This weekend, I got my first (used) kayak! Thrilled that everyone who works here knows about the products they sell and is eager to help others start an activity or upgrade. Very impressed by their willingness to buy back items so you can upgrade to the next best thing. And you can test out all the boats and boards on the wee pond out back. I would pay a bit more for this kind of service but actually spent less than the big box. Love love love supporting a small business! Was crazy busy so we had to be patient but no biggie. I bought my first pair of boots from them six years ago and haven't needed to come back! My sister gave me a gift card and they didn't have anything in stock that I wanted so they let me browse their vendor catalogs. I ended up getting a pair of Cobb hill boots and my goodness have they held up! I've had to change out the laces, and the heel is starting to wear down but they still look great and professional for winter office wear! Mind you I wore these almost everyday some seasons with a .75 mile walk each way into the office from my parking lot. I'm just amazed by the quality of product that they have in stock. I've never had a pair of dress boots last like that! So because of my great experience we went again to look for shoes for my husband while we were back in the area visiting family (we now live about an hour away). Unfortunately they didn't have a great selection of dress shoes for men, so we didn't end up getting anything. We would have opted to order again but since we lived far away and it would have required us to drive back another day, we didn't. I almost got another pair of boots though (even though I don't need them). The only thing that's odd is how they sit down next to your feet while you try on the boots... oh well.

We came in the morning on a weekday. Unfortunately, a lot of the animals were napping (lots of nocturnals) but we still have a nice time. This zoo is in a park and there are a lot of trees and shades -- it doubles as a walking path. I noticed that there were lots of benches throughout, which is nice. There was also cute decor like gnomes, fairy gardens, and animal statues. Standouts were the sand cats, penguins, lemurs, and red pandas. There were wolves, arctic foxes, and lots of other neat critters. At the front there's a petting zoo with sheep and goats, and you can feed them if you buy a cup of chow from the gift shop. In the gift shop, I noticed they sell art prints made by the animals, which is super cute! I noticed a bus stop across the street, so it seems accessible by public transit. The park its within has a lot of really neat play features too, so you could definitely make an afternoon of it. The price is right. It's only about $10 a ticket for admission, and like $2 - $3 for petting zoo food. Which, in this economy especially, is fantastic. Cute place. Worth checking out!

She at this point was just rude tell me it was such an inconvenience to be on hold with my vet for less then ten minutes and that she's already gone out of her way and is "jumping through hoops for me". By calling my vet and doing her job ??? Said I'd need call them and have them fax over the info for my car I already have she was yelling at me cutting me off nonstop. Said my cat wasn't vaccinated. So at this point I gave up she has been nothing but rude yelling at me not letting me speak over simple fixes like resending the application. She called me a third time not sure why said she had reached out to my vet again and still nothing. She then cut me off and said I had been cutting her off, yelling and being disrespectful. I actually began to cry because she was speaking to me in such a rude way. All I had done was try and be polite and work with her. I never yelled at her or was disrespectful. At this point I said I wasn't interesting in adopting anymore. I will from now on avoid the cat sanctuary. I've never been treated like that..
