I've been using the Walmart online ordering/pickup service since Covid, it's been SO nice to not have to step foot in that building unless absolutely necessary. Why are you gonna block our hard earned data if your just gonna have shitty wifi, I tried to connect and it needed my personal email and a whole account?? By the time I was done setting it up I was already at the exit ready to leave, yes It took a whole Walmart line to connect to the WiFi. But here's the crazy part, it didn't even work once it was connected and as soon as we left the parking lot I got full bars back. Wifi is not that expensive to what you guys have to spend to keep the speds at the door checking my receipt. read more

This is definitely one of your bigger Walmart locations. They are like a full service grocery store on top of being a Walmart but I was there to shop the clothing, home goods and other odds and ends so I was not particularly here for the grocery part of the store. The merchandise here is all neatly fronted and faced and it is not hard to find what you are looking for. I was especially drawn to the women's clothing area and I happened to find a couple of 100% cotton blouses and a nightshirt with a gorgeous rose pattern on a black background. I went and tried everything on and the fit was perfect. I also went to the department where they have storage items for sale and I picked up a plastic three drawer storage case. It is coming in handy. The employees here that I dealt with were all very helpful and looked like they were always willing to assist. I do the pick up/shop online, the packages look deceiving as the package looks bigger then it really is,Prices have jumped since covid-19, not there fault,but were all trying to save.the produce is fresh,bakery stuff is always yummy,cookies are fresh.The employees are super friendly too. read more

Don't get me wrong, if you're just looking to shop for cheap stuff while surrounded by questionable people, this Wal*Mart is every bit as good as any other Wal*Mart. However, if you're looking for any kind of service at their automotive center, save yourself the hassle and go to one of the many other available places in Rochester and the surrounding area. The first time I went to this auto center, it was to purchase four tires and have them installed. They were cheaper here than anywhere else, which was the main draw. I made an appointment, was told the tires I needed were in stock... only to arrive the next day and be told they did not, in fact, have the proper tire, and that the price I had been quoted was for an entirely different tire that couldn't legally be installed on my car. The only other option was almost $100 PER TIRE more expensive, although thankfully the manager did approve a partial discount for the mix-up. Because they did that, I decided to give them another chance. I've been getting oil changes here for a year or so now, and every time, it has taken at least an hour. Last time I went, I was told I had "a massive leak" which actually turned out to be a spill that one of their own employees had failed to clean up while changing the oil. Today, I went for the third time in two weeks to try to get an oil change again, and for the third time I was told that they were "too busy." They also refused to make an appointment for a later date, so I informed them that I will not be back. I took my car to Prompto on the other side of Rochester and had an oil change in less than ten minutes, within $2 of the same price as Wal*Mart. I will not ever be back. Prompto gets my business from now on. read more

Being that my summer place is in Alton, this is the closest store with good prices on everything. I was looking for a fan and Hannaford in Alton didn't have one, so off to Walmart I went. This location sits on Route 11, Farmington Road, right next to the large new shopping center "Ridge Marketplace" that was recently built. This store is a supercenter and has everything you'd expect from a normal Walmart and more like a deli, produce, meat and more (in Massachusetts that is more and more popular among the Walmart locations there.... don't know if it's the same for other NH stores). This store is gigantic with three entrances, a pharmacy, a large garden center, and a Online Pickup spot in the back of the store. Self checkout is available, and a Dunkin Donuts and nail place are inside the store. Returns are at the front of the store (middle entrance is the best for that), and the checkout lines never seem to be too long in general. The selection in every department seemed well stocked and large, and they had everything I needed and some other great deals in the clearance section. Now, I didn't come just to get a fan, and get some other stuff, but the fans weren't even in the appropriate place. Now, they should be in the Storage and Organization department, not on display at the end of Register #12. Supposedly they ran out of them, so they moved any additional boxes of fans they got in to the front of the store. Didn't seem like a smart idea to me.... Anyway, this is a good store in the area, but definitely not my favorite Walmart. 4 stars for the Rochester Walmart, the standard, gigantic store, with the discount prices any person likes. read more

This is about the Auto Center only. The rest of the store is OK. Very disappointed in management and policy of this one. Bought tires @ Walmart.com and scheduled installation. All sites including Toyota, Cooper Tires, Tire rack, etc. and theirs when I purchased confirmed they were a fit. After driving 30 miles for my appointment it took them over an hour to say they couldn't mount them due to the factory tire size on the door jamb was different. First the manager overrode the mechanics and said we were good. But 45 minutes later when I check up the manager sided with the mechanics because some vague reference book they had said the size I had showed on aluminum wheels. I guess Sears missed that 8 years and 60,000 miles ago with the same size tires as purchased, even though they saw them on the vehicle. The folks that helped me were very nice and accommodating considering this store has them running around like the proverbial chicken. Fortunately one counter person suggested going to The Tire Guys down the street. They were great. Had my tires on and drove away 45 minutes later. While I waited at Walmart I observed a family of senior citizens wait almost an hour for them to check out a screw in one of their tires. After 15 minutes of them seeing their car on the rack they were told no screw. They had written down the wrong tire location at the counter, and it took about 45 more minutes to just remove it. I will not ever even think about anything besides buying tires there. read more

