Went here to get my cat vaccinated and the cat escaped his crate and I could not find him. The employees did a search and he was not found. I left the store heartbroken. I came to the store daily calling his name to no avail. 5 days later, I received a message that they had found and trapped my cat . We go out of our way from Smyrna to come here for dog food. The employees seem friendly and are willing to go to the back to the warehouse to make sure they are out of the product I am looking for which I do appreciate very much. We buy the 4 Health brand because they have grain-free kibble and it seems like my dog likes it after trying many different brands over the past year. Our pup is a picky eater so I am glad to finally find a kibble she likes. The 4 Health can of beef and chicken seems like a winner for our pup as well. I guess its like the dog's version of pate. If my dog keeps liking her food, I will keep making the trek to come here. The price is right and its a good brand of dog food. read more

We bring our propane tanks here to get filled, as it is much cheaper to fill them than change them out, also you can see that you are actually getting a full tank. Their selection of bolts and hardware is really good. Some of their stock is on the pricey side and they do not give military discount like Home Depot or a Lowes does. read more

I absolutely love this location. The staff is always helpful and very friendly, they don't mind taking the time to talk to you about what you're needing. I have no issue with the store itself. I mostly buy dog food there. Their 4 health brand is good and not bad price compared to some. My biggest issue with this place is that it takes no less than 15 min to check out every time I'm there. carts here are scarce so I'm usually lugging my 35lb bag of dog food, which isn't a big deal until I have to stand there with it forever. I will also say be careful of which bones you buy from there. I bought some for my dogs and in only a few minutes they were splintering and had become dangerous so I had to take them away. read more

Granted, I can get many things at the closer Feed and Seed but where Standard is creepy, dark, rude, and generally upsetting TSC is bright, open, and willing. Down home country it's not. Far, far, away, it is. But it seems to be ALWAYS open. I can have things I need ordered if they are not already in stock.They're very helpful both in person and on the phone... which I consider a serious bonus since I live over an hour away and driving out there is a pain. I haven't had an experience where the staff didn't know what they were doing or couldn't help me but it is sometimes hard to find someone on the sales floor. read more

A few years ago I had a project car. As some of you may know, when you work on a project car you need many things. Tools, nuts, bolts, blood, sweat, money, dedication.. So about the only thing I had enough of in this was blood and sweat. Although I didn't receive any money from Tractor Supply, it was a joy to shop here. We purchased a very large air compressor (larger than you can get at most stores) so that it would outpace our sandblaster and pneumatic tools. The compressor does an excellent job of this and made the restoration project worlds easier. The knowledgeable staff (although sparse and not always the friendliest, but still present) helped us make decisions when we needed their assistance. The "old fashioned" style buckets for nuts and bolts made getting them by the bag MUCH easier. All in all, this is the way all hardware stores USED to be, and the way more of them should be. I would recommend TSC for any of those obscure parts/tools you need but cant find at your local Lowes or Home Depot. I didn't finish that project car. I got as far as a restored rolling chassis with engine and sold it. I miss the car, but my wallet and I are on speaking terms again. Perhaps one day we'll revisit that with another project vehicle. If that day comes.. I will be a frequent customer once again. read more

This is more to vent than anything. I doubt someone will care. I also doubt anyone on their board will care. So I will not buy their stock again We have been shopping at TS for many, many years. We have bought baby chicks from there and raised them with their supplies. Recently, we went into the store to purchase the same oil we have done in the past. We would rather order from a local business then go through Amazon. But, there wasn't any oil on the shelf. We asked them to order us three bottles. Almost a month later we received a call advising us they were in. We went to the store within 24 hours to pick them up. When we arrived, we were told there was only one bottle left for us because another employee sold the other two bottles to another customer. We left angry. Not only did we wait almost a month for the oil, we drove from South Cobb to get there. I cant think of any reason to go back to the Tractor Supply if this is how they do business. read more

We bought a $500 dog kennel for online we show up to pick it up we have the improper vehicle (our fault) so we agreed to come back the next day in the rental truck to get it, put a SOLD sticker on it with my name and number, we show up the next day to get it and they sold it to somebody else. Thank god T.J. was working because the managers Gary and Kim decided not to help while we stood in the outside pickup area with our rental truck. Throughout the whole process we never dealt with a manager only T.J. How are they selling something that's already sold? Get your inventory right but more importantly get your customer service right. T.J. showed nothing but politeness and understanding. Kim informed us this happens so I would not trust spending your money online unless you are in their store and see it with your eyes. You'd think spending $500 on one product they'd try to work something out but they decided to let T.J figure it out. Give that man the manager job. read more

