This is my go to spot to buy nuts and bolts, sold by the pound! Much cheaper than going to other retailers. They have a good selection of poultry/livestock, chickens and ducks. Small section of hydraulics and tractor parts. When purchasing bolts, the cashier didn't know how to change the scale from ounces to pounds. I told her there are 16 ounces in a pound, and since the bolts weighed 32 ounces, it was 2 pounds. She didn't believe me and had to find a different scale. read more

I bought 20 chickens on the 1st, 10 of them being these Rare Standard Package Chickens. I picked them up as soon as they arrived at my local post office. When I picked them up, the clerk said "Oh, you're here for the dead chickens." They had been dead for at least 2 days. I am being refunded my money, but this is inhumane to the chickens. All 20 of them were put in a tiny box(a little smaller than a shoe box) with no food and no water. These are guaranteed LIVE and I expected maybe a few to not make it, but ALL 20?! This can't be okay. Do not order online, go into the stores and buy what they have in stock instead or purchase from a local chicken farm. UPDATE: they still not have refunded me and have also deleted my review from their website for 'containing legally sensitive content'. DO NOT ORDER CHICKENS FROM THEIR WEBSITE. read more

Today I visited tractor supply to purchase two dog leashes. The supply of collars and leashes was limited. I found two leashes that met my needs. The pricing was much better than Petsmart or PetCo. The store has overhead signs to get you to the general vicinity of what you're looking for. Leash supplies were in the general vicinity of pet supplies. I didn't need anything else there I'm not sure how well their store compares to similar ones. The cashiers were friendly and seemed in tune with making sure the flow of customers was handled for their purchases. It was a good first tone experience. read more

I use to go here to get basic supplies and tools. I have spent thousands of dollars at this store, which I now wish I had not. Yesterday, I go to just pick up some dog food before they closed at their new time. A shopping trip that would have taken all of thirty seconds, because I do it weekly. They turned multiple people away at the door because "they had too many people in the store already, and they are about to close," which they weren't closing for another fifteen minutes. I don't give a damn about this Covid-19 crap. I'm an individual that works from 6 am to 5 pm every single day, and your personnel is making it fucking impossible for the people that actually have to go to work to be able to get to your store in time to just get basic supplies. Absolute garbage. If you had "too many people in the store already" then why did you let so many people into the store in the first place? I placed an order online for curbside pickup, received both an email and a text that the order was ready however later that day when I went to pick up the items I was informed by one of the employees they had failed to set my order aside and had subsequently sold all the parts of the order. I was then informed they would have additional parts of the order the next day and for me to call. I understand things can happen and orders can get mixed up so I did as asked and called the next day. I was subsequently informed they would not be receiving any items of the order for several shipments but that they would 'place a special rain check order.' Friendly staff, curbside pickup is really convenient, good selection of things needed for yard work especially mower parts. Some items are really pricey like new tires for wheel barrows but compared to ace hardware I guess its fair. They do propane refills without charging a minimum unlike the other places in Galt which is nice. read more

