When I expressed my displeasure she tried to back pedal and make alternative suggestions, but I have had enough of her passive aggressive behavior toward me and my (very well behaved) dog. Luckily, we were staying close by. I would recommend calling first to see what the availability is for the washtub if you are going there to self wash your dog. I do think $20 is a little pricey since TSC offers the same service for $9.95. Unfortunately, there isn't a TSC for 30 miles away that offers it though.

Hay is absolute shit, often riddled with weedy invasives that the horses won't touch--in some cases partially rotted bales are brought out to boarding horses. Pastures are flooded with buttercups in the spring, indicating acidic soil about which nothing has been done in at least two seasons. Fields are being taken over by prickly amaranth and other invasives. Run-in sheds are collapsing and in some cases dangerous. Post-Helene, fences stayed down--with wire all over the field--for well over a month. Overall conditions for horses are poor and less than safe. Poor fencing that is aged and badly in need of replacement. Very often horses are forced to be in standing water and mud. There's a reason field board is so cheap here relative to other farms with better accommodation. Farm is under resourced and the land owner is not a fair employer. Underpaid hands and poor working/living conditions. Do not board your horse here.

I would like to tell you my story of dealing with David Hicks and the Lake Anna Hardware company: I purchased a new 2022 Branson 2515H tractor with backhoe, roof and thumb. I broke a hinge on the backhoe. Talked to David and he said no problem and warranted a new hinge for my backhoe. Next time I broke a boom, and again David warranted it out without argument. As time passed, I broke the hinge again. I did not have to ask David for anything. David jumped right on the problem and warranted me out an entire new Backhoe. I have never heard of a car or tractor company replacing your entire unit without even being asked. I have dealt with car companies on warranted repairs before and you always have to complain and then they want you to justify things before they will do repairs. But not at Lake Anna Hardware. You have a problem and their team fixes it. Never have I ever had any company offer an entire whole new unit. I didn't even ask David for it. He just felt it was the right thing to do. A new backhoe costs around $7,000. I have never dealt with such a great company. I totally recommend Lake Anna Hardware and Branson for any of your needs. Both companies work hard to keep their customers happy.

He found exactly what he needed -- a can of rust treatment ($6.00) and spray paint ($5.50). This store generally has products to meet our hardware needs and the staff are always helpful, though the prices seem a little higher than big box stores. That said, we appreciate not having to drive the much longer distances to the big box stores.

Although a reward was offered, Carrie refused it. While we were in her store, we noticed how welcoming and well-stocked it was, and what great items she carries. It is a great place to find whatever you need for your furbabies. Thanks' to Carrie, we were able to enjoy the holidays with Teddy, instead of anguishing over what might have happened to him. This means that many groomers are not willing to take him on since he can't stand on his own. But he's used to being groomed and the groomer where I used to live always told me that he was sweet and well-behaved. Samantha was just wonderful with him today. I was very nervous because of terrible experiences with other groomers in the area that I had tried. But Samantha was very patient and listened attentively to all my concerns. She was ready to take him when I walked in and he was ready to go at the exact time she told me he would be ready. Pricing was in line with what other's have charged. Our dog literally gets so incredibly excited to go to the…read moregroomer... which I can't figure out for the life of me bc he is crated (he isn't at home) AND bathing/brushing him at home is a nightmare. Safe to say it must be their personal touch. He is a Portuguese Water Dog (so have to groom every 8-10 weeks) and he always comes back looking great. Very receptive to tweaks when we decided we liked his ear fur shorter and head less round. and now as a repeat customer, they know exactly what we want which is super helpful so either me or my husband can do the drop offs without having to attempt to describe what he should look like instead of the overgrown fluff ball standing in front of them.