This review is for Walmart.Com.... I placed an order on Sept 8th for crutch tips. It was from a 3rd party vendor, Senior.com. I was notified 9/12 it was SHIPPED and arriving 9/18. Then 9/20 notified and adjustment and refund to my card. No reason given. I called Walmart CHAT, they said few days to look into it. I did not hear from Walmart for over a week so ANOTHER note to Walmart. They now said out of stock, they refunded my money, nothing else. I was notified by Walmart it HAD SHIPPED. Walmart "Customer Service" I thought I'd save time shopping at Walmart today due to the varied goods I needed to purchase. Big mistake! On a Monday the place was busy! I completed my shopping and proceeded to check-out. Two registers were servicing many customers about ten deep. I was forced to "scan and go". A novel concept in which I, the paying customer gets to perform the duties previously done by paid employees. As I've always managed to avoid this travesty (I'm of the mind-set trained employees should be designated to this task). Following my griping a very pleasant employee "Amanda" volunteered to help. "I don't mind" she cheerfully exclaimed. Several of the items required her to look up the SKU'S and type into the scanner. They didn't match. We then had to discard the bags and run each item back through another register. This entire process took about 20 minutes. The poor employee kept apologizing and I felt bad for her, as well as me. Clearly Walmart is attempting to reduce their workplace over head by eliminating the register employee and getting the paying customer to volunteer our time to increase the Walton's wealth. The heirs of Sam are worth 155 billion according to a 2019 survey. Indeed two of them are among the thirty wealthiest people in America. When is enough wealth, enough? For me, I'm avoiding any of these entities that practice this form of retail abuse. Bye Walmart! read more

I'm writing in regard to your Wal-Mart groceries pick up service. I initially tried contacting you directly through your survey to let you know of how horrible my last experience was (last 3 experiences actually) but nobody saw fit to even send me an apology email. Unbelievable!! They must have had a staffing change or something because their service used to be much much better. I have a very large family and spend a few hundred dollars per week in this store. To not call or even send an email or anything at all after my last experience was HORRIBLE including food quality issues is appalling. I'm about to leave to do this weeks shopping at Hannaford instead! My last visit, I received 5 mangos that were get soft (over ripe), I had to wait quite a while upon arrival even though I checked in ahead of time, both of my loaves of bread was bagged with heavy items such as heavy cans of vegetables. Then, I missed putting this last one on the survey I submitted because I didn't look at the date until I was ready to cook it, but the large 10 pound bag of chicken I bought was sold to me with only a couple days left to the "use or freeze by date". Usually the use or freeze by date is about a week after the purchase date on these big bags of chicken. When I went to cook it and noticed the date, I had to throw them out instead. Bad chicken, bad mangos, multiple loaves of squished bread and not so much as a reply to apologize from the survey I submitted!! You just lost thousands in business per year from me. I consistently spend a few hundred per week there because my family is so large (which Hannaford will now get that business) and at Christmas time, with a household size of 8 plus neices and nephews I usually spend about $2,500 for christmas shopping all together... Most of which in your store, but will now instead spend it online, but not a single penny with Wal-Mart!!!! read more

Walmart is a great place to shop with friendly people

I was at the store in Rochester, NH today with my husband. We both had our masks on and were keeping our social distancing from people. Along comes a women with 2 children (approximately 8-10 years old) with NO MASKS on any of them!!! And she was not the only person I saw in there walking around with NO MASK!! It make me very upset to see these people walking around the store as if they do not have a care in the world. I wanted so badly to say something to her but my husband stopped me. We told the girl at the entrance about our problem with this woman and her children. She told us that if the woman had a breathing problem she did not have to wear a mask and if the children were under 5 they did not need them either! I find it hard to believe all 3 of them had breathing problems!!! Someone from the store should be walking around and confronting these people who think the rules do not apply to them. It seems as if nothing is being done about these people and my life is not important enough to bother with them and tell them to put on the mask or leave the store !!! Something needs to be done about these people or we will never get this epidemic under control!!! Sorry but I just had to get this off my chest - it really got to be today!!!!!! Ellen O. read more

simple oil change. I told them that my 2105 silverado took 8 quarts of oil. He said he would scan it and get the mileage. Told 30 to 45 minutes. 1 hour later, a go to get my truck. Bill stated 6 quarts of oil. Check level when I got home and sure enough, down two quarts. Never again!!!! read more

Really great store! In terms of Walmart stores, it really is a 5 star store. Incredible variety, fresh seafood and produce are just a couple of the neat things this place has to offer. I went there expecting to have to make a trip to another store afterwards to get all the stuff on my list but ended up not needing to. You can even refill your 5 gallon water jugs here! This Walmart refuses to collect their shopping carts from the surrounding areas, it's only a matter of time before someone pushing their cart down Farmington rd causes an accident. Surely all their abandoned carts are driving up the prices in the stores, I guess its easier for them to pass the cost of new carts on to consumers than take control of the situation and fix the theft and abandonment shopping carts. read more

Management is either nonexistent, mentally incapable, or desperately requires training. WTF is the deal with the register tease? 100 registers, 1 or 2 open, folks standing around like zombies. beautiful store- really has everything and is nicely stocked and clean....the employee in the garden center today, Pat, kept me from giving this store 5 stars. she would not answer a question for me; she was busy fawning all over a man who need propane and could have had one of the associates outside give him a tank. the cashier inside of the store was great; it seems that the lousy employees are in the seasonal section. read more

I can't really give them a horrible review, but I almost never see employees while walking around the store. If you need help with something you will have to go on the hunt for someone, but overall it's a good store. read more
