Since I work full time, he needs to be socialized during the day with other dogs as opposed to being in a crate and play with different dogs than my other two at home. Isn't the point of doggie day care to help with socialization and get exercise for a pup that is otherwise crated during the day? When I noticed that they noted that he was 2 years as opposed to 7 months I called and spoke to someone who then said that sometimes pups regress at this age and other things and they proceeded to tell me that there are other day cares that might be a better fit. That right there ended the conversation for me, obviously they only want specific perfect dogs and not those that may need some help. They want the easy dogs and have enough dogs going where they felt they did not needed my business. I would never bring a dog to them with that attitude, it does not speak favorably of them. As a side note, I work with several different rescues as a foster home and have fostered over 20 puppy mill releases and taught them how to be real dogs and placed them in great homes, my other dogs at home are rescues as well. I have worked with dog behavior specialists and have an understanding of dog behavior.

The owners are a wonderful couple who are SO FLEXIBLE, they allowed me to drop off and pick up at the times of the services , and took such great care of him. Flint came home happy and tuckered right out from his busy day with his new friends. The facility is COVID friendly, clean and beautiful. Conveniently located just out of the town of McGraw. I would recommend this place 100x over for a safe loving environment for your fur babies. The path that lead me to Cornell was not a pleasant one, my dog was unable to walk or even stand…read morewithout being assisted, having been misdiagnosed by my local vet in Orchard Park with arthritis and sent home each time with more pain meds, I decided to call Cornell knowing if anyone could help him, this was the place, I knew in my gut that it was more then arthritis. My first step was to schedule an appointment at which time I spoke with Lisa who went above and beyond to get me an appointment as soon as possible. She was compassionate and caring and very pleasant to speak with, she was able to get me in quickly and I appreciate all she did to get us that appointmant. I drove the three hours to Cornell and was assisted by staff members that took great care getting him out of my van and into the building , my boy was 150 pounds and not easy to lift especially because he could not even help himself get up. Within a short period of time after being examined they knew it was not arthritis , rather a neuromuscular disease. My dog was admitted for five days and started getting better with the meds that they were giving him. that's when I met Dr. Lin. I have no words that can describe what a wonderful, compassionate person she is. She went out of her way to accommodate me so I could visit him while he was in the hospital and in keeping constant phone contact with me on his condition when I was not there. The care and kindness that she showed us was amazing, she felt like a friend that felt my pain. I brought my boy home and he was doing a little better, I had hope. Dr Lin still stayed in contact with me and guided me over the next two weeks on his meds and progress. After showing improvement where Harley could get up on his own and walk a little for a few days, he took a turn for the worse and the disease took over. unable to stand or walk even while being assisted and just collapsing with no quality of life I with a heavy heart had to let my best friend cross the rainbow bridge. Even tho the outcome was not what I wanted it to be Dr, Lin gave me a few more weeks with my boy and I will forever be grateful to her and the amazing staff at Cornell Companion Hospital. The understanding,kindness and compassion they showed from beginning to end will forever remain in my heart.

I remember them helping my un horse savvy mother Xmas shop for me as a kid. They helped her every step of the way. They are some of the kindest people I've met. I love bringing my foster daughter in here to look at Breyer horses and someone will always start a conversation. Everyone in the horse community is extremely thankful for this business.
