We were really happy with the range of items to choose from and ordered great quality furniture for a really manageable price. When the deadline came for getting the furniture in, not everything had been delivered. Kyle arranged for brand new furniture from the store to cover us until the complete order arrived. Then they came back and redelivered still no charge.....removing the " loaner " furniture and completing our order. These guys are a class act and really covered our butts for our first rental. I was on my way out when she appeared and made a crack about me yelling. The no sale went as follows.Custom order of the rocker in a different color takes 10 weeks and will have to be picked up in Barrington. I told her I was a few miles from the N Hampton store and that I would like to pick up where I ordered. she said she would try but she doubts it. then she charges me $145 more than what the rocker was tagged. she ripped off the tag and said it was a mistake and I could buy the one outside for that price but not the ordered one. Total waste of time, no Rocking chair purchased and a rude and unhelpful sales person. after purchasing four adirondlacks from them last year, I will never shop there again

I had been searching for local furniture stores and though I often use Yelp, I finally went…read moreelsewhere to find one. Low and behold, I read about Seavey's in Portsmouth (with parking!) which apparently is in a new location. It is a light-filled factory building space but not overwhelming. It is set up so you want to walk around and try things out. Much of the furniture brings you back to the 50's. Some pieces are works of art! But many were beautiful but affordable. And made in this country! And it is locally owned! Which is what I wanted. Michael the owner is friendly and informed. And no pressure. He spent a lot of time with us trying to choose pieces for our limited space. We have swatches at home now to make decisions and look forward to returning to work with him. Maybe the categories on Yelp need to be switched up with furniture stores at the top so you don't miss going here first.

Seavey's has great (free!) delivery, and every time we visit there are a ton of new items. All modern/mid-century, and from different brands. You can't go wrong with a visit or purchase. They are a local business that we want to and will continue to support.

It seems they keep all the decent stuff tucked away and hidden in the back. I managed to buy a good set of dining room chairs, although they were a bit overpriced. That took a while. I can already tell the kind of people they want to attract to this store. People who have poor taste and just want non quality, whimsical, cornball items in their house.

The quality of their furniture is top-notch, but what really set this experience apart was the exceptional customer service -- especially from Kyle. Kyle was fantastic to work with. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and above all, transparent with pricing. He took the time to understand our needs and helped us find exactly what we were looking for, without going over our budget. It didn't feel like a sales pitch -- it felt like genuine help. After visiting several other stores, the experience at Bernie & Phyl's was a breath of fresh air.