Two weeks ago I went in the Tractor Supply store to order a safe. I was told they would call when it arrived. They called a few days ago, two weeks later and said it had arrived. I just drove a half hour to pick it up. When I got there, a lady nonchalantly called up some tractor supply friends from across the way, gossiped a little bit and waltzed to the back to "check" for the safe. Turns out the safe was missing so we stood at the counter and waited until they could "find it" (not sure where a safe could just drift off and disappear). So they ended up giving us a safe they had in lay away for a different customer and before leaving, the woman told us that next time we should get a paper for proof as if that's not the employee's job to give us the paper before promising to call when the safe is ready for pick up. Came in to buy a dog kennel and extra panels was also going to purchase a jacket total would have been over $700 waited at the customer service counter - no assistance, walked to the front asked if someone could come help us. Supposedly someone was called. Waited another 15 min - saw a manager walking by who just looked at us standing there and kept walking so then I asked if he could help us. He came over - I showed him what I was looking for - he proceeds to use the monitor that was facing my side of the counter as they didn't have it in their stock. I needed to locate one in a surrounding store. He kept saying YOU can do this, I asked if they could check with the store to confirm if they have one. He said YOU can call. So I turned to him and asked - is this not the customer service counter? He just looked at me. So I said I am good and walked out - not a word from him. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION - the shittiest service I have ever had! If I wanted to do this myself I would self check out or order online and not come into the damned store!! Its the only place in Galt where we can get the brand of dog and cat food we feed our animals so we frequent it a lot because they're bottomless pits.Everyone is always friendly, the store is very clean, you can get pretty much anything you need at this store as well (animal food, plants, camping gear, clothes, etc etc). If you've got a little piece of property and critters that occupy it, then TSC is a great place for farm stuff - fencing, sprinkler parts, welding equipment and supplies, books and magazines to teach you what you didn't know you didn't know, and even paint for your barn - Barn Red, duh! - and for your tractor - John Deere green! There's even a free seasonal magazine called "Out Here" that you'll love flippin' through and a colossal catalog for those things you need but aren't in stock. Pretty much our favorite place to wander around if we're bored - a great selection of Wrangler jeans 'n shirts, Carhartt work clothes and jackets, Ariat boots 'n shoes, and - my personal favorite - American West purses, wallets, and key fobs. There's also critter food - chickens, goats, horses, dogs, cats - and even some vet supplies if you need to give 'em shots or heal up scrapes and scratches. **BIG TIP: We bought a combo shot vaccine for our new puppy for under $10 that the vet wanted to charge us $80 to give her! We'd never given an animal a shot before, but after a short YouTube lesson and a visit to an online pet info site, my daughter made it look like she'd been doing it for years. My dog comes in with me every time and they always have treats for her. They're wonderful about telling us about deals, friends and family nights, day sales, etc. If you take the time to be a good customer you'll get great service. I will NEVER, EVER take my dogs to the PetVet Clinic at Tractor Supply for vaccinations again!! I have always used my vet so this was my first time. I got there at 9:55 a.m. with my two mini queensland mixes and waited 45 minutes before the line even moved. When they finally took our information, I told her I needed everything, including the 5-way, rabies, flu vaccine, heartworm test, and Trifexis. The total came to a godawful $374 for 2 dogs! The price breakdown was NEVER DISCUSSED so only assumed everything I'd requested was included. They don't give you a receipt in the store. It wasn't until I got home and read the receipt that they emailed to me that I saw the DHPP was missing. They didn't give the series to either of my dogs!! According to their website, that would have been another $75 per dog. I called the 800 number who checked with their staff at Tractor Supply, who LIED and said we had asked for those vaccines to be removed because we didn't want to pay the price. She then said that staff told her the that the charges had been fully explained to me and that the wait was nowhere near one hour!! I am furious. Ironically, none of us in line knew what the charges were and were asking questions amongst ourselves to find out. Why on earth would I have asked for the most important series to be removed after telling them I was going on vacation and needed to kennel my dogs? We didn't get out of there until 11:10 a.m. because the staff was so ridiculously slow and incompetent. I now have to take my dogs to my vet, pay the office visit and exam fee, plus the DHPP fees (and still another $80 for flu booster in 3 weeks. The money doesn't bother me as much as the stress my dogs went through waiting there for over an hour and then having staff lie to cover their ass because they screwed up and didn't put the orders in. I think the Clinic at Tractor Supply is separate but this really makes them look bad too. read more

Went here to buy a safe. I specifically asked if there were new ones in the back a because the floor models had some scuffs and Knicks. I was told they did by the manager. He says that he thought they had new ones but he was wrong and that another employee was going to grab a floor model. I asked if there was a discount involved in that being that it's out of the box with scuffs. He rudely says "no those are just fine" I was kind of shocked. I said really? There is nothing you can do after I specifically asked if there were brand new ones in the back? (Mind you I had already paid) I told him that was whack. He says "how so? I can call another location to see if they have some" I reply I drove here the other location was at least an hour away. At this point I almost want to reverse the transaction and take my business elsewhere, but I've already drove here, took time looking at floor models ect. Then he just walks away without saying another word to me. Minutes later another guy comes out and says the other floor model seems to be in better condition and to see if I wanted to take that one. I drove a half hr already to get there and it did have less scuffs so I decided to take it despite the manager and his crap customer service. I was getting a safe and it doesn't have to be pretty, but if you are paying for a brand new item. It should be in brand new condition. The employees that loaded didn't say much but we're polite. The manager never came back to say anything to me. Not even a sorry, but my hands are tied, nothing. At the end of the day, this is not a reflection on the store of products they sell.
