays are hand made, and are pretty. Prices are very reasonable, especially for a small, privately owned store. The selection isn't what you'd find in a larger store, but this place is on the smaller side, and is absolutely packed to the brim with some pretty cool stuff. I didn't notice any dog or cat stuff, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there - I was just too busy looking at the bird and small animal stuff! Stacy took the time to walk me around the store, talk about the animals there, ask me about my plethora of pets, talk about the personalities of some of the critters in the store, and really took the time to have a conversation with me, and never tried to sell me anything. It was, as far as I'm concerned, the perfect pet store experience. If you're in to reptiles, fish, and small critters, this place is where it's at. It's highly recommended!

Big fish/little fish are way more knowledgeable and they care about there animals and helping you care for them the best you can. I (and my kids) like to visit often just to see whats new and also when i need any pets/feeders/fish even enclosures, or just some questions about the animals I already have. They also are involved in great causes, my kids did a coloring contests for a cause there!!! They have even had kids there for field trips to learn so awesome things about the animals!!