If I had to sum up everything that is wrong with American culture, I'd do it with three words: Tractor Supply Co. The one retail category that should remain sacred--untouched by corporate hands--at least in my mind, is farming. OK, perhaps that's a pipe dream given that most farming in our country is, in fact, very, very corporate, but I take serious issue with this reality. Many (including all but one or two of the in-town) mom n' pops of the industry have been driven out of business by (among other things) the money grubbing big box that is Tractor Supply Co. And I fear that they are driving more and more of the rural farm supply stores out of business every day. When you go to a feed store, you are supposed to find a whole bunch of specialty products that would baffle the untrained eye and whose only hint at implementation is an icon of a pig, sheep or other similar livestock/plant. An old man in overalls (who you know by name and who knows you by name) is supposed to greet you and help you with your purchase, offering advice that spans the seasons--and the decades. His grandson is supposed to load your pick-up truck. A few cats should be milling around the premises. Other, like-minded outdoorsy types are supposed to be on-hand for shootin' the shit (be it swine, bovine or equine) and swapping tips on de-worming a large herd. Baby chicks are most likely available on a seasonal basis. And you should drive away with everything you need...some of the items will arrive back at the store in about a week (they had to be special ordered, but they were, at no extra charge). That's the way it is supposed to be. Generations upon generations of Americans did it this way, and were happy--not frustrated or annoyed. It's not that way anymore. And Tractor Supply Co. doesn't have any of the amenities that I described above, well unless you count the frustrated and annoyed bit. At Tractor Supply Co., many items are out of stock, most of the employees (at the front registers, mind you, since there are none to be found walking the aisles) have no idea what they are selling and it's Home-Depotish in the sense that there is never a single, trained employee around to help you out or offer sage advice; actually, there is nobody around period until you decide to check out and then there is a really, really long line (it almost drove me, a straight and sorta narrow, to shoplift with reckless abandon). I guess I can get used to the fact that most farming, especially on a small scale, must now be done on line. But I mourn the days-gone-by when an interested party walked down to the general store to "make groceries" and "jot down" to the proprietor what was needed for this year's season. Still, if we have to spend our hard-earned dollars somewhere that specializes in what we need for our farm fantasy, even if it is some kind of crappy big-box, it should at least be nice and shop-able. Not totally and completely sucky. Right? Boo to you Tractor Supply Co. You swooped down with your deep pockets and your fancy sign and made it hard for smaller scale operations to compete. Then you decided that, unlike your foundering competitors, you would offer nothing in the way of customer service to your patrons. Way to go. Sure, you charge a dollar or two less. But is it worth it? I say no. Though your web site is nice (which is the only thing that earns them the second star) compared to your hell-on-earth of a store, it will be hard for me to give you a single penny more of my business. read more

I really can get everything from Standard Feed and Seed and it's closer to me. None of the tractor supply locations are close by and the only thing I really need from them is goat chow. The hay is more expensive than at standard feed and seed and so is the sweet feed. But the store itself has a better overall presentation and doesn't have that creepy feel to it. read more

The people are always friendly at this location. The prices are a little higher than the local farm supply stores. I called this store (115 Greystone Power Blvd, Dallas, GA 30157) to inquire about pricing for fence wire, (their main web-site says to check pricing at individual stores) and was treated extremely rude on the phone by three different people! They sounded very aggravated to help me! I am very surprised by their terrible attitude toward a customer. I was going to buy a lot of fence wire for livestock, but not now, I'll go somewhere else. Money is hard to come by these days and I will be spending mine at another farm supply store that appreciates my business. People should treat paying customers better, it is our money that keeps them in business and makes their paychecks! read more

Good products, terrible staff. Just a bunch of rude clock punchers. I bought a 600.00 welder and the staff had to get it out for me , they acted like it was gonna kill em. Another time an expensive compressor, same story. Needed some welding cable cut another trip, took them half an hour to get over there then three trips to back to get a cutting tool then it was bolt cutters which of course did not work and that was the manager who was rude also ( at least they are consistent ) I should have brought my own cutters in. Seems like they should be glad to sell stuff and support the fact that it takes money to create their paycheck. I have to go up there today for welding gas I am sure thats really goona piss em off and if it does I will call corporate and do all I can with it and that will be my last trip there which means driving to another store ( not TC) further away.
